LOL: Alliance Intelligence King

"Chen Rui, you're fired."

After receiving the termination letter from the IG manager, Chen Rui stared at the contents in disbelief, his fists clenching and unclenching.

"I see."

Chen Rui's lips moved, but he didn't offer any explanation.

He knew that no matter how much he pleaded, he couldn't change anything in the face of Su Xiaoluo and the club's actions.

On October 11, 2015, IG's tactics against FNC were leaked.

IG lost the match and were eliminated in the round of 16.

The global League of Legends scene was in uproar, with the LPL region experiencing a surge in negative comments and widespread online abuse. The "e-sports Wang Jingwei" incident has been recorded in LPL history.

After IG lost the game, besides criticizing Tabe and demanding he atone for his mistakes, the rest of the online criticism was directed at IG's coaching staff.

Calls for the coach to step down continue to grow, even trending on Weibo.

Mafa didn't participate in the draft phase and the team underperformed throughout the year. As IG's assistant coach, Chen Rui was pushed to the forefront and became the perfect scapegoat.

Su Xiaoluo cleared her throat: "The club had no other choice but to do this, I hope you can understand."

Chen Rui didn't listen to much of what was said after that.

Listening to it is pointless.

In an effort to quell public opinion, the club abandoned him.

It doesn't matter how many bowls of noodles he ate.

Holding the termination notice, I stood up and walked out.

The club was large, the ceiling lights were bright, and the path to the gate was long.

As he walked out of the manager's office, he glanced at the training room next door, wanting to take one last look at the place where he had worked tirelessly for two years.

In an instant, my thoughts surged.

He is 29 years old this year, and will be 30 in another year.

But Chen Rui still hasn't won a championship, hasn't trained any outstanding players, and hasn't stood on the international stage to compete with SKT's coaching staff!

It has not yet been proven that domestic coaches are no worse than South Korean coaches.

Chen Rui was unwilling to accept being fired.

He opened WeChat and scrolled through the chat history of various club managers.

"Sorry, OMG doesn't need a coach who leaks information."

.......

"LGD doesn't want to be betrayed by its own people."

.......

"VG needs a coach who can lead them to a championship."

He contacted almost every club, but was met with nothing but a barrage of insults and ruthless rejections.

Chen Rui put down his phone, looking dejected.

Inside the training room.

The kids, Zita, and Rookie were still chatting and laughing, and you could vaguely hear someone shouting, "Order first!"

He closed his eyes.

Their conversation struck Chen Rui as jarring.

The harsh sound even gave him a headache.

He quickened his pace, wanting to escape.

My head was getting increasingly painful, and I also felt a strong tearing sensation in my eyes, as if someone was drilling into my brain with an electric drill.

His vision became increasingly blurry.

Fortunately, he managed to grab the wall in time, closed his eyes, and gasped for breath, managing not to fall.

It took Chen Rui an unknown amount of time before he felt himself recover.

He slowly opened his eyes.

But then they found a frame in front of them.

[Coach's Vision has been activated.]

[The coach's account is linked to: League of Legends]

"What?"

Chen Rui thought he was hallucinating from the stress of the "leak incident," so he rubbed his eyes to try and clear his mind of the strange sight.

No matter how he tried, the panel in front of him seemed to be welded right in front of his eyes.

He reached out to touch it, but it passed right through him.

......

My energy level is constantly decreasing.

"You look terrible, do you want to go to the infirmary?" At that moment, Su Xiaoluo's voice came from in front of him, and Chen Rui instinctively looked up at her.

Just as he was about to shake his head, he noticed a data panel floating above Su Xiaoluo's head.

[Su Xiaoluo | IG Club Manager | Chief Manager]

A line of data floated silently above his head, the panel exactly the same as it had appeared before.

The difference is that there is a '+' sign at the bottom of the panel, which suggests that there is hidden information below.

Chen Rui had a sudden thought.

The entire virtual panel was expanded.

[Current Task: Eliminate negative sentiment surrounding IG's World Championship loss and address discontent among club management (Completed)]

[Emotion: Helplessness (Hidden: Anxiety)]

[Struggle: Fearing dismissal, employees might cause trouble if they can't find work; I have a recommended trial opportunity | Snake team head coach's trial position]

Chen Rui stared at the third line of text for two seconds.

The head coach of the Snake team? That's a good place to go.

.....

Chen Rui's energy level dropped a little every now and then, and he felt increasingly tired. The numbness coming from his fingernails made him particularly uncomfortable.

"Why is your face getting paler and paler?"

Su Xiaoluo was startled: "Chen Rui, don't get excited, sit down and talk." As she spoke, she helped Chen Rui to a chair.

"I know this incident will affect your career... and you may even face being ostracized by the industry."

Su Xiaoluo sighed: "But you've already signed the agreement and received the compensation... Let's part ways amicably. The internet has no memory."

Chen Rui pulled out the previous agreement: "Manager, the termination letter stated that I would have a smooth transition, but since the club issued the apology statement, all the online opinions are now directed at me."

I think other clubs won't want me anytime soon, you know that better than anyone.

Su Xiaoluo nodded helplessly.

Chen Rui continued, "Otherwise, you can use your resources to push me to try out for other clubs. Whether I succeed or not is my personal business."

"Manager Luo, you don't want me to report this to the principal and club executives, do you?"

Su Xiaoluo didn't reply.

She looked Chen Rui up and down in surprise, as if she were seeing him for the first time.

Chen Rui looked at the panel above his head.

[Emotion: Anxiety → Relief]

Chen Rui placed the termination letter on the table, waiting for Su Xiaoluo's response.

Although he didn't know why Su Xiaoluo would hide the recommendation opportunity, now that he knew, he had to seize it.

Su Xiaolu hesitated for a long time before nodding.

He took out his phone and dialed a number in front of Chen Rui.

"Manager Zuo Wu, are you still looking for a head coach for the 16 season?"

"You're hiring, right? I can recommend an excellent coach for you..."

"What's your name? Chen Rui."

......

Two minutes later, Su Xiaoluo hung up the phone.

"Zuo Wu wants you to report to the club before 10 a.m. tomorrow, but there's something he needs to make clear to you. Snake team will also have another coach for a trial tomorrow, but he didn't say who it is."

"I've given you the opportunity; whether you succeed or not is up to you."

He pointed to the clause on the termination letter.

Goodbye, Manager.

Chen Rui wouldn't say thank you.

The impact of the "leak" incident on him is still unfolding and may even affect his entire coaching career.

Perhaps, he will never be able to pursue a career again.

He carefully put the termination letter away, got up and walked towards the club's entrance, but just before entering the elevator, he ran into an acquaintance.

Jackeylove, Yu Wenbo.

He has a good relationship with Jack, is technically skilled, has high emotional intelligence, and his AD skills and command ability are several levels higher than 443 Kid's.

As an assistant coach, Chen Rui really admires players like this.

Unfortunately, he is too young to meet the age requirements for LPL competitions, and therefore cannot sign with IG. We can only train him at the club first.

such a pity.

After the leak incident, Chen Rui probably will never have the opportunity to coach such players again.
