Dark Eldar
483 Low Health Status
At the northernmost point of the wetlands map (237.373), towering reefs rise majestically. Loki struggles to climb atop one of these boulders, his feet sinking into the unfathomable, icy waters. On the black surface, he can vaguely make out the ravenous elite Megalodon (Level: Skull, Skill: Bite Level 8)!
The biting sea wind whipped the waves, crashing violently against the rocks. Loki stood atop a boulder, gazing into the distance.
"There's no path ahead. It seems like it's the same in all directions," Loki guessed. He was starting to lose interest in exploring other races; it felt futile. Perhaps there was a path in another direction? At that moment, Loki gazed into the endless depths of the sea and at the elite Megalodon (Level: Skull, Skill: Bite Level 8) circling above its surface. He felt an invisible resistance...
As for that treasure chest (blue, no level requirement) from last night??
Loki woke up just as dawn broke, quickly packed his things, and continued on his journey. Perhaps afraid of wasting time?? Loki didn't open the treasure chests in the ship's cabin.
On the way, Loki thought, "That treasure chest must belong to the merfolk. Opening it without any reason would feel like doing them a disservice, even though they're just a bunch of ordinary monsters."
Loki also knew that the fish-men's emotions might not be as complex as he had imagined. In short, whether or not to open the treasure chest was the freedom of each hero, and no one else had the right to interfere.
Loki was getting cold on the rocks. He bent down and struggled to climb down from the top of the rocks again (S key). The descent was also quite difficult; in the narrow gaps, Loki could only probe downwards little by little.
Oh no! Loki nearly slipped and fell! (No sound effect)
Loki accidentally slipped and lost his footing. He quickly changed his leg position, thankfully he had previous rock climbing experience. If he had actually fallen from such a high reef, he would have been severely injured, if not killed!
Exploring the edge of such a sparsely populated map is extremely dangerous! There are unlikely to be any priests or other support classes nearby. If corpse runs aren't allowed in Classic WoW, Loki will be in grave danger! (Note: The resurrection mechanic in Classic WoW is currently 'secret,' a mystery to every hero, shrouded in mystery. But one thing is certain: mid-to-high-level priests definitely have resurrection spells!)
In normal circumstances, no hero wants to die, especially not from a fall. Loki hasn't yet seen a hero die in PvP (red name) or from being killed by monsters. As for heroes killed by bosses in dungeons, since they're not on the same cooldown, Loki doesn't know what happens to heroes who die in dungeons. Before coming to Classic WoW, every hero was relatively strong (high gold income, high DPS, and strong survivability). Therefore, everyone is reluctant to discuss such sensitive topics (the competition mechanism), as the cost of bringing a hero to Classic WoW is too high (the T3500 key quest is extremely expensive). "Nobody wants to be the first to try something new!" (An ancient Eastern proverb).
Loki maintained a steady pace on his mount. He planned to cross the Vadol Plains directly in one day, without stopping at the Vadol Plains Inn for supplies. He still had a lot of bread left in his backpack, a gift from the orc uncle at the inn. Therefore, Loki didn't want to trouble the uncle again.
This is also a major reason why Loki didn't want to open the Merfolk's treasure chest! He felt, "I have enough to eat and drink, so there's no need to take up too many resources." (*@everyone; @all)
Midway through the journey, Loki and his horse grew tired. They rested for a while, allowing their mounts to eat hay and drink water. Loki also ate something to replenish his strength.
"Little white horse, let's go!"
Loki mounted his mount and continued on his journey.
Along the way, there were butterfly monsters (level 37) and velociraptor monsters (level 38) blocking the road and causing trouble, but Loki ignored them and chose to charge straight through.
"Where are we? Let me check the map. Wow, not bad! We seem to be almost at Regin Town." As they traveled, Loki would occasionally open the map (shortcut key M) to check their route.
Sometimes, to save time, he would put away his mount (Ctrl+B) and ride the mountain road by himself for a while.
By evening, Loki had finally arrived at the south gate of Regin Town (131, 137).
"Hello, traveler! It's so late, it's dangerous outside," a level 43 guard at the entrance of Goldshire greeted him warmly.
"Good evening, guard!" Loki (level 41) replied politely.
After successfully entering the city, Loki ran straight to the Meggle Hotel (131.227, three-star).
Upon entering, the lobby of the Megel Hotel was brightly lit, and Loki, who had been busy exploring maps all day, was still a little disoriented.
"Good evening, Loki warrior! Welcome back! It's my pleasure to host you!" A young human girl (level 30) smiled as she spoke at the hotel's central bar. Tonight, she was the reception manager at the hotel's front desk.
Because Loki had checked in here, the senior manager required every bartender, lobby manager, waiter, and other staff member to memorize the name of every customer (requiring them to memorize hero cards; there were assessments). The Megal Hotel is an officially operated hotel in the Classic WoW server, therefore its service standards are particularly high, but for some reason, hotels in the main city always seem to prefer addressing guests by their names?
"Yes, beautiful lady, please check this for me. Before I left, I left the room key for room 302 at the front desk. I registered it under the names of Pastor Elaine (current rank unknown) and myself. Please check this for me. I prepaid for 5 years' worth of room fees," Loki explained patiently. He didn't think he had seen this young human girl manager (position: Night Shift Manager) before.
"Wow, so much prepayment! So you're the mysterious Mr. Loki!" the young girl exclaimed in surprise, seemingly a little incoherent.
It turns out that Loki, who had been running all day, was covered in dust. No wonder the substitute female manager mistook him for another Loki. (Heroes with the same name, etc.)
"Mr. Loki, please. Here is your VIP room key. Wow! You're so wealthy, and you're so considerate to your girlfriend! How enviable!" the young female manager exclaimed excitedly.
"Thank you, beautiful lady. I'm a little tired. Here's your tip (50 gold coins). Let's chat again sometime. Bye!" Loki said politely.
"You! You're so kind! I hope to serve you again. Good night, esteemed Mr. Loki," the young girl said politely with a smile. It was the first time in her life she had received such a large tip. There were five stacks of gold coins, ten coins in each stack, a total of fifty coins. The gold coins on the bar were shining brightly under the lobby lights, looking very beautiful.
"Thank you!! Bye~" (General phrase)
At the bar, the young female manager excitedly waved goodbye discreetly, feeling incredibly lucky tonight.
