You said you failed your college entrance exam and are now crowdfunding to build a university?

Thinking of this, Song Yushan took a deep breath, took out his brush and ink, laid them on the table, and bent down to copy the text.

Half an hour later, he copied the characters more than forty times, but he still couldn't capture the true meaning behind the four characters "Haichuan University".

As a renowned contemporary calligraphy master, he can easily copy ancient calligraphy, but when he tries to copy these four characters, he fails every time, unable to capture even 20% of their spirit.

A top university, art school.

Yang Anguo is lecturing his students on the history of ancient sculpture. As the dean of the art academy, he is eighty years old this year and is still active in teaching, trying to pass on what he has learned throughout his life.

Most importantly, the domestic sculpture industry is getting worse with each generation. Apart from these old-timers, there isn't a single young person who can take on the main responsibility.

His biggest worry now is that if things continue like this, he may completely decline.

"When it comes to ancient sculptures, the Dunhuang painted sculptures are the most indispensable. They have been preserved for three thousand years, with more than two thousand still existing. Their long history and exquisite craftsmanship are unparalleled in the world."

Yang Anguo sighed, "These painted sculptures are so lifelike; from a distance, they look like true gods descended to earth..."

It is important to know that two thousand years ago, China's achievements in various fields were among the world's best.

No, "leading" isn't quite right; it should be described as overwhelming. It's just a pity that, despite its legacy, it has gradually declined over time.

The West has since caught up, and in the field of sculpture, for example, a Venus de Milo alone has left China far behind.

"Mr. Yang, look at this video." A student suddenly raised his hand, took out his phone, and opened a video. "What level of quality would you rate the sculpture on this school gate?"

Yang Anguo frowned, but still read it carefully.

In the video, a giant gate sits among the mountains, surrounded by clouds and mist.

The next second, a long, imposing dragon seemed to emerge from the clouds, its head raised high, while a graceful phoenix took flight, its wings fluttering in response to the dragon. The scene was incredibly breathtaking.

Upon closer inspection, Yang Anguo realized that the dragon and phoenix were merely visual illusions created by the refraction of light and shadow, and did not actually exist; they were simply two sculptures.

"Lifelike, indistinguishable from the real thing, this is the highest realm of sculpture!" Yang Anguo's pupils contracted slightly, he murmured softly, and his body trembled involuntarily.

This...this is the realm he pursued his whole life but could never attain!

"What level? This is world-class!" He took a deep breath and quickly looked at the student. "Which master in China created this sculpture?"

He was certain that this work originated in China. Dragons and phoenixes are unique to China.

"Well... I don't know either. I only know that it's the gate of Haichuan University," the student answered truthfully.

"Haichuan University?" Yang Anguo was taken aback, only then noticing the four characters on the gate in the video.

But this university seems different from other universities, very unique, with mountains as its backdrop, straddling two mountains.

"If I want to get to know this master, I'm afraid the only way is through Haichuan University," Yang Anguo frowned and thought to himself.

After watching the video, all he can think about is meeting this legendary master in person and learning sculpting techniques from him.

It's important to understand that it's virtually impossible to create the illusion of a sculpture "coming to life" under specific lighting and angles.

But the gate of Haichuan University has achieved this. This requires taking into account the surrounding environment, lighting, and the angle of view from below, and integrating these elements into the sculpture to give people the feeling of being in a heavenly palace.

It sounds simple, but it's incredibly difficult to do.

Meanwhile, on social media platforms, "Haichuan University" went viral, constantly dominating the trending topics.

The completion of the school gate caused a sensation not only in the four provinces but also across the country. Videos of the gate were widely shared, garnering over a million likes and countless comments.

"This is the university of my dreams! If the gate is this magnificent, how bad could the campus be?"

"Has anyone gone to check it out? The video might have had special effects added; is it really that amazing in real life?"

"I just went there this morning, and all I can tell you is that experiencing it in person is even more breathtaking!"

"Haichuan University is absolutely unbeatable! Just looking at their gates alone, which other university can compete?"

"Stop talking, just thinking about my university gate makes me want to cry."

Without comparison, there is no harm. The gate of Haichuan University reminded many netizens of their own university gates, and they called Haichuan University their "dream university".

Soon, some "enthusiastic" netizens compiled pictures of the gates of the world's top 100 universities and compared them with Haichuan University one by one. They were surprised to find that Haichuan University really had no rivals.

"After all, they're building proper universities, but Haichuan University is different; it's building a celestial palace!"

"I've made up my mind, I won't apply to anything but Haichuan University!"

"The school gate is built, but what about the rest? Where will the cafeteria, dormitories, teaching buildings, and office buildings be built?"

"Don't make a lot of noise but deliver little, ending up as a failed project!"

After the school gate was completed, no one doubted the authenticity of Wei Ying's school construction anymore. Instead, they began to worry about whether Haichuan University could be built.

Many people fear that the construction project will ultimately fail. After all, Haichuan University is built on a mountaintop, making it extremely difficult to construct.

Just then, an anonymous account claimed to have obtained "top-secret construction drawings" and posted them online, causing them to be widely forwarded.

"Really? The construction plans for Haichuan University? How did they even get their hands on that?"

"Wow! It looks real; the construction drawings even show the building steps for the school gate!"

"The campus is divided into four main areas, each covering seven mountain peaks. It feels to me like it was designed according to the Four Symbols and Twenty-Eight Mansions from mythology?"

"I only care where the cafeteria will be built..."

After seeing this "school construction plan", netizens were shocked.

The map clearly shows the specific dimensions of the school gate: 66 meters high, 72 meters wide, and spanning two mountainsides.

The construction process used a segmented splicing method, connecting the sections in the air.

In addition, the construction drawings divide the campus into four areas, forming four major campuses, each covering seven mountains.

The campus spans thirty mountains and covers 800 acres, resembling the legendary Four Symbols and Twenty-Eight Mansions.

However, the thought of the school gate quickly put netizens at ease.

The school gates are like heavenly palaces, and it doesn't seem like a big deal to build a Four Symbols Campus and a Twenty-Eight Mansions Campus inside the school.

A certain architectural research institute.

"Is this a possible architectural design for Haichuan University?" Yuan Feilong also noticed the image circulating online and downloaded it to study it.

In fact, he had been paying attention to the construction of the main gate of Haichuan University.

As the director of a top domestic architectural research institute, he has presided over and participated in the design and construction of countless top-notch buildings, but the gate of Haichuan University truly opened his eyes.

Before this, he had never imagined that someone would dare to build the school gate between two mountains.
