Chinese Entertainment King: Starting as a Fat Boy and Becoming a Singing King

Chapter 23 Go for it, let's win the championship!

Hua Shao walked out from the side stage with a big smile on his face.

"Thank you, Xu Yao! That was fantastic!"

He walked over to Xu Yao and turned to face the audience.

"Now, let's invite Yu Feng back to the stage."

As Yu Feng walked out of the waiting area, he and Xu Yao exchanged a glance.

Yu Feng nodded slightly, and Xu Yao also nodded.

Yu Feng stood next to Xu Yao, and the two stood side by side.

One was slender and upright, the other broad and robust, like two trees of different species.

Hua Shao stood between the two men and turned towards the mentor's seat.

"Teacher Qi Qin, what is your suggestion?"

Qi Qin leaned back in his chair, his arms crossed over his chest.

He glanced at Yu Feng, then at Xu Yao, remained silent for a few seconds, and then picked up the microphone.

"Yu Feng, your performance on stage today reminded me of a saying: 'He is the dark horse miracle on this stage.'"

Qi Qin's voice wasn't loud, but he pronounced each word very clearly.

"With the song 'Treasure,' you've turned it into an attitude. You're not just singing a song; you're telling everyone that the stage belongs to you."

He paused for a moment, then turned his gaze to Xu Yao.

"As for Xu Yao..." Qi Qin smiled, "Are you sure you're fat?"

The whole audience burst into laughter.

"That's an exaggeration."

Qi Qin shook his head, his tone becoming serious.

"To be honest, your performances today were like a typhoon showdown, it was really hard to say who was better. Yu Feng's stage was exquisite, complete, like a well-crafted work of art. Xu Yao's stage was explosive, wild, like a volcanic eruption. I like both styles."

"If I had to recommend one, I would choose Yu Feng."

Applause erupted from the audience.

Hua Shao nodded: "Thank you, Teacher Qi Qin. Thank you, Teacher Wang Feng."

Wang Feng sat up straight. He took off his glasses, wiped them, and put them back on, his expression as serious and earnest as ever.

"Yu Feng".

Wang Feng spoke, his voice low and deep, each word carefully chosen.

"Your performance today showed me the potential of a mature singer. You weren't competing; you were putting on a concert. This relaxed feeling, this attitude of 'I'm just here to have fun', is something many singers strive for for years but never achieve."

He paused, then turned his gaze to Xu Yao: "Xu Yao, you surprised me. To be honest, from the blind auditions onwards, you were the one I least expected to succeed. Not because of your singing skills—your singing skills have always been excellent. It was because of your health. I was always worried that you wouldn't be able to make it to the end."

The audience fell silent.
