Chapter 631 Driving Through the Boundary Sea, Daring Not to Linger

choke!!!

As Guan Luoyang cleaved down with his blade, Yama was instantly torn to pieces, transforming into countless streams of light that scattered outwards.

Even the King of Hell in the Underworld possesses the strength of a Celestial Venerable. When King Pingdeng fled, even Guan Luoyang, who wields the Crimson Lotus Divine Blade, couldn't catch up with him for the time being.

After being struck by the sword energy, the City King used his body as a blade, crashing through several layers of the underworld and withstanding the hellish formation. He was even able to struggle and call for help in his true form as a six-tusked white elephant.

In comparison, Yama, the King of Hell, died far too easily under this blow.

In fact, the moment Guan Luoyang caught up with this Yama King, he had already realized that this Yama King was not the real Yama King.

Indeed, Yama, who previously controlled the entire Hell Array, communicated with countless resentful thoughts, transformed them into weight, and suppressed the sixth layer of the Underworld, was in the central position during this process.

To fulfill such a significant role in operating Hell, his body must be at its strongest.

But the strongest is not the hardest, and the strongest body is not the same as the true body.

Although in the immortal path, the Buddhist path, and even the reincarnation system, most people who rise to the level of eight or nine stars use their true form as their strongest state.

However, within the Taiqing Chiming, there is another path that distinguishes one's true form from one's strongest form.

Indeed, it is the formless demonic path within the demonic path.

The formless demons feed on the hearts and minds of Heaven and Man. The fundamental characteristic of this type of demonic path is that they use the torrent of worldly changes and the shifts in the will of Heaven and the thoughts of Man to raise and nurture the secret demons of the heavens for their own use.

Over the years, Yama has been in charge of the fifth level of the underworld, overseeing countless hells of all sizes. He takes charge of the ghosts of those who have committed great sins throughout the heavens and myriad realms, sentencing and punishing them. In the process, these ghosts are not necessarily filled with only resentment.

They may also have a fear of hell, a hatred and anger towards ghosts and gods, a desire to delay the next round of punishment, and a remorse for their actions in life.

Some ghosts even undergo abnormal changes during prolonged punishment, taking pleasure in pain and experiencing joy.

The most common scenario is that during unforgivable crimes and long periods of punishment, the mind gradually turns to nothingness, but has not yet been refined into pure spirituality, and sinks into a stage of emptiness and confusion.

For the formless demon, consuming this emptiness is like a mortal drinking water; though it has little flavor, it is still exceptionally refreshing when consumed.

The myriad thoughts and desires of the ghosts and spirits are precisely the best resources for raising the formless demon.

Over the years, each of Yama's formless demon heads has been nurtured to the point where they can survive in chaos for a long time without being worn down, which is to say, they have entered the so-called "Secret Demons of the Heavens" stage.

For Yama, these mystical demons of the heavens are both his magical power and his flesh and blood, both his mind and his magical treasures.

His body at its strongest state was formed by piecing together and combining the "Secret Demons of the Heavens" according to the Netherworld Grand Array technique in the demonic path, and then operating them in a chaotic manner.

That is, the body that was struck by Guan Luoyang's sword.

When the blade fell, Youluo dispersed, the mysterious demons scattered, and the illusions shifted. It was arguably the one who suffered the least damage among all those who had been struck by Guan Luoyang that day.

The true form of Yama, in the real sense, which is his divine essence of the Great Dao, has always been scattered throughout all the corners of hell in the fifth layer of the underworld.

Now, because the Hell Array has been broken, all of Hell is rising rapidly into the sky in a chaotic flurry.

At least half of the hell realms are at a height far exceeding Guan Luoyang's current position, and by adjusting the resentment of the hells, they can turn weight into buoyancy and accelerate even more rapidly.

"Do you really think my flowers are just for decoration?!"

Guan Luoyang looked up and laughed, holding his long sword horizontally in front of him. His left hand rested on the blade, slowly sliding from the hilt to the tip.

In the void around him, countless red lotuses had already bloomed, like a dream.

Just as he stroked his long sword, the crimson and dazzling lotus flowers seemed to be stirred by an invisible hand, slowly beginning to rotate.

The spacetime around each lotus flower is thus twisted into wind.

The ghosts and spirits who follow Yama, the King of Hell, sensed the rising tide of hell and seemed slightly affected, subconsciously lowering their heads to peer into the distance.

At that one glance, their hearts instantly escaped their souls, drifting down freely and obliviously, like grains of dust swept away by a whirlpool in the ocean.

The vast void stretches out in a hundred thousand red lotuses!

When this wind rises, the spirits and deities of the fifth level of the underworld, though still possessing their souls, have lost their minds.

As for the myriad celestial demons that had just scattered like streaks of light, they were gathered together by the red lotuses that were scattered throughout the void and forcibly pulled into the interior of the red lotuses.

The mystical demons of the heavens are not bound by physical forms, can escape spatial limitations, penetrate the membrane of the universe, drift freely in the vast void and sea of boundaries, and even silently infiltrate other realms.

However, even these demons cannot completely escape the entanglement of cause and effect. In particular, the myriad secret demons of Yama, the King of Hell, are basically nurtured by the ghostly thoughts of the fifth level of the underworld, and their karmic connection with the underworld is extremely profound.

The Thousand-Petaled Lotus and the Red Lotus Karmic Fire are originally the supernatural powers most adept at pursuing cause and effect karma.

It would be strange if these demons could easily escape the influence of the Crimson Lotus Divine Blade.

When a red lotus devours a certain number of secret demons, it immediately loses its stable petal shape and transforms into a cluster of blazing, bewitching flames.

"Crimson Lotus in Ten Thousand Flames, Demonic Heart Nine-Turn Elixir!"

Guan Luoyang recited in a loud voice, each word clear and slow. In stark contrast to his slow tone, the crimson lotus flames flew in one after another, colliding in the void directly above him.

After the sparks collided, they merged into one, transforming into an even brighter flame.

More and more red lotus karmic fire shot in and crashed into it, causing the demons that were pulled in to collide with each other and hiss.

Those demons, who should have been formless and shapeless, actually took on real shapes under this terrifying impact and hammering.

It looked like a dark red crystal, suspended inside the flames.

Upon closer inspection, its shape resembles a pomegranate with its outer shell removed.

When the 100,000 red lotuses all merged into one, the formless demons also gathered in one body, and were sculpted into a crystal heart by Guan Luoyang's fiery sword energy.

When one's mind undergoes its third transformation, many demonic faces still remain on the surface. By the sixth transformation, only a few rugged and uneven features remain. After the ninth transformation, the mind shines brightly, devoid of any demonic energy or resentment, leaving only a state of mind as flawless as a celestial being and perfect as a Buddha.

Guan Luoyang raised his hand and slashed at the perfected demonic heart.

King Yama, who had already fled to a very far place, suddenly felt a great sense of foreboding well up in his heart.

His true form is scattered throughout all hells, each consciousness like a drop of water, each drop of water offering a different perspective.

Now, these waters have converged into an ocean, gazing together at an illusion that appears above the sea.

It seemed to be a heart, a sun, and in a daze, it also seemed to be the true prototype of the Dao fruit.

This combat power is not due to the blessing of the title of Yama, but rather it is the state that one should possess after cultivating to the level of a Celestial Venerable.

Each person's initial form of Dao Fruit is unique. If it is someone else's initial form of Dao Fruit, no matter how much it is displayed in front of Yama, it may not be able to arouse even the slightest mental fluctuation in him.

However, however! The nascent form of the Dao Fruit before my eyes was not someone else's; it was clearly my own.

Only Yama, the King of Hell, could cultivate to that level and possess such a rudimentary form of Dao Fruit. This stirred an irrepressible longing in him, like the only treasure he had found after searching through countless hells his entire life.

Then, he saw a phantom longsword rise from the ground and strike the nascent, dreamlike Dao Fruit.

"No!!!"

King Yama let out a heartbroken roar, and the essence of the Great Dao spun like the surface of the sea, eager to embrace that nascent Dao Fruit and protect it.

When all his thoughts emerged from those hellish realms, they were all caught off guard and struck by a heart-wrenching blow.

Crimson lotus in a myriad of flames, demonic heart in a nine-turn elixir!

This blade, taken from the Loyal Heart Seal, has evolved into a causal demonic blade, and even more so, a cursed blade.

In Buddhism, the practice of using the power of thought to interfere with the connections between things is called mantra, which is also known as cause and effect.

Curses are the king of all curses in the world, and also the most extreme force of cause and effect in the human heart.

Guan Luoyang shattered the demon's heart with a single strike, as well as the heart of Yama, and then without lingering, his figure flashed, catching up with Yama's true mind and spirit, his long sword drawing a circle in the air.

The scattered and fragmented thoughts, as if cleaved by a sharp blade, instantly coalesced under Guan Luoyang's scroll, transforming into a fundamental mark.

With a tap of the hilt of the Crimson Lotus Blade, it absorbed the mark once more and charged toward a higher realm in the Underworld.

King Biancheng, Lord Taishan, King Zhuanlun, Emperor Huangyun, and others rushed over and witnessed the scene of Yama being suppressed and the red lotus turning into light and disappearing into the distance.

They were no longer shocked; all that remained was a feeling of wanting to sigh deeply.

The King of Hell in the underworld is a warrior of the Heavenly Venerable.

In the past 5.6 billion years, when have we ever seen a battle between celestial beings so decisively and cleanly decided?

Although a large part of the reason is due to the Red Lotus Divine Blade.

However, the intent and strength that this person displayed when wielding the divine sword were all at the highest and most exquisite level.

In the path of cultivation, the deeper one's foundation, the more difficult it is to definitively determine victory or defeat.

The difference between a novice celestial being and a high-level celestial being when they unleash their magic is like heaven and earth.

However, if they really start fighting, it's possible that the battle could last for years or even decades.

The Emperor realm is the realm of an Emperor who has opened up his own Great Dao universe, a true Celestial Venerable. The higher one's cultivation level, the deeper one's foundation, and the harder one is to be truly defeated.

However, that person's swordsmanship seemed to be able to bring the outcome of a battle between celestial beings to a hair's breadth.

Even a slight difference can make the outcome of a battle clear.

"When this person first entered the Celestial Immortal realm, he must have first cultivated an indestructible Dao heart. In this way, when he cultivated into a Celestial Venerable, with the three levels of indestructibility, the cumulative transformation and growth of his Dao heart would be the greatest, which is why he possesses such miraculous abilities."

King Yama, being a man of great knowledge and experience, remarked, "Legend has it that the Fire God was also the first to cultivate an undying Dao heart. When he first became an Emperor, he defeated a master of the same realm with a single sword strike."

Taishan Jun succinctly asked: "Should we continue pursuing them?"

"The lower realm of the underworld has just been in turmoil. The rebellious ghosts and gods still need to be dealt with, and the large group of celestial ghosts also need to be guarded against. You and I, along with Fellow Daoist Huang Yun and the others, should return to the lower realm to stabilize the situation first."

King Yama said, "Bian Cheng, your true form is unharmed and you're in the best condition. Why don't you go after them and see if there's anything else that needs your help?"

King Biancheng nodded slightly and flew away.

………………

At this very moment, in the first level of the underworld, four Yama Kings and four golden beams of light are still locked in a fierce battle.

Within each of these four golden rays, there was a faint old monk, chanting incantations and manifesting various gods, Buddhas, dragons, precious trees, and jewels, as well as all sorts of wondrous methods, which he could readily conjure up.

Their true forms are like the Buddha who attained enlightenment at Mount Miaogao, possessing profound Vajra meditation, with boundless power that is difficult to shake.

The great supernatural powers wielded by these four old monks represent the four wish-fulfilling feet.

The Four Perfections, also known as the Four Divine Powers, originally referred to four types of meditative states. It is said that by cultivating these four, one can develop supernatural powers as desired.

First, "desire to be fulfilled" refers to the increased desire for the desired results in spiritual practice.

Second, mindfulness of righteousness means being single-minded and abiding in right principle.

Third, advancing with ease means advancing steadily and continuously without interruption.

Fourth, wisdom is the foundation of all things, meaning that true enlightenment is free from delusion, and the mind is not scattered.

The four types of meditation are extremely common practices in Buddhist cultivation, and are considered as basic as the symbolic guidance techniques and the morning sun breathing method of the Xuanmen (Taoist school).

But just as there was once someone in the Xuanmen who practiced breathing exercises only in front of the rising sun, and cultivated a single breath of true qi to achieve the Great Dao, and the purple qi coming from the east proved him to be a Heavenly Venerable.

In Buddhism, there were also four elderly monks who gradually and diligently cultivated themselves, tirelessly exploring the true meaning of meditation from these four basic practices. They had already achieved profound cultivation before the ancient eons ago, thus gaining supernatural powers and receiving unanimous praise from Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

When the Buddha was alive, the four great monks did not often go to the Western Paradise. They occasionally attended Dharma assemblies and seemed to interact as equals.

Nine thousand years ago, when the Buddha took charge of Mount Ling, these four ancient monks voluntarily submitted to him and performed the rites of a disciple, which surprised many cultivators from various holy sites.

The Buddha then invited four ancient monks to protect the Dharma at Vulture Peak, and collectively referred to them as the Four Divine-Foot Bodhisattvas, the Four Great Bodhisattvas of Universal Salvation, and the Four Noble Truths Buddhas.

"Although the Four Noble Truths Buddhas are true Buddhas who have cultivated their power through their own cultivation, and their reputation is better than ours who rely on the blessing of Yama, in terms of actual combat strength, they are only equivalent to the first stage of the three realms of Heavenly Venerable."

King Qin Guang's mind raced with thoughts: "If we hadn't stumbled upon this time of imbalance in the Heavenly Realm and turmoil in the Underworld, we wouldn't have been a threat if they dared to enter the Underworld and fight us."

"The most troublesome thing is... there's a traitor within the underworld."

"If the Ten Kings of Hell and the Lord of the Underworld were of one mind, they could operate the Law of Reincarnation of All Realms. Even in the midst of a great calamity, they would have the ability to protect themselves. But with the traitor now in the picture, even if we can repel this wave of attacks from the Four Noble Truths Buddhas, other forces will surely see the Underworld as a piece of meat and all want to take a piece of it. It's truly hateful!"

According to ancient records from the underworld, during the various great calamities of Taiqing Chiming, there were very few traitors among the high-ranking officials of the underworld.

The main issue is that the calamity is immense, and no one can be certain who will ultimately prevail and emerge victorious.

If the high-ranking officials of the underworld lose their support, they will mostly only have the combat power of an emperor, and even then, an emperor without a holy land to rely on. Rather than getting involved in this mess and becoming a lackey of one side, it is obviously wiser for them to stay in the underworld, consolidate their underworld rules and titles, and unite to protect themselves.

Therefore, since ancient times, even if various forces have placed their people in the underworld, they have never expected to be able to control it. At most, they can only keep an eye on the underworld's movements and make sure it doesn't interfere with them.

Who could have imagined that this time, more than one traitor would emerge from the underworld?

The great battle in the lower underworld was so intense that even they could sense it, naturally causing King Qin Guang and the others to be shocked, angry, and puzzled.

Although the Buddha has taken over Mount Ling, he is, in the end, just a junior who has only recently become a disciple of the Buddha over the last ten thousand years. Among his disciples and grand-disciples, there are probably not even many celestial beings.

If it weren't for the favor of being a direct descendant and the immense karma involved, how could he have such great ability to plant so many loyal subordinates in the underworld?

Just as King Qin Guang was worrying, he suddenly saw another ball of divine light, exuding a strong Buddhist aura, fly out from the fifth level of the underworld.

The light contained a golden body, blurry and indistinct, yet resonated with the thunderous sound of heavenly drums. It was enveloped by an even more wondrous white light, which in an instant connected to several layers of the underworld.

The Buddha of Desire shouted, "Heavenly Drum Buddha, why was there such a tremor in the lower realm just now? Has the situation already been settled?!"

The fake Ksitigarbha escaped here, and the injuries to the golden body have been suppressed by him; at least it's not very noticeable from the outside.

Hearing his ally's question, he couldn't help but hesitate.

The Venerable Kongjie, leading many of the core members of the [Secret Language], formed an alliance with the Venerable Lingshan of Taiqing Chiming, naturally with a grand objective.

If they could seize control of the underworld, it would be very beneficial for their faction to take control of the calamities later on.

Even if we can't take it over quickly, we should at least occupy one side.

The problem is that he is seriously injured, and the Four Noble Truths Buddha does not have the authority of the central divine authority.

Even if everyone joins forces and activates the main god's central core, can they stop that Crimson Lotus Demon Blade?

Suddenly, the void flashed, and the figure of King Equality appeared.

"Heavenly Drum Buddha, that person has already suppressed the City King in the divine blade. Yama King did not escape, and he was probably suppressed as well."

King Pingdeng urgently transmitted his voice, shouting, "In the Underworld, Yama is the Heavenly Venerable. No matter how powerful that divine blade is, after suppressing two Heavenly Venerables, how much of its power will remain..."

Before the telepathic message was even finished, King Pingdeng felt a sudden alarm bell ringing in his heart. He mustered all his magical power and lunged forward, nearly escaping the realm of the underworld.

Thanks to his exceptionally clear mind, knowing that once he left the Underworld, he would lose his Heavenly Venerable power, he stubbornly stopped at the boundary of the first layer of the Underworld to resist the power of the slash from behind.

Even so, he still had a diagonal wound on his back.

The golden body should have golden blood, but this knife mark is a tragically vivid crimson.

bite!!!!

Only after the first cut did the sound of a string breaking echo from afar.

Without hesitation, the fake Ksitigarbha roared, and the central divine light of the main god shone brightly, obscuring the perception of the Yama Kings of the four realms of the underworld.

King Qin Guang and the others thought that the other party was going to launch a surprise attack, so they were on high alert and activated their divine power to protect themselves.

However, after that flash of divine light, it had already swept up the Four Noble Truths Buddha and King Equality and escaped from the underworld.

In the void, long, narrow cracks suddenly appeared, like red lotus flowers blooming.

Guan Luoyang strode forward, his blade dragging as it swept lightly across the void rift, leaving straight trails of karmic fire. He stopped at the edge of the first level of the underworld, gazing into the distance.

"Actually, my sword is almost unable to cut through the protective aura of the main god."

His eyes darkened slightly, and his voice carried on, reaching the surface of the Boundary Sea.

"Senior, why don't you come back and give it another try?"

Within the main divine light, the fake Ksitigarbha suddenly surged with intense light, thunder roared, and he gritted his teeth, not uttering a single word.

The divine light traveled swiftly into the distance, heading straight for the sacred mountain in the west.
