Marvel: The Alchemist Just Wants a Peaceful Life.

Chapter 88 The Difference Between Babayaga and Chichimora

Sherlock and Zhao Weike had no idea that the director and Nogi had begun plotting against Zhao Weike, and that Sherlock was even implicated as well.

At this moment, Sherlock was still on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with Zhao Weike.

"Old Zhao, tell me the truth, do you actually know ballet?"

As Sherlock toured the theater—which was actually a killer training camp—with Zhao Weike, he asked Zhao Weike some questions out of curiosity.

After all, for Sherlock, this was Zhao Weike's home, a fact Zhao Weike himself had stated. And here, apart from those behind-the-scenes personnel who were no different from ordinary people and never participated in any training, almost everyone was a killer and ballet dancer.

Therefore, Sherlock's suspicions are not entirely unfounded.

But when these words reached Zhao Weike's ears, his blood pressure instantly spiked. Given how familiar Zhao Weike was with Sherlock, he was even certain that Sherlock was currently imagining himself dancing ballet in a ballet tutu!

In fact, Zhao Weike's guess was completely correct. Just imagining the scene makes Sherlock's smile as wide as an AK.

After repeatedly telling himself that Sherlock, that bastard, knew absolutely nothing about the Rom gang and that ignorance is no excuse, Zhao Weike barely managed to suppress his urge to beat Sherlock before explaining things to him.

"No, this is where Chichimora is trained, and I've always been aiming for Babayaga."

???

Upon hearing Zhao Weike's words, three huge question marks appeared above Sherlock's head. Without saying a word, he took out his phone and started searching for what Chichimora was.

However, the search results only made Sherlock more and more puzzled.

"A bird-faced, bird-footed house sprite who can help with chores, but for lazy housewives, she'll give their children nightmares? So, is this place for training babysitters like house-elves?"

Sherlock asked Zhao Weike with some confusion.

"They're bodyguards!"

"?"

After hearing Zhao Weike's answer, Sherlock's question mark became even bigger.

Well, Sherlock is now a little afraid to look at the code names these gangsters have given him. Good grief, they're either some old witch named Baba Yaga or some house-elf named Chichimora.

For some inexplicable reason, it always gives people a sense of beauty that is both uneducated and mysteriously enigmatic.

However, strictly speaking, these so-called bodyguards are not much different from house-elves.

What Sherlock couldn't understand was that in the movie, Anna's character, Chichimora, seemed to have turned into an assassin once again, right?

This thing even has a conversion function?

No, that's not the point. The point is, damn it, mainland hotels actually offer bodyguard services?

For a moment, Sherlock felt that his worldview had been turned upside down.

Seeing Sherlock's bewildered expression, Zhao Weike knew exactly what Sherlock was thinking without even thinking. If he didn't have some self-consciousness, he would have rolled his eyes to the heavens.

"Don't make that face, it's embarrassing. There's no fundamental difference between a bodyguard and an assassin. It's just that one kills and the other protects. The protector can also kill, and the killer can also protect."

After Zhao Weike gave Sherlock a brief explanation, he ignored him completely. The reason was simple: the black woman had appeared in front of them once again.

"Baba Yaga, the chief wants to see you!"

Upon hearing Nogi's words, Sherlock followed Zhao Weike back to the chief's office, but was stopped by the black woman.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Flamel, the chief only wants to see John."

Upon hearing Nogi's words, Sherlock's eyes instantly turned cold. Since entering this place, Sherlock had been yielding to Zhao Weike out of consideration for him, but now it seemed that some people had no idea what humility was.

Fortunately, Zhao Weike knew Sherlock exceptionally well. The instant Sherlock's gaze turned cold, Zhao Weike stepped between Nogi and Sherlock, his eyes filled with apology as he shook his head slightly at Sherlock.

Clearly, Zhao Weike didn't want to make a big fuss about this, after all, this was his former "home".

Out of respect for Zhao Weike, Sherlock took a deep breath before looking in Nogi's direction. With a wave of his hand, the Spear of Longinus, which Sherlock had modified, appeared in his hand.

"Fifteen minutes. If I don't see Joseph and John appear before me at the same time in fifteen minutes, don't blame me for being impolite!"

Sherlock's words were a blatant threat, but Nogi was speechless. The slowly rotating sun beneath the spearhead of Sherlock's Spear of Longinus gave Nogi, who had never witnessed anything extraordinary, a tremendous shock.

Not only Nogi, but even all the young men and women in the theater who had admired Zhao Weike from beginning to end, fell silent the moment they saw the sun-inlaid spear in Sherlock's hand.

The entire theater became so quiet you could hear a pin drop; even breathing was done as gently as possible, for fear of disturbing the slumber of the sun, which lay quietly nestled among the spears.

Nogi took a deep breath before bowing slightly to Sherlock.

"Don't worry, Mr. Flamel, this is John's home. We won't do anything to John. Just as you said, John and Joseph will appear before you in 15 minutes."

During this time, you are welcome to wander around the theater freely; we will find you.

Upon hearing Nogi's words, Sherlock raised an eyebrow slightly, but said nothing more. With a gentle flick of his spear, the spear inlaid with the sun floated quietly behind Sherlock, and Sherlock floated up along with the spear.

Unfortunately, in everyone's eyes, the sun embedded in the spear floating behind Sherlock was right behind Sherlock's head. Combined with Sherlock's floating posture, it gave off a feeling of the great halo on the head of a deity that could only be seen from a church.

Sherlock merely glanced at Nogi before turning and floating away.

This time, however, the "students" who originally just came to see their idols made way for Sherlock. Only after Sherlock's figure disappeared around the corner of the corridor did the entire corridor suddenly become lively.

Seeing this scene, Zhao Weike felt both helpless and grateful.

Unfortunately, this is where one's own 'clan' represents one's origin.

What he is grateful for is that even when facing his powerful "clan," Sherlock, as a friend, still stands firmly by his side and supports him.

Just like when I stood beside Sherlock back then.
