Chapter 1 The Bloodshed Caused by the Headphones

In the dormitory of the Materials Science and Engineering University in Shanghai, Li Zhenhua was packing his luggage.

A boy was watching him, but didn't go up to help. However, you could still see the reluctance on his face.

"Zhenhua, are you really sure? Are you really going to drop out of school like this?"

Why don't you think about it again? I have a feeling you're playing with your future.

Li Zhenhua's roommate leaned against his bed and spoke to him.

"Get off me, you're pressing down on my sheets."

Li Zhenhua's hands were unaffected, and he continued packing his things.

Looking up at his roommate's reluctant gaze, Li Zhenhua couldn't help but feel a little sad.

"Fang Guo, this really isn't something I can decide. Rather than have the school expel me, it's better to leave with dignity. If I can't afford to offend them, can't I at least avoid them?"

Li Zhenhua said helplessly that he should have called the police in the first place; he really didn't expect things to develop to this point.

"Damn, this is so pathetic. How did it get to this point? Are the school and everyone here blind?"

You didn't leave the lab door open, and nothing was stolen. Just because you were the last one out, they're blaming you?

This once pure campus is no longer pure.

Fang Guo vented his frustrations, but he was helpless as he watched his brother drop out of school so dejectedly.

"Alright, let's not discuss this anymore. The school probably has its own difficulties. It's all been suppressed now, so what's the point of bringing it up again?"

Li Zhenhua couldn't help but feel a little unwilling, but he quickly stopped thinking about it and decided not to regret his decision.

"I've left you everything I can't take with me. Okay, don't be sad. Anyway, our hometowns aren't far apart, so you're welcome to come visit me anytime."

After Li Zhenhua finished speaking, he pushed his suitcase out of the dormitory, and Fang Guo helped carry his things.

As the two walked through the campus, passersby looked at Li Zhenhua with a variety of expressions in their eyes: sympathy, indifference, apathy, and even pity.

"Brother, hang in there. Don't let these things defeat you. Be strong. I believe the sun will shine again someday." This was a classmate he ran into, patting Li Zhenhua on the shoulder to comfort him.

Most of his classmates shared this attitude, which made Li Zhenhua feel much better.

After seeing someone off for a thousand miles, they must eventually part ways. Li Zhenhua dropped Fang Guo off at the school gate and didn't let him go any further.

As I left the school gate, I turned around and looked up at the school gate, banishing the last trace of lingering affection from my mind.

Li Zhenhua slowly pushed a suitcase in one hand to the bus stop, where he sat on a suitcase and waited for the next bus to arrive.

He couldn't help but think about the magical events that had recently happened to him. It was actually caused by a small incident: he was the last to leave the lab, and someone went in to look for something, but that person didn't have the necessary permissions.

However, to Li Zhenhua's surprise, he was taken away by the school security guards shortly after returning to his dormitory that night.

I explained all the facts at the security office, but the person in charge of security for that area just wanted to find a scapegoat and quickly suppress the matter.

Although they didn't do anything to him, they did lock him up in the security office and issued a notice at the school with lightning speed.

The result was that Li Zhenhua received a demerit and was placed on probation at the school.

The next day, when Li Zhenhua came out, he found that everything had changed, and the way people looked at him was strange.

After learning of his punishment, Li Zhenhua was furious and posted the incident online.

From this point on, Li Zhenhua's nightmare began. His post quickly became a hot topic. The contradictory events made the entire school's teachers and students happily gossip. But it didn't stop there; somehow it spread outside the school.

Anyway, after a series of maneuvers, the person in charge cleared himself of any wrongdoing, leaving a minor figure as a scapegoat, and Li Zhenhua's innocence was restored.

But his days at school started to get tough, and he faced difficulties everywhere.

At this point, Li Zhenhua's advisor also came to find him. The advisor put three thousand yuan in front of him and advised him to take the tuition and withdraw from school.

The counselor also told him that because he had posted online before, the online public opinion was extremely unfavorable to the school. In any case, he was already socially dead at the school and would not get any good results in the end.

Finally, the counselor patted Li Zhenhua on the shoulder and told him to think it over carefully.

Having no other choice, Li Zhenhua had to drop out of school. It wasn't that he didn't want to fight to the end, but that he lacked the power. Now he was just an ant, his words carrying little weight and no one would hear what he said.

With Li Zhenhua gone, the campus returned to peace once again.

Li Zhenhua dragged his luggage, boarded the finally arriving bus, and headed towards Shanghai Railway Station.

Li Zhenhua retrieved his ticket from the automatic ticket vending machine. He checked the time and found that there was only a little over an hour left before departure. Considering the time allotted for boarding and ticket checking, he would arrive at the station just in time.

After navigating the crowded elevator, I finally got my ticket checked at the ticket gate and made it onto the platform.

As he watched the train approaching from afar, his terrible mood after being expelled from school finally began to change a little. This train was the way home!

This time, Li Zhenhua didn't compromise himself; he didn't need a business class ticket, so he just bought a first-class ticket.

After putting all his luggage away, Li Zhenhua finally had time to think about his future while sitting in the car.

Li Zhenhua, a native of Dongshan, is currently a junior at a university in Shanghai, majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. He will graduate next year.

He had excellent grades and was planning to take the postgraduate entrance exam next year.

I was supposed to stay at the university's research institute, but I never expected that the theft would disrupt everything.

"What should I do when I get home? Actually, my major isn't very useful in this small county town."

I originally wanted to pursue a career in scientific research, but now that path has been completely cut off. Sigh, I'm just unlucky to have gotten myself into this mess.

Well, let's take it one step at a time and rest at home for a while first.

Anyway, I still have a lot of money on hand, so I don't need to worry about money for the time being. As Li Zhenhua was thinking in his seat, the train started moving.

Li Zhenhua looked up at the LED display screen in front of him, where the speedometer gradually increased from over 80 kilometers per hour to over 300 kilometers per hour.

Looking out the window, the scenery outside was completely obscured, quickly receding behind him.

Feeling a bit bored on the bus, he took out his phone to browse the internet, mainly to see if the controversy he had caused had subsided.

Just as he was about to open Baidu Forum, it pushed a message to him: "Universities are taking turns raising their admission scores at the end of the year, and a certain medical university..."

"What's going on this year? Is there an end-of-year assessment for this thing?"

Why were they all exposed at once? Well, that's fine, it helps to divert some of my attention.

Although it's a bit unfair to the guy who got hit, well, we're in the same boat. I doubt he'll stay at school for long.

Li Zhenhua muttered to himself with some emotion, and then slowly fell asleep in the car.
