Those who reincarnate must die.

Chapter 889 The Goddess's Morning Grumpiness

When the three sacred artifacts merged, they emitted a dazzling light that blinded even the reincarnators present.

Only Zhang Lang was unaffected. He instinctively squinted when he encountered the bright light, but still managed to see a little of the divine presence.

In Zhang Lang's view, the three sacred artifacts released surging energy after merging. The statue served as the energy source, the mechanical sphere was responsible for opening up space, and the crown, which had not reacted much, seemed to have had some seal broken by the other two sacred artifacts, releasing a powerful force.

This power contains a strong force of rules, which has transcended ordinary living beings, or to use another word that is more appropriate—authority!

To control the rules, to change the world, is proof of being a god!

Up to this point, Zhang Lang's reverence for the deity had reached its peak, but then he witnessed a scene that left everyone speechless.

As the energy of the three sacred artifacts reached its peak, a perfectly circular spatial gate opened, as if a circular hole had been created in space. Then, a slender, delicate hand slowly reached out from within, explored the outside of the hole for a few moments, and then pressed down on the fused three sacred artifacts, absorbing all the energy released from them.

Rationally, Zhang Lang believed that this was the deity reclaiming the power left in the three sacred artifacts in order to appear in its complete form. But emotionally... this whole sequence of actions looked more like someone grumpy in the morning pressing an alarm clock.

The following scene further confirmed Zhang Lang's guess.

The hand pulled the extinguished sacred artifact back into the spatial rift, and then a head popped out. Although the features were exquisite and beautiful, bearing a seven or eight-tenths resemblance to the statues in the temple, the messy hair, slightly furrowed brows, and half-open eyes clearly indicated that she was a female college student who had been woken up by an alarm clock...

The "female college student" rubbed her eyes, barely opening them. She glanced at the crowd around her, who were too blinded by the bright light to look directly at her, and showed a moment of confusion. Then, she suddenly realized what was happening and hurriedly retreated back into the cave. A few seconds later, she changed into exquisite makeup, picked up the crystal ball and greatsword that represented her identity, and walked out of the portal. After coming out, she didn't forget to strike a pose similar to the statue opposite her. Once everything was ready, she nodded to herself for encouragement before turning off the bright light.

In the eyes of others, the goddess is noble and holy, possesses boundless magic power, and is inviolable in her majesty.

In Zhang Lang's eyes, the reliability of this goddess was highly questionable...

However, seeing that Zeus had indeed been resurrected, Zhang Lang put aside his doubts. Regardless of this supreme goddess's personality, at least her abilities had stood the test of time.

While others rejoiced at Zeus's resurrection, Zhang Lang walked toward the goddess.

"What are you doing?" The high priest blocked Zhang Lang's path. "The Supreme Goddess is sacred and inviolable. Don't get too close!"

Zhang Lang glanced at the High Priestess: "I have something to say to her."

"You must address the Supreme Goddess as 'Her'!" the High Priest roared. "Just tell me what you have to say, and I'll relay it to the Goddess!"

Zhang Lang looked at the goddess opposite him with a puzzled expression: "Is it really necessary to be this close?"

"No!" the high priest declared firmly. "I am the high priest of the Supreme Church, the goddess's representative on earth. Communication with the goddess requires my approval!"

"There's no need to stop him..." Just as the high priest was speaking righteously, the supreme goddess suddenly said, "Let him come over."

"But..." The high priest still intended to insist, but Zhang Lang grabbed him by the back of the neck and threw him away, walking straight to the Supreme Goddess.

"You don't belong to this world?" The goddess was the first to point out the origins of the reincarnators. "Your power is not of the same origin as this world."

Zhang Lang nodded: "We come from a similar place to those so-called extraterrestrial demons. The difference is that they are a different race, while we are of the same race as you. You can think of us as heroes who have come to fight against the different races and help you save this world."

"And I, for the sake of argument, can be considered a representative of these heroes."

The goddess nodded and smiled, exuding maturity and nobility. If Zhang Lang hadn't witnessed her morning grumpiness, he would have almost believed it.

"Then you awakened the original body, surely not just to resurrect one person?"

Zhang Lang nodded and gestured in a direction: "There are currently three alien races in the capital, and they possess multiple weapons capable of instantly destroying the world. I can kill them, but I'm not confident I can stop them from activating their weapons, so I need your help."

The goddess smiled slightly: "That doesn't sound like you're praying to God at all."

"Your behavior just now doesn't seem like that of a god who should be grumpy when he wakes up."

Zhang Lang's words made the goddess pause slightly. She coughed lightly to ease the awkwardness: "Since it's all for the sake of this world, I'll help you with this favor."

With that, she raised her hand: "Let's go."

"Set off? How do we get there?" Zhang Lang wondered if the goddess had some kind of mount.

"Instant teleportation, of course." The goddess said matter-of-factly, "As a deity of this world, I can reach any corner of the world at any time!"

"Want a ride?"

"I'm afraid you can't carry it," Zhang Lang scoffed. "I can go myself; it'll be a piece of cake. But I must warn you, those alien races are very perceptive. If they sense danger, they might fight to the death!"

"Trust me," the goddess smiled slightly, "I understand them far better than you do."

Having said that, the goddess was about to cast a spell when the high priest, who had been thrown out, finally ran back and slid to the goddess's feet: "Great and supreme goddess, I am your most loyal servant. Wherever you go, please take me with you to serve you."

The goddess glanced at him, sighed, and said, "Stand beside me."

With that, she snapped her fingers, and the goddess and the high priest vanished instantly.

Zhang Lang greeted the others, then left the temple, took to the air, and after traveling thousands of kilometers, returned to the vicinity of the imperial city.

The Supreme Goddess and the High Priest had arrived. Zhang Lang sensed their location from afar and landed precisely beside them.

"Wow, that's fast!" the goddess exclaimed, praising Zhang Lang's speed.

"Is there any way?" Zhang Lang looked at the imperial city not far away. "There are hundreds of alien races inside, and according to intelligence, there are no fewer than six world-destroying weapons."

"They're all experts." The Supreme Goddess nodded slightly. "I sensed powerful energy emanating from them. You said before that you could kill them all?"

"As long as you have a way to prevent them from activating those world-destroying weapons," Zhang Lang said, stretching his arms. "Leave the killing to me."
