Marvel: Starting with the forced creation of villainous characters
Chapter 45: Sharon Carter's Return.
Just as Mark was feeling a little uneasy, there was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in," Mark said.
A small head peeked in from outside the door, and Mindy asked eagerly, "Mark, has the address for today's crime-fighting operation been finalized?"
"It's confirmed. It's a small gang that specializes in smuggling women and trafficking people. Your mission today is to wipe out this gang and save those innocent women," Mark said while organizing the documents.
"Yay! That's great!" Mindy jumped up with joy.
Mark shook his head helplessly at the sight, thinking to himself, "I actually felt guilty just now? Isn't this a good thing?"
Mindy and her team became more efficient at fighting crime, and he completed his deployment, with Hammerhead gaining more territory. Isn't this a win-win-win situation?
No, it should be a win-win-win-win situation.
The ordinary people in Hell's Kitchen can avoid the oppression of one more gang.
at the same time.
Rainy night, lightning and thunder, midnight spire.
A tall, muscular man with muscles like a steel sculpture, dressed in a black bat-shaped suit, stood atop the tower, looking down at the city below.
"Success?" the bat-man muttered to himself in a hoarse voice.
"But why is this world so peaceful? And..."
The bat-man looked at the bustling street in the distance; the world didn't seem to be eroded by shadows at all.
He suspected he had come to the wrong world, but being wrong meant failure, because he no longer had the ability to go back or to the right world.
Still yearning for that hope, the bat-man leaped from the top of the tower, and the cloak behind him automatically unfolded into a hang glider.
A dark shadow swept across the sky above Hell's Kitchen, and Batman landed on the roof of a not-too-tall apartment building.
A short while later, the bat-like man in strange clothes disappeared, and in his place, a middle-aged man in a suit who looked very wealthy walked out of the building and then disappeared into the rain.
…………
Sharon Carter is back, but instead of living with Mark and the others, she moved next door to them.
Two weeks later, Mark met Sharon Carter again.
Skye poured Sharon Carter a drink and asked solicitously, "So you're the one who saved that playboy?"
"Yes, I ate sand for three whole days in that desert before I finally found him in a valley," Sharon Carter complained softly.
For a true Union Jack, the Middle East is not a good place, after all, it is known as the graveyard of empires.
Indeed, that was the case. The place was covered in yellow sand and barren hills, making it quite troublesome to find someone in such a complex terrain.
It's also thanks to her being a reincarnated person that she has some information that others don't know. If it were a normal person, they probably wouldn't have been able to find her for three months, let alone three.
"That must have been quite tough," Skye quickly agreed.
Skye then complimented Sharon Carter.
Mark watched this scene with amusement. He knew why Skye was being so attentive, but he didn't stop her.
If Sharon Carter were still just a lowly Level 3 or Level 7 agent like in the movies, he definitely wouldn't have allowed Skye to join S.H.I.E.L.D.
But now Sharon Carter is a Level 9 agent. Within S.H.I.E.L.D., there are only two people with higher rank and authority than her. Even Deputy Director Hill can only be considered her equal.
With such a powerful figure at S.H.I.E.L.D., Mark allowed Skye to act recklessly.
After all, everyone has their own obsessions. Skye's obsession is to find her parents. She doesn't remember the plot of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., she only knows that Skye's mother seems to be an Inhuman and her father is a psychopath, and that both of them seem to be villains.
Mark, who couldn't offer any real help, decided to support Skye joining S.H.I.E.L.D. so that Skye could use S.H.I.E.L.D.'s power to find her parents.
Feeling the atmosphere was sufficiently built, Skye finally revealed her true intentions, asking obsequiously, "Sister Carter, what do you think about me joining your... what bureau?"
After a moment's thought, Sharon Carter nodded and said, "That's possible, but you'll have to study at the Special Agents Academy for a year before you can officially join S.H.I.E.L.D."
In fact, she was more than happy for Skye to join S.H.I.E.L.D. After all, Skye would be Mark's right-hand woman in the future. If someone of that caliber joined S.H.I.E.L.D., then if Mark really wanted to target S.H.I.E.L.D. in the future, he would have to consider Skye's feelings.
As an agent, Sharon Carter dared not overestimate her importance in Mark's eyes, so she could only try her best to win some allies for S.H.I.E.L.D.
Originally, she wanted to bring Mark's friends into S.H.I.E.L.D., but unfortunately, apart from Skye, the others didn't seem very interested in S.H.I.E.L.D.
Skye, the only one interested in S.H.I.E.L.D., also had ulterior motives.
Skye was a little reluctant to hear that she would have to go to school again, but she reluctantly nodded in order to join S.H.I.E.L.D.
Seeing this, Sharon Carter quickly comforted Skye, fearing that Skye might not go to S.H.I.E.L.D. because of this.
Next, Sharon Carter subtly probed what Mark had been up to lately.
Since Mark had warned Skye in advance, Skye, who was relatively tight-lipped, did not reveal any flaws.
Sharon Carter, having gotten nothing out of him, naturally assumed that Mark hadn't left the house much in the past two weeks.
Sharon Carter got nervous again.
Becoming withdrawn is also a step towards turning to the dark side, and Sharon Carter feels she should pay more attention to Mark's mental health.
"Mark, are you really not going to school? If you don't want to go to elementary school, I can pull some strings to get you into Manhattan High School," Sharon Carter said very seriously.
Manhattan High School is one of the best high schools in all of New York City, or perhaps the best.
With her current connections and power, getting Mark into high school wouldn't be difficult for her.
But this matter mainly depends on Mark's personal wishes. She knew that Mark didn't want to get involved with S.H.I.E.L.D., so he didn't mention the Secret Service Academy this time.
"Let's wait a little longer." Mark decided to postpone going to school again.
He's currently in a period of rapid growth, changing almost every month, and Mark wants to wait until he's more like a teenager before going to high school.
Sharon Carter, still unwilling to give up, wanted to persuade Mark again, just then, the news suddenly came on TV.
And the news was about Obadiah adopting Emma.
Sharon Carter had long been traumatized by the name Emma, after all, this born bad seed was a ticking time bomb in the family.
Sharon Carter couldn't care less about persuading Mark to go to school at that moment; she nervously looked at the television and then watched intently.
After the news broadcast ended, Sharon Carter turned to Mark, whose face looked completely innocent, and asked with a hint of hope, "The Emma they talked about on the news, she's not the Emma I'm thinking of, is she?"
