Dark Eldar

49 White Level 8

Fort Fraser was as peaceful as ever. The clothing store owner and William's arms shop owner had opened for business early. Some came to buy farm tools, while others came to measure cloth.

"Do you have priest's uniform?" A gentle girl's voice came from outside the clothing store.

"Oh! Who did I think it was? It's Elisa! How is your mother's recovery? Thank God she's finally saved! Oh, you just asked about a pastor? What's wrong, young lady? What do you need that for? You're a farmer's daughter!" Mrs. William joked, she couldn't believe Elisa would become a pastor someday.

"I was just asking out of curiosity. I wanted to see if I could wear it, and also to see how much it would cost." Elisa didn't dare say that she was Elaine's apprentice. High Priest Elaine had given her these instructions before she left.

"Come on, let me show you around! Come on in, there's hardly anyone here right now!"

"Look, this room is for professional attire." The two of them walked into another showroom.

"Wow, Mrs. William, you have so many business suits!" Elisa said sweetly.

Mrs. William was naturally pleased to hear the praise and wanted to introduce Elisa to him.

"Look! Elisa, these are outfits for warriors, mages, priests, thieves/assassins, and dwarves, in order. You know there are many dwarves living in our town, and these are all custom-made for them! It's a pity that your sister here is just a novice seamstress; I could never make blue clothes. But your brother William is different! He once forged a blue dagger called 'The Blade of the Dorkhammer'!" Mrs. William said proudly!

"The Blade of the Dolcy? Is it that powerful?" Elisa asked, her eyes wide with disbelief, a question perfectly befitting her status.

"Yes! The famous Dorgon Blade! Blue level six! If you want to see it, I'll take you there sometime! Your brother William is the only intermediate blacksmith in our village! He just got promoted!"

(Note: Upgrading skills such as blacksmithing, tailoring, forging, inscription, jewelry making, and alchemy does not require an exam; the upgrade condition is the "rarity" of the crafted or refined items.)

A weapon far superior to the Blade of the Druid, which Elisa had already used at the Demar Farm; daggers are generally of little use to priests.

"What level is your priest's robe, sister?" Elisa asked, pointing to the fourth row from the right (the human clothing section).

"Oh! I sewed that a few years ago, I think it's level 8. Want to try it on? Anyway, very few people buy similar white business suits. See if it fits you? Come on!" For a junior tailor, it's actually quite unpleasant to make clothes that don't sell for years.

For a small place like Frattow Fortress, Lady William was quite diligent, boldly trying out clothes of all professions and races! Some fortresses or strongholds, and even the capital city, have merchants who have become "lazy".

Some businessmen have become inactive! They specialize in buying and selling! Their minds are entirely focused on "making money," and they don't care about "professional skills."

"Wow! How beautiful!" Mrs. William exclaimed as she watched Elisa walk out of the dressing room.

An elegant lace dress in simple linen fabric—though it's a plain white outfit—looks just as stunning on Elisa as it does on a blue dress!

After putting it on, Elisa immediately felt a boost in her skills. (Professional attire increases overall skills by 2%, green attire by 3%, blue attire by 5%, and so on.)

"How much, sister?" Alyssa asked, somewhat interested in buying it; it matched her level perfectly. (Generally, the difference shouldn't be too great, otherwise the attribute bonus wouldn't be bearable.)

"What? You really want it? You probably want it as a wedding dress, right?" Mrs. William asked. She was somewhat inclined to sell it to Elisa cheaply as a "favor."
