Chapter 51 Can you become my master?

After saying goodbye to Grant and the others, Roan returned to the farm.

Upon entering the room, Celia's door was ajar.

He gently pushed open the door.

The room was filled with a faint herbal fragrance. Celia and Elena stood guard on either side of the bed, on which lay the unconscious Linor.

Celia looked tired, but when she saw her master, a happy smile appeared on her face.

Elena habitually twitched her cat ears, no longer as afraid of this human as before.

Luo An stood by the bed and asked, "How is she? What about the guards who were unconscious?"

"The guards woke up in the middle of the night. After thanking me, they said they had to rush back to the main city to report the monster riot and the capture of Levins, and then they left the farm."

Celia looked at Linor, whose body was wrapped in bandages.

"I used healing magic to treat her wounds and applied some herbs, but her injuries were too severe. Many of her bones were broken, and she still hasn't woken up."

Celia remembered the situation of Linor's sudden appearance earlier and quickly told Roan.

"It was probably in the morning when she suddenly screamed in her unconscious state, her whole body was trembling, and she was sweating profusely. When I checked her, I found that the slave mark on Linor's back had changed from purple to black."

Luo An didn't hide anything and told the truth directly.

"Levins is dead. The goblin chieftain cut off his head with his own hands."

"The mark of a slave only fades when the master dies, and the slave becomes ownerless."

Ruffled Celia's little head and said softly, "Celia, you don't need to worry about being forcibly taken away anymore. You can stay by my side in peace."

Even as Celia was being touched, she couldn't help but ask the question that had been bothering her.

"Master, there's something I don't understand. I feel like you want to cause trouble for Levins, so why are you trying to save him?"

Luo An just smiled and sat down next to her.

"Sometimes, you don't necessarily have to take action yourself to get rid of someone."

"That beast Levins is, after all, the lord's son. Killing him would be troublesome. If I can get rid of him through the goblins, the trouble won't come to me, but to the goblins instead."

Celia listened intently, her doubts dissipating.

So this is how you can get rid of people.

The master truly lives up to his reputation.

She learned new things from her master.

"Of course, if we hadn't encountered the goblin attack, I wouldn't have let Levins leave here. I would have killed him. At worst, I would have been wanted by the police."

"Celia, I will never let you be taken away. I will protect you."

Luo An released his grip and stared intently at Celia.

He had genuinely decided to spend some time in exile.

"Hehe, I always knew that Master did this for my sake."

Celia laughed happily and placed her master's hand on her head again, wanting to be patted again.

Trust level +5%

[Trust level reaches 250%, gain 20 attribute points]

Luo An was not surprised by the information that appeared before him.

He's done all that, so it would be unreasonable if his credibility didn't increase.

After so long, he finally made some substantial gains, and Luo An planned to consider how to allocate his attribute points when he had some free time.

"that..."

Elena, who had been silent all along, heard everything and finally spoke up for the first time.

"Lord Luo An, why are you so kind to the slaves?"

She had witnessed everything that happened after Levens arrived at the farm yesterday.

Luo An was willing to offend the son of a nobleman for the sake of a slave, and he did not back down even knowing that there would be serious consequences.

To eliminate any future trouble, they even used goblins to get rid of Levins.

These events had a tremendous impact on Elena, completely overturning her preconceived notions.

"I...I really can't understand your behavior."

"Aren't all humans hypocritical, greedy, and cruel? They treat slaves like livestock, wantonly trampling on their lives."

Elena mustered her courage and looked at him.

"If other slave owners or nobles came to their door wanting slaves and were willing to pay 1000 gold coins, they would definitely sell them without hesitation."

Why are you so different from those people?

Seeing Elena's trembling cat ears and her wagging tail, Luo An knew that she was very scared when she said those words.

"I can't control what others do; I'll just do things the way I like."

"At least I don't think slaves are commodities; they are human beings, living beings."

Are slaves...human beings too?

This was the first time Elena had ever heard such a ridiculous yet undeniably true statement from a human.

Trust level +30%

"I...I still don't trust humans, they're all bad people."

Elena's voice trembled as she spoke, yet she kept her eyes fixed on the human before her, never looking away.

She felt that Lord Luo An might really be different from other humans.

Irena was branded and destined to be a slave, but even as a slave, she longed to be treated gently.

She saw this possibility in Luo An.

Elena walked timidly to Luo An, turned her back, and unbuttoned her dress, revealing her smooth, fair back.

She had a distinct black slave mark on her back.

"Lord Luo An, I would like to ask you for a favor."

Irena's heart was pounding. She lowered her head, her cat ears drooping limply, looking as timid as a frightened fawn.

"Can you become my...master?"

Luo An watched her retreating figure without saying a word for a long time.

He had assumed that it would take some time before Elena would lower her guard against humans.

Unexpectedly, because of Levins's matter, she made a decision so quickly.

This was an unexpected delight.

"I...I'm very capable at work!"

When Elena saw that Roan remained silent, she panicked, thinking that he was unwilling, and quickly added, "I can hunt, farm, and wash clothes. I eat very little and am easy to feed."

"If you'd like, I can... I can still serve you."

After saying this, a shy blush appeared on her face.

Elena had never done that kind of thing before.

But she understood that this was basically what female slaves had to do.

When Celia heard the last sentence, her gaze involuntarily shifted from her master to Elena.

She then noticed that the cat-eared girl had a pretty face and was indeed very likable.

Celia didn't say anything, but just waited for her master to speak.

"I see."

Since Elena willingly offered to become his slave, there was naturally no reason for her to refuse.

"If you're willing to stay, then treat this place as your home. I won't force you to do anything, and I certainly won't treat you like a slave."

"Live the way you did before, and live the way you will continue to do so."

Luo An emphasized this to Elena, hoping she wouldn't feel too much pressure.

A small cut appeared on his finger, and a drop of bright red blood fell onto the mark.

The black veins glowed and quickly turned purple.

"Mmm~"

Irena let out a painful groan, and her whole body went limp.

She had imagined the scene of recognizing a master countless times in her mind.

For example, being very unwilling, struggling desperately, or preferring death to surrender.

But the scene she had imagined never appeared. At this moment, Elena was completely willing and had no intention of resisting.

The intense pain in my body gradually subsided and disappeared in no time.

Now, Elena, who had been a slave, had a master in the true sense.
