HP: Wizards at Hogwarts

Chapter 9 Extraordinary Magic

Clearly, the system is still the same system.

Even though Elaine obtained the identity of a "first-year prospective student at Hogwarts", the system did not add information such as "spells", "potions", "dark magic", "transmutation" or "herbs" to his data panel.

This put his mind at ease.

The system is indeed useful, but the character cards it summons can only help Elivin improve his physical attributes and gain some magic.

Although these spells can be considered another type of 'silent and wandless' magic, he still has to learn the native magic of this world little by little.

"Merlin's stockings!"

"Forget Avada Kedavra, I don't even know the simplest Polymorph Charm!!"

"With the bonus from three character cards, I have enough mana, but my skills are severely lacking!"

This world is based on the concept of "magic," and this magic increases as the wizard grows stronger.

But few wizards experience a shortage of magic like those in the FT world.

Moreover, the magic power in this world cannot be quantified like the mana bar in a game, because it is not the primary factor determining output.

What truly determines the strength and stability of magic is the wizard's will!

That being said, having enough magic is always better than having too little.

Now that I have enough magic power, all I need is magical skills.

With that in mind, Elaine hurriedly opened the secondhand book he had bought at Flourish and Blotts today and began practicing spells to fill his skill bar.

Although the magic in the FT world and the HP world are different in essence, they have one thing in common: they are both very idealistic.

And in this respect, the magic in the HP world is even more powerful.

In the FT world, magic at least has concepts like 'theory', 'magic circles', and 'runes'; but in the HP world, magic is simply 'the power of thought' that only appears in fairy tales!

But this is good, at least I don't have to learn those tedious, boring, and tedious things anymore.

"Fluorescent lights!!"

"Completely cleaned up!!"

"Yugadimurleviosa!!"

"Restored to its original state!!"

"Fainted and collapsed!!"

"They'll all turn to stone!!"

"Crushed to pieces!!"

Half an hour later.

Elaine put down his wand, looked at the scattered objects on the ground, and his eyes were filled with barely suppressed excitement.

"The flow of magic is much easier than I expected, and I've successfully cast several basic spells..."

"Is it because of those three mage character cards, or am I just a genius?"

Elaine couldn't help but ponder.

The system only awakened on its own eleventh birthday this year, and the Pen of Acceptance wrote its name into the Book of Admission before it turned eleven.

This means that I am a born wizard in this life!

"Back when I was in the orphanage, there were indeed many unusual things happening around me."

"Looking back now, those situations were probably all manifestations of magical surges."

"According to the world's setting, the more frequently a young wizard's magical energy surges, the higher their talent. Back then... emmm, it seems like it did happen quite frequently, and it caused the orphanage a lot of trouble."

Elaine pulled her thoughts back to the present.

"No matter what, it's always a good thing to learn and master spells quickly."

For the rest of the time, Elaine stayed at home, constantly practicing the spells from the books he had bought.

Once you get it, twice you master it, three times you become proficient, four times you integrate it completely, and five times you innovate!

Elaine's progress was so fast that even he couldn't believe it!

As he delved deeper into the study of spells, he couldn't help but ponder another matter.

Are the magic inherited from the system and the magic in this world essentially the same?

To understand this, we need to analyze the differences between the two types of magic.

Fortunately, Elaine had experienced both Apparition and Teleportation, and had learned both Oblivion and Memory Magic, so he wasn't completely at a loss when it came to analyzing the situation.

After gaining a deeper understanding of the two types of magic, Elaine finally made some progress.

The answer is...

completely different!

Compared to the native magic used by wizards in the HP universe, the magic in the FT universe is more similar to the magic used by house-elves.

That's right, the magic used by house-elves and the magic used by wizards are fundamentally different.

They each follow their own independent set of rules for the operation of magic.

Furthermore, magic derived from these two magical rules is compatible in this world.

The magic in the FT world is different from the magic of house-elves. It should be considered a third type of magic, born under the third set of magic operating rules.

This type of magic, unlike the previous two types, cannot be detected by the Ministry of Magic's devices.

This is why Elaine altered the memories of the Ritz Hotel manager for so long without being discovered by the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic.

After reaching this conclusion, Elaine felt much more relaxed.

Then he began to compare the magic of the two worlds.

Most of the spells in the HP universe can be found in the FT universe by Elaine.

Take the magic he has obtained from the three character cards, for example: "Teleportation Magic" is equivalent to "Apparition"; "Memory Magic" is equivalent to "Obscurus", "Obscurus", and half of "Leech".

The reason I say "half" is because Mester's memory magic only has the ability to search memories within "Levitation," but not the ability to read minds in real time.

If Elaine can later obtain the "Poison Dragon" Eric's character card and acquire his "Sound Magic," then he can make up for the remaining deficiencies.

Furthermore, the principle of the "Illusion Charm" is similar to the "Twisted Ray" of the night, the "Glowing Charm" is a rudimentary application of "light magic," the "Immortal Charm" can be seen as a superior form of "Absolute Command Spell," and the "Killing Charm" and "Fairy Law" are both powerful weapons of idealism...

If he could obtain the "Fire Dragon Slayer Magic" or the "Flame God Slayer Magic," Elivin wouldn't even be immune to the "Fire Curse"!

Of course, there are always exceptions.

Elaine couldn't find any magical alternatives to the Transfiguration Charm, Patronus Charm, and Unseen Expansion Charm that were quite important in this world.

Some magic in the FT world, such as 'Perception Slowdown' and 'Gunner' which Elaven now possesses, cannot be achieved with similar spells in this world.

It's important to know that in this world, a wizard's spellcasting speed is extremely important.

Because most wizards are high in attack and low in defense, often the outcome can be decided and life or death can be determined by taking the initiative.

The spell "Perception Slowdown" will give Elaven a significant advantage in battle.

As for "Costume Change Gunner", it goes without saying.
