What should I do if my pet loves watching anime?

"This Ubo is exceptionally well-bred," Gu Beiri said sincerely to Elder Hong.

With a well-balanced skill set and clear combat awareness, especially in the use of terrain and its own talents, it far surpasses ordinary wild Pokémon.

"This is a junior personally trained by the old man, how could he be anything but good?"

Old Hong chuckled, seemingly unconcerned about Wu Bo's defeat, but rather valuing Gu Bei Ri and Rong Rong Yang's performance in adversity.

He clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention, and then looked at the emerald green figure that had been quietly waiting to the side, its fighting spirit already simmering.

"Alright, the lambs' warm-up match is over. Next..."

Old Hong's gaze fell on the Flying Mantis, with a hint of scrutiny.

"Mantis, it's your turn."

The opponent is still Upo, but a different one.

In the shallow water, another small but more agile and sharp-eyed pufferfish heard the sound and swam out, climbed ashore, and stood on the platform.

It curiously examined the flying mantis, seemingly quite interested in this opponent who looked even more formidable than the fluffy sheep.

"The rules remain the same. The venue is still this platform and the edge of the shallow water area," Mr. Hong reiterated simply. "Let's begin!"

"Scyther, prepare for battle!" Gu Beiri said in a deep voice, his gaze meeting that of Scyther.

The little guy nodded vigorously, flapped its wings, and glided lightly to the center of the platform, where it faced off against Wubo on the other side.

Emerald green and deep blue, speed and composure, insect-flying versus water-ground—tactically speaking, Scyther has the advantage.

"Battle begins!"

"Upo, rain!"

Old Hong resorted to his old tricks, taking the lead in altering the weather, strengthening the water system, and creating a slippery environment.

"puff!"

The second Ubo skillfully initiated a rainmaking ritual, and fine rain once again enveloped the area.

"Scyther, move at high speed, get close!" Gu Beiri responded immediately.

You can't give the opponent a comfortable environment to unleash their skills; you must use your speed advantage to disrupt their rhythm!

"Whoosh—!"

Almost the instant Gu Beiri gave the command, the Scyther's figure had already blurred!

After inheriting the ancient skill machine and practicing for several days, its high-speed movement became more fluid and natural, and its startup speed was astonishing!

Almost at the same time the rain began to fall, it transformed into an elusive green afterimage, tracing a fleeting arc as it hurtled towards Wubo!

"Upo, white mist!"

Old Hong reacted extremely quickly.

This urpo was clearly trained to deal with high-speed attacks, and immediately spewed out a thick white mist to envelop itself.

However, this time, the white fog was far less effective!

The moment the Scyther charged into the white mist, its body didn't glow with the light of an attack skill. Instead, it emitted a layer of pale blue, almost invisible energy fluctuations—gathering energy and spreading its senses!

Having been tempered by ice-strewn anchors and storms, its energy gathering ability is no longer simply about increasing the hit rate on vital points, but has acquired the ability to spread spiritual power and enhance perception!

The white mist can obscure vision, but it cannot completely block the detection of spiritual power!

In the Scyther's perception, the white mist was no longer an obstacle; Wubo's clear life energy and location were like a lighthouse in the dark!

"Vacuum wave, triple shot, block off retreat!"

Gu Beiri's instructions were clearly conveyed through the bond.

The Flying Mantis, enveloped in white mist, swung its twin scythes swiftly, unleashing three nearly transparent air blades in a triangular formation. This was not a blind attack, but rather a prediction of the three directions that Wubo might dodge!

"puff?!"

Wu Bo, hidden in the white mist, was clearly not expecting his opponent to launch such a precise attack even in the fog. He hastily rolled to the right, narrowly dodging two vacuum waves, but was grazed on the hind leg by the third one!

"Pfft!" Wu Bo cried out in pain, and the white mist surged violently and thinned due to his movement and injury.

"Now! Demon Slash!"

Gu Beiri seized the moment when the white mist thinned and Wu Bo's figure was revealed, and gave the order fiercely!

A fierce glint flashed in the flying mantis's eyes. With the momentum of its high-speed movement still intact, it flapped its wings violently, its body drawing a strange zigzag line in the air, and instantly appeared above and to the side of Wubo!

The right scythe rose, and the blue light of gathering energy, the faint white of vacuum-attached blade, and the purple patterns that attacked vital points instantly merged and intertwined. The purple and white destructive light trace reappeared, accompanied by a piercing shriek, and slashed fiercely at Wu Bo's nape!

Fast! Accurate! Ruthless!

It perfectly combines the speed of high-speed movement, the precision of gathering energy and sensing, and the explosiveness of demon slash!

The power of this attack far surpasses any of the sheep's attacks during battle!

A glint of light flashed in Old Hong's eyes: "Wu Bo, hold the line!"

This Ubo reacted extremely quickly, and a pale green light shield instantly appeared around its body!

"when--!!!"

The purple and white light streaks struck the protective light shield, producing a deafening clang of metal against metal!

The light shield fluctuated violently, ripples spread wildly, and the color dimmed at a visible speed, but it was ultimately not broken by a single blow!

It's blocked!

However, the Scyther's attack was not over!

"Continuous slashes and pursuit!"

Just as the demon's slash was blocked, its left scythe lit up with white light, and with the reaction force of the right scythe's slash and the rotation of its body, it swung out continuously like a whirlwind!

Bang bang bang!

Three consecutive slashes followed closely behind, fiercely striking the already crumbling protective light barrier!

Combo Slash is a Bug-type physical attack with a base power of 40. After each hit, the power of Combo Slashes doubles in the next turn, with a maximum power of 120!

(The skill master trait is calculated separately for combo attacks; it takes effect at 40 in the first round, but has no effect at 80 in the next round.)

"Snap!"

The light shield finally gave way and shattered!

Ubo staggered backward from the residual force of the consecutive slashes, his body bearing several shallow cuts, his eyes filled with horror.

This mantis's speed and attack coordination are so fast and fluid!

"Upo, create distance! Cover us with mud!"

Hong Lao immediately adjusted his tactics, attempting to use area attacks to limit the Flying Mantis's advance.

Despite the pain, Wubo opened his mouth and spat out a cloud of mud, covering a fan-shaped area in front of him.

"Moving at high speed, ascending in an arc!"

With a flap of its wings, the flying mantis moved like a nimble swift, tracing an upward arc to easily avoid the mud shot's coverage area, and looked down at Wubo from the air.

"Vacuum wave, point-fire interference!"

Several sharp blades of air shot down from the sky, accurately targeting Wubo's head, feet, and other vital points, forcing it to constantly twist its body to dodge and making it difficult to organize an effective counterattack.

For a time, Scyther had the upper hand on the field!

Like an elegant yet deadly assassin, it darts through the air at high speed, sometimes making feints while diving down, sometimes harassing from a distance, making full use of its advantages in speed, agility and attack range.

Upo was forced into a corner, forced to defend and dodge passively, occasionally retaliating with mud shots or water guns, but he could hardly hit the elusive flying mantis.

"Tsk, their speed advantage is too great. If this continues, Wubo will be dragged down." Old Hong frowned slightly.

This flying mantis's use of high-speed movement was even better than expected, especially its ability to maneuver three-dimensionally in the air, which made it difficult for Upo to take advantage of its ground combat capabilities.

"We have to force it down and get close..."

Old Hong's eyes flickered as he looked at the hot spring water.

"Upo, dive underwater and attack with primal power!"

Same tactics!

Upon receiving the order, Wubo sank into the water at the edge of the platform without hesitation, preparing to use the underground passage and primal power to create chaos, forcing the Scyther to land or reveal its weakness.

However, Gu Beiri had already anticipated this!

"Scyther, don't go down with it! Use your Steel Wings to bombard the water around the point where the Woop enters the water!"

Trying to lure me down? I won't!

Instead, we should use your actions to create a situation that is favorable to me!
