FATE: Target of Grand Master

Chapter 78 The Stalker

None of the Servants present had seen Morgan in this Holy Grail War, and some were unaware that Morgan was Xia Yan's Servant. So, upon seeing Morgan's face, the previously gentle Artoria immediately shielded Shirou behind her, donned her battle armor, and warily asked Morgan, "Morgan le Fay, what are you doing here?"

Morgan, who was originally preparing to dismantle the Greater Grail, saw Artoria assume a fighting stance and said disdainfully, "Is this Artoria also from the Boar Clan? Doesn't she ever think before she acts?"

"What did you say?!"

Faced with Morgan's taunts, Artoria really had the urge to kill him, but in the end, thanks to Xia Yan and Shirou's explanations and persuasion, the two sides temporarily refrained from fighting.

After informing everyone that he and Morgan were going to dismantle the Greater Grail, the others prepared to witness it together.

Morgan summoned his cross wand and inserted it upside down into the core of the Greater Grail spell. As a faint light began to appear on the surrounding ground, Morgan found the core of the spell.

After a few minutes, the faint light on the ground gradually went out. Without any earth-shattering reaction, the spell of the Greater Grail silently crumbled in Morgan's hands.

An information box marking the location of the teleportation array immediately popped up in front of Xia Yan.

"Everyone, my mission is complete, and I must leave now."

"So suddenly? At least stay at my place for the night before you leave," Shirou said, trying to persuade him to stay.

"Yes, Shirou's cooking is famous far and wide. You'd be missing out if you didn't try it."

Rin also voiced her support from the side.

"Mmm. Shirou's cooking is amazing."

Saber nodded vigorously in agreement.

"We really owe a debt of gratitude to you, Brother Xia Yan, we haven't even had a chance to show our appreciation yet."

Even Medea, who rarely expressed goodwill except for Soichiro Kuzuki, offered a rare word of advice.

Teacher Ge Mu also took the initiative to extend his hand and shake hands firmly with Xia Yan.

"Thank you. Xia Yan, Morgan."

Ilya smiled at the two of them.

Despite being extremely reluctant to leave, Xia Yan had no intention of staying overnight. After saying goodbye to everyone, Xia Yan looked at Cú Chulainn, who was still standing with his arms crossed.

"Master, it's about time you told me about the situation on your end."

After learning about Morgan's strength, Cú Chulainn no longer believed that Xia Yan was simply someone from a parallel world.

Xia Yan didn't hide anything and briefly summarized his situation.

"So, Master, you'll be going to many different worlds and fighting different enemies, right?"

Xia Yan felt that Cú Chulainn's concerns were somewhat off-target, but he still nodded.

"So, Lancer, want to come with me?"

Seeing that Cú Chulainn didn't speak, Xia Yan took the initiative to extend an invitation.

"Of course. I've already boarded your pirate ship, Master, so I'll play along to the end."

Cú Chulainn, suppressing his excitement at the prospect of fighting formidable enemies, accepted the invitation without hesitation.

"I've already told you, this is an aircraft carrier."

Xia Yan turned around and, accompanied by Morgan and Cú Chulainn, headed towards the location of the teleportation array.

The teleportation array appeared in an extremely remote location again, but this time Xia Yan had no mental burden and walked around very leisurely.

"Cú Chulainn, do you know Grimm?"

Morgan suddenly asked a question out of the blue.

"Grim? Who's that?"

Cú Chulainn looked completely bewildered.

"That's all," Morgan said coolly.

"Wait a minute, you only said half of what you meant, it's making me uncomfortable!" Cú Chulainn said, dissatisfied.

"I already said everything's fine, don't go looking for trouble," Morgan said impatiently.

"Master, you be the judge, who's really stirring up trouble?"

Cú Chulainn felt very wronged and sought Xia Yan's opinion.

"Okay, okay. Morgan just confused you with someone else, it's no big deal."

Xia Yan acted as a peacemaker.

Xia Yan wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but he always felt that Cú Chulainn seemed to be intentionally or unintentionally wary of Morgan.

"By the way, Master, I sensed an aura from Morgan that is extremely similar to that of the vile goddess. You'd better be careful, or you might get eaten by her one day," Cú Chulainn whispered in Xia Yan's ear.

Xia Yan glanced at Morgan, and seeing that she didn't react, nodded slightly, thus brushing off Cú Chulainn.

And so, the three of them arrived at the area where the teleportation array was located.

Just as Xia Yan was about to enter the teleportation array, Morgan called out to him.

"Xia Yan, wait a minute."

Xia Yan was somewhat confused.

Cú Chulainn, who had been laughing and joking, also stopped, his eyes sharp as he stared in one direction and shouted, "Come out, you guys who've been following us all this way."

Morgan glanced at Cú Chulainn beside him, somewhat surprised that this careless Celtic warrior had also noticed the trailer.

Xia Yan looked in the direction Cú Chulainn was looking, but there was no movement.

Just as Cú Chulainn was about to throw his crimson spear, a cold and arrogant female voice rang out.

"I never expected to be discovered. It seems that defeating the Gorgon was no accident."

The owner of the voice slowly emerged from the woods. She had beautiful long purple hair, wore a black coat, her hands were hidden in her sleeves, and her feet were sharp blades.

Xia Yan recognized him at a glance because of his distinctive appearance.

One of the Alteregos created by BB, the happy Alterego—Dissolve Lilith.

Although in FGO, Lilith is known as one of the "Four Girlfriends Outside of Shield", in the original FECCC, Lilith appeared as a boss.

The current Master Trial is so similar to the original FE, Xia Yan is not naive enough to think that Lilith is one of his own.

Seeing Xia Yan's wary look, Lilith chuckled softly.

"Don't be so tense, Master. I'm not here to fight, and please ask your two Servants to tone down their killing intent. However, if you insist on fighting, I'm happy to oblige. Don't cry if I absorb you later."

Xia Yan understood that the fact that Lilith could make his two Servants release their killing intent meant that Lilith was very strong, so strong that every step she took forward made the two of them feel threatened by their Master.

However, since the other party said they were not there to fight, Xia Yan naturally did not want to cause any trouble.

After signaling Morgan and Cú Chulainn to suppress their murderous intent, Xia Yan took the initiative to ask, "Miss Lilith, what brings you here?"

Lilith wasn't too surprised that Xia Yan knew her, and said casually, "It's nothing, BB was just worried you'd die here, so she sent me to check on you. Since you're alright, hurry up and get into the teleportation array."

Xia Yan looked suspicious.

Has BB changed her personality?

Impossible! Absolutely impossible!

Looking back now, Xia Yan still thinks that the ridiculously exaggerated trial was all BB's doing. How could she be so kind as to care about him?

But then again, Lilith never showed any hostility from beginning to end. Could it be that she was really instructed by BB to come and observe my situation?

"I have a question..."

Xia Yan tried to get some information out of Lilith, but was ruthlessly rejected.

"Let's just have a chat then..."

"I don't have time."

"It won't take up too much of your time..."

"If you utter another word, I'll kill you."

In response to Lilith's threat, Morgan and Cú Chulainn were the first to react.

"Try dying if you want to."

"Go ahead and try if you dare."

The atmosphere instantly became tense.

"Cough...cough..."

Xia Yan coughed twice, then grabbed Morgan and Cú Chulainn by the hand and pulled them into the teleportation array.

The trial is over, there's no need for conflict now, returning to the safe house is the most important thing.

As the three left, a communication box automatically popped up in front of Lilith.

"He's alright, he's already back at the safe house, so I can come back now, right?"

After receiving permission from the other end of the communication box, Lilith vanished from her spot in a flash.
