Frost fell on the mountains and rivers last night, and several trees turned red amidst the yellow.

Before anyone knew it, Changshou had been living in Zhuwu for more than half a month.

In late autumn, Fangcun Mountain is ablaze with color.

Chang Shou finally made all the preparations and invited his friends to his new home for a housewarming party.

Because it was closer, we arrived first.

Present a century-old deer as a gift.

This old deer is a living creature, an old spirit with accumulated experience, but its bloodline is ordinary and its magical power is mediocre. Even though it has been sentient for more than thirty years, its cultivation level is only about the same as that of a round-faced fat chicken that has been cultivating for more than three years.

Ke Da specially found it to guard Chang Shou's house. He originally wanted to find a demon dog, but he couldn't find one. Instead, he found this old deer and brought it with him.

Chang Shou readily accepted this offer.

Firstly, this deer is a token of Ke Da's goodwill.

Secondly, I do lack a footman.

Thirdly, this deer demon is skilled in plant magic and has the stamina of an ox, so it can help take care of the fields.

Fourthly, this deer has prominent antlers; century-old deer antlers are a valuable commodity. Although not a panacea, they are still superior to ordinary deer antlers.

As long as you raise them yourself, you can harvest deer antlers regularly, ensuring a continuous supply.

The monkey and Zhenli arrived together as usual.

"Old Chang, good things come in pairs!"

Remember to make me some peach blossom wine.

Sun Wukong was carrying a spirit peach tree.

"You greedy monkey!"

Don't worry, once the peach trees blossom and bear fruit, you'll get plenty of wine.

Chang Shou laughed so hard his eyes disappeared.

This spiritual root looks like it was dug up by a monkey from Rotten Peach Mountain.

Looking across the entire Slanting Moon Three Stars Cave, only this audacious monkey, favored by the patriarch, dared to do such a thing, directly fleecing the blessed land.

One has two.

Having already received one spiritual root, receiving another would be a natural next step, just as Wukong said, good things come in pairs.

A warm home should be auspicious.

Zhenli, Ruchang, and Xingwu all sent their congratulatory gifts.

Zhen Li: "Congratulations, fellow Daoist, on finding a new place to stay. May your cultivation be smooth in the future, and may you attain the status of a Human Immortal soon."

The current senior disciple of Fangcun Mountain gave him a box of spiritual tea.

As usual: "Congratulations on moving to your new home."

The alchemist who had attained enlightenment through the White Snake remained cold and taciturn, offering a bottle of Qi-replenishing pills.

Xingwu: "Congratulations, fellow Daoist, on finding a place to stay. This humble monk enjoys good food, and the mountains are rich in wild game. I will inevitably have to bother you in the future."

Please don't find me troublesome then.

The high monk gave me two winemaking recipes, which recorded two kinds of spiritual wine: one to nourish the body and the other to regulate magical power, both of which can be used for longevity.

Chang Shou accepted the wine recipe with a broad smile and said:

"I have no fellow Daoists willing to come, but I cannot obtain them."

"My humble abode is simple and lacks fine things, so you'll have to bring your own food, fellow Daoist. You can't very well rely on a poor old man like me who's so poor he's practically eating dirt."

They joked with each other, creating a lively atmosphere.

Chang Shou invited them inside. After they were seated, two fox spirits and a round-faced fat chicken promptly served them spiritual tea.

It was some tea that Zhenli had given to Changshou before, and he was now using it to entertain his guests.

---

Soon more guests arrived.

It was the old fox from Triangle Mountain.

Out of consideration for their acquaintance, Changshou invited the demon and fellow Daoist Guangzhi, who was stationed at Huangfeng Ridge.

Let them get acquainted with their home.

Whether they come or not is not important, what is important is...

Cough cough cough~!

The important thing is to know that you've moved and that you need to have a housewarming party.

It was definitely not because I was greedy for the gifts.

"This humble demon greets all venerable immortals..."

The old fox bowed respectfully and cautiously.

Upon seeing their grandfather arrive, the two fox spirits, Ta Xue and Xue Wang, frolicked around the old fox, wagging their tails happily like lapdogs.

Upon seeing his grandchildren, Old Li smiled, his tense nerves easing considerably.

He took out two gifts.

One thing: the ginseng that the Tanuki tribe prepared a hundred-year-old plant.

One of them was the spiritual fruit that Guangzhi and his companions brought.

Chang Shou accepted the two gifts without hesitation, and while warmly entertaining the old fox, he looked towards the direction of the Slanting Moon Three Stars Cave with anticipation on his face.

Seeing Chang Shou like this, apart from Sun Wukong, Zhen Li and the others had strange expressions.

They knew what Changshou was waiting for.

Who would have thought that this fellow Daoist would be so bold as to send an invitation to the Patriarch through a monkey, inviting him to his housewarming ceremony?

Let alone Chang Shou, a deacon who was expelled, even the nominal disciples wouldn't dare to do that.

Although Changshou's actions were reasonable, since he had built a hermitage on Lingtai Fangcun Mountain and it was proper for him to invite Bodhi Patriarch, the mountain lord, to his housewarming party.

No one can find fault with it.

Being polite and thoughtful is one thing, but having the courage to act is another.

Inside the house at the Slanting Moon and Three Stars Cave.

Bodhi Patriarch's lips twitched, his face completely speechless.

He glanced at the invitation that had been sent and then at the bamboo grove where he was waiting to attend. He originally intended to ignore it and not even bother to give a gift.

One can think about future plans.

I realized that the invitation was sent by Chang Shou through his beloved disciple.

He thought about how he was perceived by Wukong.

Bodhi Patriarch changed his mind and casually tossed out a porcelain bottle, which disappeared before it even hit the ground.

"You got off easy, you old bastard."

That being said, it's still a legitimate way to subsidize Changshou, lest his cultivation level be too low and weaken the effectiveness of my plan.

Inside the bamboo dock.

Invisible ripples spread through the space.

A porcelain vase appeared silently.

No living being noticed.

Changshou and the others didn't notice the object until it was fully visible on the table.

They were slightly taken aback, but quickly realized what was happening.

Chang Shou rose and bowed towards the void.

"Thank you for your honor, Master."

His voice was loud and cheerful.

Looking across Fangcun Mountain, only Patriarch Bodhi possessed such unpredictable and mysterious abilities.

As for Sun Wukong, he had only been cultivating for a little over a month, so it was difficult for him to do that.

He simply followed protocol and tried to send an invitation to the patriarch.

I prepared a banquet for half a month in order to prevent the patriarch from attending. Better safe than sorry!

Unexpectedly, the patriarch did not appear but sent a gift.

Chang Shou was naturally grateful.

Inside the Cave of the Crescent Moon and Three Stars, Patriarch Bodhi smiled and said, "You old codger, you do have some conscience after all."

After the ceremony was completed.

Chang Shou quickly put away the porcelain bottle.

Looking around at the guests, he said loudly:

"Gentlemen, it's time to begin the banquet."

---

Ten dishes, symbolizing perfection.

Five meat dishes and five vegetable dishes symbolize the harmony and balance of heaven and earth.

Eight of the dishes feature wild mountain delicacies, each corresponding to one of the Eight Trigrams.

The two divine dishes correspond to the two elements.

One jar of spirit wine corresponds to one yuan.

The warm housewarming banquet was a joyous occasion for everyone, from the demons to the guests, until the moon rose high above the willow branches and all was in high spirits.

The guests left after enjoying themselves.

Changshou closed the door, not in a hurry to check the congratulatory gift.

He returned to his room, lay down on his bed, and quickly fell asleep.

The bright moon shines on the bamboo grove, and fireflies dance like stars scattered across the mountains and rivers. The green bamboo and the silvery moonlight complement each other, making the bamboo grove seem to be draped in a layer of silver gauze, adding a hazy and dreamlike quality to this tranquil mountain.

This brings a perfect end to this warm homecoming celebration.

This also signifies a new beginning for the owner of this place.

It's as if a new story is about to unfold, and a new journey of cultivation is about to begin.
