Chapter 17 A Performance Being Watched

The giant bear is over three meters tall, with thick, black and white fur, making it more appropriately called a black and white bear.

Luo An had never seen such a large monster before, but the fact that it could instill such deep fear in the green-haired bull meant that it must be very powerful.

Almost the instant he saw the black and white bear clearly, the enormous creature moved.

Its body burst forth with a speed completely disproportionate to its size.

Each stomp of its paw sent mud flying, and in an instant, it rushed in front of him, its powerful bear paw smashing down on his head.

Before Luo An could dodge, his magic surged, and he braced himself with his hands in front of him, unleashing a magical shield.

Boom!

The bear paw slammed into the magic light shield, and Roan felt a tremendous force. The light shield trembled violently, and countless patterns spread outwards.

With a "crack," the rock-solid light shield shattered, turning into endless points of light.

Luo An was thrown back several steps by the shockwave, his arms went numb, and before he could catch his breath, the black and white bear's second paw was already smashing towards him.

"Damn it!"

The bear paw was too fast; Luo An's current speed was far from enough to dodge it.

I experienced the awkward situation of "my brain reacting, but my body not being able to" once again.

He brought up the panel and, without thinking, allocated 5 attribute points to "Agility".

In an instant, a strange power surged from within him, making Luo An feel lighter than ever before.

He saw the black and white bear's paw swing down very clearly.

Luo An bent over and turned to the side.

The bear paw barely grazed his back, tore his clothes, and slammed into the muddy road behind him.

Mud splattered everywhere, and a half-meter-deep crater was smashed into the road surface.

Luo An, who had narrowly escaped death, looked at the pit.

If I had been even a second slower, and had been hit by the bear's paw, I would have ended up with multiple broken bones.

Roar!

Seeing that its attack had missed, the black and white bear lashed out at the nearby green-haired bull in a fit of rage.

The immense force sent the bull's massive body flying, crashing to the ground with a cracking sound as its bones broke.

Ignoring the bull, the black and white bear turned and charged at Luo An.

Its speed remained swift, but it couldn't catch up with Roan, whose agility had skyrocketed, and several of its attacks missed.

Luo An kept dodging, getting closer and closer to the farmland.

He understood that simply dodging was useless.

The monster seemed to have its sights set on him, charging and crashing into him repeatedly.

If they continue to hide, the farmland will be completely destroyed.

Luo An's palm surged with magic, and he churned out several fireballs, even more intense than those he had used against the giant bull, before flicking them out.

At the very moment the fireball was launched, a whooshing sound rang in my ears.

An arrow whizzed past him and struck the black and white bear in the left eye.

The fireball exploded, the flames scorching the bear's fur, tearing open its charred flesh, and drawing out crimson blood.

The black and white bear's eyes turned red as it charged forward recklessly.

Luo An didn't give it a chance to get close, bombarding its abdomen with fireballs one after another.

Arrows kept flying, piercing its wounds and causing the black and white bear to roar in pain.

It went completely berserk, wildly swinging its forepaws, slapping the surrounding dirt away, and crashing into things haphazardly.

Amidst the chaotic and unpredictable attacks, Luo An was forced to retreat and dodge.

But he noticed that as he and Celia attacked, its movements began to slow down.

Another burst of flames erupted on the black and white bear's side, scorching its fur black. The bear frantically rolled around in the mud, trying to extinguish the flames on its body.

Its body was covered with burns and arrow wounds, and blood soaked through its fur, making it look like a "red bear".

The rage in Xiong Xiong's eyes was replaced by fear, and he stopped moving, no longer venting his anger indiscriminately.

The crimson single eye swept over the two of them, and the thought of retreating arose in his mind.

It feigned an attack, forcing Luo An back, then turned and dragged its wounded body back into the pitch-black forest like a madman.

"Trying to run away?"

Luo An watched the black and white bear run into the forest, his fireball poised to be fired, but hesitated for a moment.

Killing this monster won't be easy. Who knows what might be lurking in the forest at night? It's best not to chase after it.

As silence fell, Luo An lowered his hand, and the flames in his palm dissipated.

He glanced at the undamaged farmland not far away.

The roads were severely damaged, but the farmland was saved.

Luo An walked up to the injured bull, which growled in a low voice, its pitiful eyes looking at him.

Niu Niu was indeed unfairly implicated because he was caught in the crossfire while trying to escape the attack from the black and white bear.

Luo An placed his hand on the bleeding spot on its abdomen and used healing magic to treat the gruesome wound.

"Moo~"

The bull roared in gratitude, and its pain lessened considerably under the magical healing.

Clang!

Suddenly, a metallic clanging sound rang out.

Luo An saw an arrow and a short dagger falling from mid-air.

Is someone lurking in the shadows?

"Master, someone is watching us in the forest."

At that moment, Celia came over with her bow and arrow.

Her expression remained alert, her eyes fixed on the direction of the forest.

"Celia, thank goodness you're here."

Luo An's relaxed expression tensed up again.

If it weren't for her timely arrow, the dagger would have surely pierced him.

Whether he will die is hard to say, but he will definitely bleed.

Following Celia's gaze, the forest was pitch black, and nothing could be seen.

If someone were secretly watching everything, then the fight with the green-haired bull and the black and white bear would probably have been nothing more than a performance to be watched.

"Master, this is what I should do."

Celia's face showed no sign of relaxation.

"Can you hit him?" Luo An asked.

Celia wasn't very confident, so she drew an arrow from the quiver on her back.

The bowstring was drawn back, and the arrow pointed to a certain location in the forest.

That was the gap between two large trees.

Whoosh!

The arrow pierced the air and disappeared into the darkness.

The sound of arrows piercing tree trunks echoed through the forest.

"No result."

Celia watched the movements of the figures in the darkness.

"He moved the moment I fired."

Celia fired several more arrows, but none of them hit their mark.

The figure did not leave, but moved through the forest.

"He must be thinking about something."

Celia stopped shooting arrows.

When her master was fighting the black and white bear, she didn't choose to use magic, but instead used a bow and arrow, precisely to guard against the figures in the forest.

If he suddenly makes a move, she will be prepared.

The brief probing made Celia realize that the people in the forest were not to be underestimated.

"Are you considering whether or not to make a move against me?"

Luo An simply treated the green-haired bull's injuries.

At this moment, he no longer had the time to heal its wounds.

"Is it a person, or something else?"

Luo An didn't have her eyesight.

Now, we can only rely on Celia's "super vision" and "night vision" to obtain information.

"It should be... an orc."

As the night deepened, Celia could not make out the exact face of the figure, but she could still make out the outline of the "long ears" that appeared in the darkness.

"Orcs?"

The battle just now had greatly depleted his magic power, so while he was still relatively safe, Roan absorbed the sparse magical elements floating in the air.

In order to get the farm, Brian not only sent the Disk Machine to attack the farm with monsters, but also sent orcs to supervise it.

Will the orc attack him, or will he report everything he saw back?

The news that he possesses magic is certainly not good news for Brian.

Luo An believed that if he were that orc, unless he was not strong enough, he would definitely take action directly to eliminate any future troubles.

"Owner."

Celia frowned, nocked another arrow, and shot it into the forest.

"That orc is heading in our direction!"
