FATE: Target of Grand Master

Chapter 246 Celebration or Provocation?

Upon hearing Xia Yan's words, everyone in the living room stopped what they were doing and turned to look at the doorway.

Xia Yan stepped aside, allowing Nero, Nitocris, Serenity Hassan, and Mashu to enter together.

"Yes! They are the four idols of the music maestro!"

Miss Crane immediately recognized the four people, and white steam began to rise from her head; she was only one step away from overload.

Nero entered and glanced around before raising his head to Euryale and saying, "I watched your performance tonight, it was very good. If you don't want to be idols anymore, you can perform at my personal theater."

Nitocris, standing to the side, held her forehead, looking utterly disappointed.

Euryale and Maeve stood up simultaneously, veins bulging on their foreheads: "Are you here to provoke us?"

"I'm sorry, everyone. That's not what His Majesty Nero meant."

The little eggplant standing next to Nero quickly bowed and apologized.

Only the somewhat clueless Nero was still confused, asking with a bewildered look, "I came to express my appreciation for your performance tonight, so why are you all so hostile towards me?"

"Hey, Euryale, this idiot emperor really doesn't seem to be able to distinguish between affection and provocation."

Maeve whispered to Euryale beside her.

Euryale sighed and said to Nero, "We understand what you're trying to say. So, is it the usual barrage of threats?"

Nero tilted his head, puzzled. "Taunting me? Why would I taunt you?"

This naturally clueless question left Euryale completely bewildered.

"Is there anything else you want to say?" Euryale asked.

"That's all. I've finished speaking. Gentlemen, feel honored to have received my praise—Nero Claudius's praise."

Nero closed his eyes, put his hands on his hips, puffed out his chest, and struck a proud pose.

"Even though I know this idiot emperor didn't mean it that way, I'm still furious."

Maeve had already clenched her fists, ready to rush over and punch someone at any moment.

"Feel the same."

Euryale was also nearing her limit of patience.

"Your Majesty, now that we've finished speaking, would you like to sit down and have something to eat?"

Standing to the side, Xia Yan asked with a warm smile.

Connie Tocris glanced at the people at the living room table; everyone except Miss Tsuru was wearing a "don't sit" expression. She quickly waved her hand before Nero could say, "No, no. We'll leave now."

After saying that, he called on Silent Hassan to forcibly drag Nero away.

"I'm so sorry to have caused you all trouble."

The polite little eggplant bowed deeply to everyone and then left, making sure to close the door behind her.

"So, what exactly are they here for?"

The crowd seemed to be watching a farcical performance.

The next day, Xia Yan sat in front of the computer and looked at the information of the four people who had come uninvited the night before.

The final performance will be a concert in a stadium that can hold 8 people. Unlike the previous preparations, this time we will return to the basic skills of idols – singing and dancing.

Xia Yan rented a huge dance studio for Yuri and Ellie, and hired vocal and dance teachers at a high price to give the three of them special training.

Having already trained together in the opera, the three of them had developed excellent chemistry, and the training went much more smoothly than expected.

So, Xia Yan took a rare break and returned to the villa, wanting to discuss with Miss He the plan to make another new spirit outfit for Euryale.

Xia Yan gently knocked on the door and found that Miss He's studio door was ajar, so he quietly went inside.

Miss Tsuru was fast asleep on her worktable. Her irregular sleep schedule and the enormous magical energy consumed while making the spirit clothes had made her look quite unwell.

Xia Yan didn't wake Miss He, but instead idly looked at the photos on the wall.

Most of the photos inside are of costumes made by Ms. He. Besides those made for Euryale and Maeve, there are also many costumes that look very familiar. The costumes of the idols that Xia Yan and the others have fought against also appear in the photos.

Among these photos of spirit clothes, one photo stands out as particularly unusual: a group photo of four people.

"Ah, O-P, what brings you here?"

Miss Crane looked up and wiped her drool.

"I'm sorry, Miss Klein, did I disturb you? If you'd like to rest a bit more, I can talk to you later."

Miss He shook her head, indicating that it was alright.

"Op, you rarely come to my studio, so what you want to talk to me about this time must be very important."

Xia Yan affirmed, "Yes. To be honest, I still feel a little embarrassed. You've already worked so hard, yet I still want you to make a new spirit garment for Euryale."

"Making spirit costumes is my job. You deserve a lot of credit for making us all the way to the finals. I haven't been able to help much except for making spirit costumes, so please stop saying things like it's too much trouble."

Since things had come to this point, Xia Yan no longer stood on ceremony and described the style of the spirit garment he wanted to Miss He.

"I understand. Don't worry, I will definitely finish making this spirit garment before the finals."

Having received Miss He's promise, Xia Yan finally had some free time.

Watching the band's performance on TV, Xia Yan sighed, "I wish I could play a musical instrument too."

"Then go learn it," Morgan, who had been by Xia Yan's side, replied.

"But I only have a few days of free time, and no crash course dares to accept me."

"How will you know if you don't try? If it really doesn't work, I can even help you with magic. As long as you're willing to learn."

Encouraged by Morgan, Xia Yan found a senior guitar teacher and started learning from the most basic hand positions.

After finishing his studies each day, Xia Yan would continue practicing. With Morgan's assistance in magic, Xia Yan's fingers had developed sufficient muscle memory, making his learning efficiency far exceed that of ordinary people.

A few days later, Xia Yan was able to create an original piece at will.

When Euryale returned from rehearsal, she heard Xia Yan playing guitar and curiously peeked out, pressing her head against the door of Xia Yan's bedroom.

"I'm not so good at eavesdropping as to need to."

Xia Yan had obviously spotted her.

"hey-hey."

Euryale walked in with a smile, her hands behind her back.

"How did today's rehearsal go?"

"Yes, everything went smoothly. We all agree that we've reached a level where we can perform."

"That's good. This was just an impromptu performance, nothing special, so please don't listen too closely, it's embarrassing."

"Hehe. Xia Yan, you're embarrassed too?" Euryale covered her mouth and chuckled. "But I think this part is really good. Skill level doesn't matter, as long as it sounds good."
