Chapter 69 The Eye-Catching Thor
Thor was extremely excited when his good friends came to visit him from Asgard. He treated his four friends to a very warm welcome, using the first reward he had ever earned in his life to entertain them.
Thor was extremely proud of this, chatting with Jane and Daisy, along with his four friends, reminiscing about the past and talking about his life on Earth.
The four of them, treated to Earth's beer and various snacks by Thor, were also very happy and even marveled at the changes in Thor.
If there's anything that makes them feel awkward, it's probably the rule on Earth that you can't break a cup, which they find hard to get used to.
Of course, after a few rounds of drinks and several dishes, the four of them told Thor about their main purpose in coming to see him.
Stop Loki!
Thor was once again deceived by Loki. Odin, the king of the gods, was not dead, but merely asleep. During Odin's slumber, Loki intended to control the Bifrost to directly destroy Jotunheim, the kingdom of the frost giants.
The Asgardian F4 couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to call Thor back to stop Loki.
However, after careful consideration, Thor rejected the proposal from the Asgardian F4. The reason was simple: Odin had sealed his divine power, and he could no longer lift his hammer; he was just a relatively strong ordinary person.
Thor believed he had lost his title as the prince of Asgard, and was no longer even a warrior, and that even if he went back, he would not be able to stop Loki.
This even led to a minor argument between Asgard F4 and Thor.
Just as the group of four was about to return to find another way, the Rainbow Bridge descended once more, and the Destroyer armor that Sherlock had been longing for emerged from the Rainbow Bridge.
When Sherlock saw the Destroyer emerge from the Rainbow Bridge atop the clock tower, he nearly drooled. Without a moment's hesitation, he and Doro immediately moved to a new position.
Unlike Sherlock's envious expression, the Asgardian F4 looked solemn. While Odin was asleep, Odin's armor appeared on Earth, and the only explanation was that Loki had used the armor.
As for the purpose, it goes without saying: to assassinate Thor!
The fact that the Destroyer armor began causing widespread destruction as soon as it appeared confirmed this, with the destructive beams shooting out from inside the armor spraying everywhere as if they were free.
For both emotional and rational reasons, Asgard F4 couldn't just watch the Destroyer wreak havoc, so Asgard F4 charged in directly, while Thor cooperated with Asgard F4 to evacuate the crowd as much as possible.
Hogan went up, and Hogan was instantly killed.
Vandal went up, and Vandal was instantly killed.
Sif went up, and Sif was instantly killed.
The Japanese guy went up, and he got instantly killed.
Even though the four of them tried their best, they could only delay the enemy for a very short time. This made Sherlock, who was hiding on the side, drool with envy. As expected of Odin's personal armor, it had such power even when controlled remotely. One can imagine how powerful this armor was.
Seeing that his friends were unable to stop the Destroyer, Thor stepped forward at this moment.
Thor, now a mortal, reminisced about his days on Earth and, with a pained expression, pleaded with Loki on the other side to kill him and stop creating unnecessary bloodshed.
Loki, in turn, granted Thor's wish and punched him.
With just one punch, Thor was sent flying, crashing into a house before disappearing into the dust.
Seeing that Thor had stopped moving, Loki planned to control the Destroyer and leave.
But the next second, dark clouds filled the sky, and countless bolts of lightning rolled within them. In the distant S.H.I.E.L.D. camp, Mjolnir seemed to sense Thor's change, or rather, Thor's sacrifice made Mjolnir acknowledge Thor once again.
Without the slightest hesitation, Meowth Hammer soared into the sky, flying towards Thor's direction.
In just a few breaths, the Meow Hammer flew into the dust right under the Destroyer's nose, so fast that even the Destroyer couldn't stop it.
As the Mjolnir flew into the smoke and dust, the next second, lightning bolts from the sky suddenly descended. The lightning bolts, as thick as water tanks, crashed into the smoke and dust like swimming dragons. As the lightning fell, the smoke and dust were blown away, and Thor regained his divine power.
Has Thor returned to his divine...status?
When Sherlock, hiding in the shadows, saw Thor floating in the sky with his Mjolnir back in control, he almost choked on his own saliva.
Good heavens, Thor floating in the sky at this moment is an extremely irritating sight.
Not only did Sherlock turn the Meowth Hammer into a pink and tender bird-head hammer, but why does Thor also look pink and tender after transforming into the God of Thunder?
At this moment, Thor, who should have been wearing his iconic Thor armor, was floating in mid-air, but for some reason, he was wearing a pink long dress armor instead.
The overall design is somewhat similar to the skirt armor of Saber Artoria, but at least Saber's is blue with metallic colors, so why is Thor's pink with white in a cake-like color scheme?
Pink is one thing, but the most crucial question is, why are there cute little strawberries and teddy bears printed on the skirt and armor?
The pink color scheme and clothing, resembling a small cake, combined with Thor's large beard and his hair that had somehow turned into pigtails, plus the two hairy legs that were vaguely visible when he was floating in mid-air, made it an extremely irritating sight.
Most importantly, after Thor saw his transformation, he was stunned for a while, and then he actually showed a look of surprise and joy, as if he was quite satisfied with his new look?
Sherlock, hiding in the shadows, almost threw up his dinner from the night before! He even instinctively covered Doro's eyes, thinking that such filth shouldn't be seen by a cute little Doro.
Sherlock wasn't the only one with this reaction; even the Destroyer armor, which witnessed Thor's transformation from the ground, had a rather cringe-worthy expression.
Sherlock swore that the Destroyer armor's metallic face had literally squeezed out an expression of utter disgust through the changes and distortions of the metal. One can only imagine how twisted Loki's expression must have been when he saw Thor in this state, hiding in Asgard.
Just as Sherlock had predicted, Loki, who was far away in Asgard controlling the Destroyer armor, reacted with disdain upon seeing Thor's new look.
Utterly disgusted.
He even felt that his decision to send the Destroyer armor to assassinate Thor was absolutely correct.
Seriously, if this guy with the pink bird-head hammer, wearing a dress that looks like a small cake, a big beard, and pigtails really became the king of Asgard, Asgard would probably never be able to hold its head up in the universe for the rest of its life!
