Those who reincarnate must die.

Chapter 107 The Dock Fight

Task Name: Eliminate Dissidents

Weapon level: Level 2

Main Quest: Following the instructions of the altar, kill the seven marked special individuals in succession within a specific timeframe! Current Progress (4/7)

Mission Rewards: Killing the altar of the first Specialist grants 50 points to all members; killing the second Specialist grants 100 points; killing the third grants 150 points, and so on... Each Reincarnator who participates in the kill will receive additional points, depending on the circumstances, with a minimum of 10 points and a maximum of the equivalent points of the Specialist killed.

Mission Mode: Peaceful Competition. There are four altars participating in this mission. Only altars that successfully kill the target will earn points. Reincarnators who attack other altars will be punished according to the severity of the offense. Killing a Reincarnator at another altar will deduct 300 points for each kill. Once all points are deducted, a negative score will be displayed, which must be earned back to repay the debt.

Note: Unless a native resident (humanoid intelligent being) other than the target is hostile to the reincarnator or the reincarnator's companion, the reincarnator shall not intentionally attack native residents other than the target. Violation will result in point deductions depending on the severity of the offense.

………………

Having read the mission description, Zhang Lang nodded. "I see...no wonder they were so shocked when I mentioned the altar. For this mission, the Reincarnators are forbidden from attacking each other..."

"I'll talk..." At this moment, the hat-wearing man he was grabbing pleaded, "Who exactly are you...? If you're a reincarnator, killing me will deduct even more points! Several missions wouldn't be enough to make up for it!"

"I can release you if you want..." Zhang Lang nodded: "How many companions do you have?"

The man in the hat paused for a moment, then said, "There are four more people..."

What abilities do they all possess?

The man in the hat fell silent, and Zhang Lang simply twisted and broke one of his legs!

"Ah...stop hitting me, I'll talk...I'll talk..."

After listening to the man in the hat's report, Zhang Lang nodded: "Contact your captain; I want to speak with him!"

The man in the hat had no other choice at the moment, so he quickly contacted his teammates using his badge.

"Kam?" came the captain's voice from the other end. "The badge shows your mission is complete, but we can't get in touch with Del. What happened?"

"Captain, we've been attacked by another Reincarnator... Del is dead..."

"What?" a shocked voice came from the other end. "Which altar is it? Aren't they afraid of losing points?"

"Of course I'm scared!" Zhang Lang snatched the badge and replied, "Captain, let me clarify first, that bald guy's death was an accident, and I've already lost quite a few points because of it... The reason I approached your men is to have a talk with you!"

"Which altar are you from? What do you want to talk about?" came a somewhat irritable voice from the other end.

"I just checked your team's mission!" Zhang Lang said, trying to deceive them. "Our mission is the same, but according to the information I have so far, some people's missions might be different from ours!"

"What did you say?" The voice on the other end seemed very interested in the topic.

"So, I want to talk to you face to face!" Zhang Lang said. "Get to the dock within two hours! Don't try any tricks!"

"Okay!" the leader on the other end said, "but I need to confirm that Cam is alive the entire time!"

"That's no problem!" Zhang Lang said in a deep voice, "I'll keep the badge open, but your companion is seriously injured. I'm not sure how long he'll stay conscious or how long he'll live! I don't want to lose another 300 points, so please speed things up!"

"Understood!" the other party readily agreed.

After finishing the conversation, Zhang Lang picked up Kam and ran towards the dock.

After speaking with Zhang Lang, Kam's captain, a stocky middle-aged man with short blond hair, wrapped his badge in a cotton cloth for soundproofing and whispered to his three subordinates beside him, "What do you think?"

"Cam must be saved!"

A tall man with calloused knuckles said in a deep voice.

"This mission is best suited for assassination. Cam possesses the most outstanding assassination skills. Without him, we definitely can't compete with the other three altars!"

"I agree to go too!" suggested a young girl with short hair.

"There are mission restrictions; Reincarnators can't fight each other. Let's see what he has to say!"

"That's not necessarily true!"

A middle-aged woman in the group, wearing glasses and with her hair in a bun, voiced her objection:

"If what he said is true, and someone's mission is different from ours, then he might also have a different mission than us. Maybe even if he kills a Reincarnator, he won't lose points. Del's death is proof of that! But if what he said is false, and there's no such thing as different missions, then he simply wants to lure us there. What's his purpose then? He clearly doesn't dare to kill us, but he wants to lure us there? It's a very contradictory situation!"

"I don't think that's very likely!" The short-haired girl shook her head. "We can't kill him, but he can kill us? That's not fair, it doesn't conform to the principles of the altar's mission issuance!"

"That makes sense." The captain pondered for a moment, "We still have to go! And we have to get there as soon as possible! Two hours... We need to get there within an hour, without giving them time to prepare!"

The team set off immediately, braving the wind and snow to reach the dock from their hiding place in the northern district. An hour was really not enough, but the reincarnators had their own methods.

The short-haired girl got on a motorcycle, the bespectacled woman sat on the back, while the captain and the tall, burly man stood on two planks tied to the back of the motorcycle with ropes, and were pulled along like sleds!

And so, a motorcycle carrying four people began its journey toward the dock!

This obviously over-the-top mode of transportation was naturally a thousand-point reward from the altar, complete with special effects. Even in a blizzard, it could travel steadily. However, carrying four people slowed it down considerably, and it took more than forty minutes to reach the dock...

"That's fast enough!" The captain glanced at the empty dock. "The bar's in the North District too; they shouldn't be here any faster than us! Moira! Check the surroundings!"

The woman with glasses stepped out, touched her glasses a couple of times, and then looked around. In her vision, the scenery of the dock was veiled by a blue-gray filter…

"Nobody's here!" Moira, the woman with glasses, asserted. "It seems they might not have arrived yet!"

"Excellent!" The captain's lips curled into a smile. "We've secured the position, and then..." He was halfway through his sentence when a groan suddenly came from his badge: "Captain..."

It was Cam's voice! His communication with Cam hadn't been cut off, though the guy had gone silent halfway through. But since the communication was still going, it meant he was still alive. Now, he seemed to have woken up!

"Cam? Where are you?"

"I don't know either. He knocked me unconscious, and I just woke up. I feel completely weak..."

Kam's voice was weak and feeble: "But I was tied up in a very dark and narrow place. I couldn't see anything, the ground was shaking slightly, and there was the sound of water... it sounded like a boat!"

"The ship?" The captain was taken aback. "You've already arrived at the dock? We're here too, where are you?"

"I don't know... I just woke up..."

The captain turned to the woman with glasses: "Moira, check these ships!"

There were only three ships docked at the pier. Moira checked them one by one and finally found something on the third ship!
