HP: Wizards at Hogwarts

Chapter 54 Elivin in Action...

Hufflepuff's first-year Defense Against the Dark Arts class is on Wednesdays, with Gryffindor students attending alongside them, taught by Professor Quirinus Quirrell.

Elaine also knew something about Professor Quirrell.

He is an outstanding graduate of Ravenclaw, not yet thirty years old, and quite handsome.

He has a very solid foundation in magical theory, is ambitious at work, enjoys traveling in his leisure time, and also studies Muggles—he has been the professor of Muggle Studies at Hogwarts for the past three years!

From any perspective, he is an exceptionally talented individual.

However, Professor Quirrell is not without his flaws; his combat skills are not very good, and his mental fortitude is also not very strong.

Nevertheless, his performance at Hogwarts was still commendable, and he left a good impression on others both during his student years and his tenure.

Unfortunately, this talented young man became Voldemort's first victim upon his return.

In order to improve his abilities, Professor Quirrell applied to Dumbledore to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor during the summer vacation. After receiving approval, he resolutely embarked on a journey, hoping to hone his Defense Against the Dark Arts skills through this trip.

Unfortunately, when he traveled to the dark forests of Albania, he was accidentally possessed by Voldemort.

Professor Quirrell was helpless against Voldemort's possession and dared not tell anyone else about it.

In order to survive, he had no choice but to obey Voldemort's orders, become Voldemort's servant, and hide Voldemort's existence in various ways.

Including but not limited to: wearing a purple scarf around one's head, using the smell of garlic to mask the stench of decaying flesh...

In the original story, Professor Quirrell was possessed by Voldemort for a full year. During this time, his life force was almost completely drained, his personality turned completely dark, and he eventually died at the end of the term in a confrontation between Harry and Voldemort.

What a tragic fate!

Elaine looked at Professor Quirrell with a hint of pity in his eyes.

On the podium, Professor Quirrell was still reading the contents of the textbook in his halting tone.

The only difference between him and Professor Binns is that he still knows to interact with the students from time to time, so that the young wizards can listen to his lectures properly.

Unfortunately, no one was interested in this teaching method.

The extremely impatient voice, along with the strong smell of garlic in the classroom, made the young wizards all drowsy.

Elaine's mind was still wandering.

If you calculate the time, it's been less than two months since Professor Quirrell was possessed by Voldemort.

If Voldemort could be separated from the back of his head at this moment, he might still have a chance to live. But how should we do it?

Should we tell Dumbledore directly and ask him to take action?

But does Dumbledore have a way to solve this?

More importantly, how should I explain the source of the intelligence?

When Dumbledore hears this, he will definitely think: Even he didn't notice Voldemort behind Quirrell's head, but you, a first-year wizard, did. There must be a big problem!

Elaine wanted to save as many people as possible, but he didn't want to get into trouble!

Even after two Defense Against the Dark Arts classes were over, Elaine still couldn't come up with a suitable solution.

Thursday afternoon, Spells class.

Today I'm teaching a very practical cleansing spell.

Unlike the Glowing Charm, the Cleansing Charm can't be performed in a fancy way, so Flitwick didn't have Elaine stand up to demonstrate, but instead started talking directly.

He briefly explained the incantation and spellcasting techniques of the Cleansing Charm, and then let everyone practice freely. He then moved between the desks, checking on the students' learning of the Glowing Charm one by one.

He checked the Slytherin students first, then the Hufflepuff students.

If a student is not yet proficient in using it, I will stop and give them some serious guidance.

Soon, Flitwick arrived in front of Elaine.

Just as Elaine was about to show him his strength, he found that the other man did not stop walking at all. He just smiled at him and was about to walk to the next student.

"professor."

Elaine quickly called out to him to stop.

Flitwick was somewhat surprised, but he stopped anyway: "Is there something you need, Mr. Yakut?"

"Aren't you going to check on my training results?"

"Oh, Mr. Yakut, your glowing charm is so excellent, I'm sure a simple cleansing charm won't be difficult for you, so there's no need to check it!"

Flitwick winked at Elaine and joked, "I know that boys your age always enjoy the sense of superiority from showing off their skills and the admiring looks from others—I know, because I was like that too—but please be considerate of the other students and don't hurt them too much, okay?"

Elivin: "..."

So, in your eyes, I'm such a shallow person?!

"Since you've put it that way, Professor, then fine, I'll stop pretending."

Elaine said, "I already know all the spells in the first-year textbook, so I was wondering if you could teach me some advanced and practical spells when you have some free time?"

Flitwick was taken aback at first, then a look of surprise and delight appeared on his face.

"Of course, no problem!"

"I warmly welcome an excellent and eager-to-learn wizard like yourself to come and learn about spells!"

"In fact, every Saturday morning from nine to twelve o'clock, I teach some spells outside of the regular curriculum here, but there are always very few people who come to listen, and they are mostly Ravenclaw students."

"If you want to learn more advanced spells, just come here every Saturday morning."

Flitwick was both excited and amazed.

The exciting thing is that, after so many days of school, a student finally approached me saying they wanted to learn more spells;

The irony is that this student wasn't from Ravenclaw.

Merlin's beard!

This diligent and studious little wizard is born to be Ravenclaw!

How did he end up in Hufflepuff?

After class, Elaine didn't go straight back to his dorm like he had the previous two days. Instead, he took a batch of documents and went to Professor McGonagall's office.

"Professor, excuse me."

"Mr. Yakut, what's the matter?"

Professor McGonagall stopped what she was doing, adjusted her glasses, and looked at Elaine.

What is this little wizard up to now?

Elaine approached Professor McGonagall: "It's like this, Professor."

"These days, I've noticed that Hogwarts has very limited after-school activities."

"Therefore, I would like to form several clubs at school, and I hope to get your approval."

"These documents are my draft proposals; please take a look!"
