"Li Xiao, what's your name? And why are you serving here!"

Li Xiao pulled a corpse, a man wielding a large sword and wearing a golden horse, onto his chest. He had punched the neck repeatedly, afraid that ruining the bulletproof vest would make it unsellable.

"My name is Knok. When you're so poor you can't afford the utilities and rent, and even the insurance company refuses to pay your discharge pay, you'll know what to do." The big white man, Knok, coughed and calmly looked away. "It's not my fault. I just want to live a good life, and I happen to have this job that allows me to survive. It's that simple."

"But you've protected a den of iniquity," Li Xiao's eyes turned cold. "You didn't know these people were going to have their organs harvested while they were still alive? Don't tell me they came here for sightseeing! I heard everything clearly!"

"That has nothing to do with me!" Knox's voice suddenly rose, his face flushed with emotion. "I'll let them go, but who's going to save me? I'm a former Navy SEAL, I even have trouble getting food. Am I supposed to rob the federal government? If I sympathize with them, who will sympathize with me? If I don't do it, plenty of others will. I have no choice!"

"That's no excuse for you to be an accomplice to an executioner!" Li Xiao grabbed the necklace around Nok's neck and ripped it off in Nok's horrified gaze. "Let me see whose photo is hidden inside!"

"It's Director Pete of the Seattle Immigration Bureau." Nock seemed to have aged several years in an instant, his voice filled with a resigned sense of despair. "He's a good man, at least to me. If we don't arrest these people, someone else will. That's how it is."

Towards the end, Nock seemed to begin self-hypnosis, his voice rambling like he was reciting cult texts.

Li Xiao felt as if he had been struck hard by a hammer. He would rather hear that it was the work of some gang or cult than hear that people from the federal government had committed such inhumane acts.

A glimpse into the whole picture reveals that even a lowly immigration officer can be involved in human trafficking. The others described by Knok must be from larger forces or departments, such as the FBI or ICE, which have frequent access to the violent forces at the grassroots level. These high-ranking American officials may appear to be well-dressed politicians, but the extent of their shady dealings behind the scenes is completely unknown.

Li Xiao wouldn't gamble on how much conscience a country that legalizes corruption could possibly have.

Li Xiao blew his nose. He had just been dodging gunfire and had gotten so much dust in his mouth that his nose was really sore. He glanced at Nok and saw him looking completely calm, as if he had successfully brainwashed himself.

Li Xiao was immediately annoyed. A bunch of wicked lackeys, shameless enough to actually persuade him, and this guy probably even thinks he did nothing wrong.

Before Li Xiao could speak, Constantine had already rushed out from his hiding place on the steps.

Li Xiao was used to it, and his attention never left Zha Kang. He naturally knew that Zha Kang had not been killed by random gunfire, but had only been bitten by a bullet.

Constantine grabbed Nok's vest and punched him twice in the nose, causing the latter to bleed profusely.

Constantine shouted angrily, and still not satisfied, he picked up his pistol and shot Nock in the thigh.

Blood splattered as Nok's thigh was pierced through! A bloody gash, as thick as a finger, appeared in the middle of his thigh.

Nock gasped, the blankness and emptiness on his face vanishing instantly, replaced by guilt in his eyes. He then silently lowered his head, staring blankly at the bloody gash on his thigh.

Li Xiao let out a soft breath. Although Zha Kang was a bit cunning and sly in small matters, he was not wrong in terms of righteousness. However, it is true that anyone with empathy would feel unbearable seeing the scene of being eaten alive.

Li Xiao suppressed the fire in his heart, then questioned, "Do you know where Pete lives? And who else is involved? I hope you will cooperate and tell the truth."

Constantine sneered, "Then I'll kill your whole family, and after that I'll repent. God will forgive me, right? And let me tell you, I'm a redneck too! Rednecks ate your bread! Damn it!"

Nock's face flushed red and then turned pale. His lips twitched for a long time, but he couldn't utter a single fart. He was horrified to discover that he couldn't refute what Constantine had said.

Li Xiao glanced at Zha Kang with admiration. This guy really had a wild imagination, knowing how to use magic to defeat magic.

Staring coldly at Nok, Li Xiao was too lazy to argue with him about biblical nonsense. He only knew that if he didn't get rid of Pete, more innocent people would fall victim to his cruelty.

Whether the mission is completed or not is another matter. Since he has encountered these man-eating demons, every single one of them must be brought to justice. This has nothing to do with an overflowing sense of justice; it is simply the most basic bottom line of being a human being.
