The plot is heating up: Update! Come check out Cola Novels!

Now, 8,000 new students have enrolled and are about to begin teaching, but most teachers are still immersed in the library, studying the teaching materials day and night.

Many people haven't even submitted their lesson plans to him yet, so we need to give them a talking-to and make them change their roles as soon as possible.

"A staff meeting will be held tonight at 7 PM in the small auditorium of the office building. Everyone must attend without a valid reason!"

After a moment's thought, he opened the faculty and staff group and posted a notification as an administrator.

The small auditorium was quite large. After receiving the notice at 7 p.m. that evening, all the faculty and staff arrived at the meeting place one after another, took their seats, and looked at Wei Ying standing on the podium in front of them.

"Let's get straight to the point," Wei Ying said, glancing at everyone. "Today's meeting will mainly cover three topics."

"First, I would like to give special recognition to five people: Lu Jianhua, Hu Zhengchu, Yu Guangchu, Qi Limin, and Yang Anguo."

"In a short period of time, they learned from the textbooks, developed new theoretical results, and obtained SCI recognition, which were published in leading international academic journals."

The moment the words were spoken, the entire hall was taken aback. All the teachers turned to look at the five people sitting at the very front.

During this period of time, they were so engrossed in studying the textbooks that they never expected that someone around them would secretly publish a research paper and have it indexed by SCI!

"You guys hid so well!" The crowd glared at the five people with reproach, their eyes filled with envy.

As fellow academics, they all know the value of SCI papers, and the theoretical achievements published by Lu Jianhua and the other four are absolutely cutting-edge in the world.

"Ahem, keep it low-key, keep it low-key. It's just a theoretical study on nuclear energy curvature. I'm still forty-nine papers away from becoming the dean," Qi Limin said modestly, looking at everyone.

Everyone rolled their eyes; this was definitely Versailles, and at the same time, they felt a strong sense of pressure.

Competition among colleagues is fierce, since promotions at Haichuan University are directly linked to academic ability.

To become a department head, you need ten SCI-level papers; to become an associate dean, you need twenty; and to become a dean, you need fifty.

Each position has a limited number of openings, and if they are slow, they will be snapped up by others.

"Alright, let's move on to the second item on the agenda." Wei Ying coughed lightly, interrupting the discussion, and then began to chair the meeting.

"Now, 8,000 new students have enrolled one after another, and I have assigned corresponding class teachers according to their majors, totaling 213."

"We hope that teachers who serve as homeroom teachers will uphold the principle of educating and nurturing students, imparting knowledge effectively while paying close attention to students' physical and mental development, improving teaching methods, and enhancing teaching quality."

He then publicly announced the list of the 213 homeroom teachers.

Those whose names were called couldn't help but smile wryly, which meant they had even less time to study the textbooks and conduct research.

Those whose names weren't called gloated over the situation.

"Next, there are 198 counselors who will be responsible for the students' lives and emotions." Wei Ying then publicly announced the appointment of the 198 counselors.

Those who had been gloating earlier suddenly looked dejected and could no longer laugh.

"Finally, let's get to the main point of this meeting." Wei Ying glanced at the crowd below and smiled slightly.

"To improve teaching quality and enhance teaching capabilities, the teaching indicators for the first semester of Haichuan University have been finalized and sent to your email addresses."

The 1,500 teachers below all lowered their heads, took out their phones, opened their emails, and looked at the latest teaching indicator emails, and couldn't help but gasp.

"Three SCI-level papers per semester, an 80% pass rate for students, and each student in each major winning at least three domestic and international awards?"

After reading the email, everyone felt a chill run down their spines, as if three mountains were pressing down on them.

In addition to the requirements for them, the indicators also include requirements for students. An 80% pass rate means that each student needs to have mastered 80% of the knowledge in the textbook.

The domestic and international awards won must be first prizes; second prizes do not count. Each one is ridiculously difficult to obtain.

Moreover, the higher the current position, the higher the quota. For example, when Hu Zhengchu became the vice dean, the number of papers required became five, the pass rate became ninety percent, and the number of awards also became five.

Lu Jianhua's number of index papers increased to ten, his pass rate increased to 100%, and he received ten awards.

"Alright, meeting adjourned!" After giving his instructions, Wei Ying left the hall, leaving behind 1,500 people staring at each other, bewildered.

That evening, at the faculty and staff dormitory building.

The semester had only just begun, and before the students could even feel the pressure, they were the first to feel it; even the food in the cafeteria didn't taste as good anymore.

"It seems unlikely that the principal's target can be reversed." Everyone sighed and gathered together again to discuss how to achieve the target.

The email clearly stated that if the targets are not met by the end of the semester, the student will be expelled from Haichuan University! The consequences are extremely serious!

"A semester lasts for six months, with about four months of classes," Qi Limin said in a deep voice after taking a deep breath.

"In other words, we have to produce a new theoretical finding every two months on average and publish it in an SCI journal."

"This doesn't seem too difficult." Upon hearing this, everyone rolled their eyes again.

"Regarding the pass rate, we can only focus on teaching methods and strive to help students master the knowledge in the textbook as quickly as possible."

Unlike them, the students had limited knowledge, while the textbooks at Haichuan University were extremely profound.

Although the textbook content is presented in a step-by-step manner, students still need to spend a lot of time learning even the basic content at the beginning.

"In addition, the three classrooms can be used frequently to help students understand the knowledge in the textbooks." Everyone nodded.

Both holographic virtual reality classrooms and fully digital smart classrooms can help students learn quickly and thoroughly understand the teaching materials.

"And then there's the issue of domestic and international academic awards." Finally, Qi Limin raised his head, a slight smile playing on his lips. .

"The National College Student Competition is coming up soon, with over a hundred events in total. Let's participate in them all!"

Everyone: "..."

After listening to this analysis, they gradually gained confidence and began to discuss teaching methods and other issues.

The hardest part of achieving the targets doesn't seem to lie with them, but with the students!
