Warhammer 40: Saviors Emerging from the Bottom

In the Greenskins' base camp built in Starport, the Orc military sat on a throne made of various spoils of war, grabbed a delicious Skull from a nearby barrel, and stuffed it into his mouth.

In the open space in front of it, seven fart sprites, holding props made of scrap, were performing a story that had recently become popular among the Greenskins.

"Damn shrimp, I'm going to tear you to pieces!"

"Impossible, die!"

The protagonist, the fart spirit, raised an iron rod he had somehow found and chopped it down on the supporting character wearing scrap armor directly in front of him.

To make the performance seem more realistic, it didn't hold back, so the little devil who was hit by the stick instantly saw stars and staggered to the ground.

The remaining five supporting characters stared in horror at the fallen fart spirit, who could clearly see the large pink bumps that had appeared on its head.

That hit must have hurt a lot!

Fortunately, they didn't have to get hit with sticks. The main character, the fart spirit, stretched out its little green paws and mumbled a bunch of incomprehensible spells.

"Flame, lightning, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh."

After pointing at everyone and making a "whoosh" sound, the protagonist, Farting, planted the iron rod on the ground and looked ahead with an arrogant expression.

However, upon seeing the supporting characters still standing in the same spot, its expression instantly darkened, as this was somewhat different from the script it had practiced.

"Why are you bunch of idiots still standing there?"

"Oh, right, right, we've already been killed by the skinny shrimp."

Suddenly realizing what they were supposed to do, the supporting characters immediately collapsed to the ground, sprawled out in disarray.

Watching the somewhat exaggerated performance before him, Hograk picked up a delicious squiggly bird, tossed it into his mouth, and asked as he chewed, "Where's that evil skinny shrimp?"

"Skinny Shrimp," or "Evil Skinny Shrimp," was the nickname given to Xiao Yi by the Greenskins who had escaped from the front lines.

Because his physique appeared somewhat thin compared to that of ordinary imperial soldiers who were all muscular.

The reason for adding the word "evil" before it is because some Greenskins believe that Xiao Yi is an evil wizard.

He used some kind of witchcraft to hide his strong body in order to lull his opponents into a false sense of security.

Otherwise, there's no way to explain why he was able to shatter the energy shield protecting the Death Iron Can with a single punch.

As Xiao Yi's story spread wider and wider among the Greenskins, Hograk's favorite fart-wisp, in order to please his boss, specially rehearsed this performance.

However, it didn't expect that the other party would ask it where the evil skinny shrimp was.

How would a nobody like him know about this?

But if you don't answer, you might lose the boss's favor and have to compete with those delicious scourts.

Finally, having no other choice, the fart-grubber could only grit his teeth and utter a pointless remark: "He should still be in the shrimp pile."

Hograk was clearly not satisfied with the answer, and stared at the fart demon below with its scarlet eyes for a while.

After confirming that the cowardly creature, who had been so terrified he'd wet himself, wouldn't lie to him, it turned to its orc guards and ordered, "Go, get those clever lads to find him. I want to fight him myself!"

Hograk, who prides himself on being a tactician and enjoys using the wisdom of the Greenskins to defeat his opponents, is essentially a traditional Greenskin who likes to fight tough opponents.

The only thing it felt was worth attacking at this point in the war was the evil skinny shrimp from the story.

Even when it was surrounded by six Death Iron Cans, it still had to expend considerable effort to defeat them, while the Evil Skinny Shrimp could take it down with a mere wave of its hand. This guy's strength was enough to make it take him seriously.

Of course, this is just a rumor circulating among the Greenskins. The process by which Xiao Yi defeated the six Death Iron Pots was by no means as easy as they described.

Without my knowledge, the Greenskins launched an operation called "Finding the Evil Shrimp".

Even because of Xiao Yi's story, the Greenskins' attack intensity decreased significantly, fearing that a human wielding a glowing iron rod who could breathe fire and generate electricity would suddenly appear and turn them all into charcoal.

However, Xiao Yi's reputation only lasted for three days.

Finding everything normal, the Greenskins temporarily ignored the existence of the evil shrimp and launched another fierce attack on the Empire's positions.

Unlike before, the enemies they face have changed.

The Death World Warriors who enjoy using various poisonous gases and chemicals, the Feudal World Knights who are no less capable than the giant green-skinned men in close combat, and the enormous iron cans never seen before—two or three Death Iron Cans working together wouldn't be enough to defeat them.

After the initial discomfort, the greens gradually became excited, finding this much more interesting than their previous long-range shooting duels with shrimp.

In particular, the knights from Vornheim became the dream opponents of every greenskin, attracting a large number of greenskins every time they appeared on the battlefield.

In order to be worthy of fighting these giants wielding greatswords and wearing plate armor, the greenskins would even fight amongst themselves.

This somewhat bizarre scene directly prompted the frontline commander to change the role of the Warnheim Knights.

They were transformed from their original role as melee troops responsible for holding the line and preventing the Orks from breaching the Imperial lines into decoys, specifically designed to lure Orks who wanted to fight big guys.

Although the green-skinned creatures are simple-minded and physically strong, they are not stupid. After being tricked a few times, they gradually figured out the tricks of humans.

Some clever Greenskin commanders would even turn the tables, sending out a group of weaker combatants to pretend they were being tricked, and then launching a surprise attack when the Imperial army surrounded them.

After nearly a week of fighting, neither side had gained an advantage.

During this period, Xiao Yi constantly moved around the positions that could be breached at any time, assisting the defenders and repelling the Greenskins who tried to rush up.

Because of his presence, even when the imperial soldiers were out of ammunition and food, they would not feel utterly hopeless.

Who knows when the War Angel might rush out from behind you and turn the tide.

Nine days after the support fleet arrived at Starport, most of the cargo and soldiers on the transport ships had been unloaded, and they would now return to Bakda.

Xiao Yi was busy fighting on the front lines and could not get away for the time being, and Valerian was in the same situation.

After discussion, everyone agreed to appoint the great sage Friedrich from Mars as the temporary commander of the fleet and lead them back.

Besides Friedrich's high status, which gave him enough authority, there was another important reason for making this decision.

The powerful firepower of the Mars Explorer gives the captains an unprecedented sense of security. As long as he is there, those green-skinned warships blocking the way are no problem at all.
