Dark Eldar

455 Miss

Loki and Elaine rested briefly on the road before continuing their journey.

On the way, Loki seemed lost in thought, while Elaine was also thinking about some interesting things.

Elaine was surprised: "So Loki's way of thinking is so cautious! It's completely different from my father Demacia's straightforwardness."

Previously in the alternate world, Loki was running around doing missions (making money; upholding justice), and there seemed to be some kind of "mysterious mission" involved? Now that he's a secondary character, Elaine has more opportunities to interact with him.

However, Elaine still harbored feelings for Loki; she always believed he would become a great hero like her father, Demacia, a god of war.

In her early years in the other world, Elaine had very few opportunities to interact with other boys. Demacia's upbringing of Elaine was a bit too strict. He didn't send her to a professional magic school like those in the other world. Actually, Demacia was a bit too cautious; he should have sent Elaine to train there, because the competitive environment would have been more beneficial to her growth. Unfortunately, it was all too late; before she knew it, Elaine had grown into a beautiful young woman...

Loki, still walking, wasn't thinking that far ahead. His opinion on Elaine's arrival in Classic WoW was relatively conservative. Loki simply wanted to protect Elaine as much as possible so he could have an explanation when his Demacian brother arrived in Classic WoW.

"Loki, how much further do we have to go? I'm hungry," Elaine called out in a spoiled tone. After all, she hadn't had breakfast yet and had walked quite a distance.

On the way, they had initially encountered level 7-8 monsters, but now the minimap in the upper right corner of their screen was completely black (M, indicating scouting experience). The wilderness on both sides of the road was now full of level 15+ monsters, as well as roaming elite monsters (silver, rare, slightly larger).

There are also flying moths (level 17, neutral). Thankfully, they're neutral moths; otherwise, with Loki and his companion's levels and less-than-ideal weapons, fighting level 17 or 18 monsters would be quite tiring. (Miss! Dodge!)

"I'm sorry, Elaine, I was a bit too cautious. I was just focused on getting there... Hmm, there aren't many monsters around here. Sit on the stone steps and wait for me for a while. I'll go find something to eat nearby." Loki patted his head, feeling remorseful.

He was also puzzled: "So these kinds of basic mistakes shouldn't happen. Damn, I'm not as thorough as I used to be. I'm probably not as wise as I used to be. I'm just relying on my past knowledge to explore new maps."

Loki skillfully activated his combat stance and quickly ran to the nearest area where wild monsters roamed to scout. He discovered many wild boars (level 16; red-named).

"I wonder if they're quest monsters? Oh well, let's just kill them and see if they drop any meat?" Loki said as he quickly ran up to fight the boars (Haste level 1; not activated). Some of them were even boars with tusks (level 18 elites, not rare, medium size).

Back in the other world, Loki could easily defeat monsters below level 50, but now that he's only level 15, it's a bit more difficult.

They are currently below level 20 and cannot choose their own combat class. (Warrior, Mage, and Priest are the basic classes available to players level 20+ in the early stages of Classic WoW; there may be other classes or specializations later. Please refer to the actual version for details. @all)

Loki's combat skills are pitifully few.

Now he can only use basic attacks, which are slow. When he gets impatient, he kicks the wild boar's belly and uses basic attacks. He doesn't have any attack skills with special effects. It's really tough.

The boar monster is tough and thick-skinned (Miss! Miss! Miss!), and Loki dodges three times in a row, but Loki is relentless!! He slashes fiercely at the boar's head! The boar monster is naturally irritable, and it can't stand the provocation of a low-level hero.

Loki's arrogance enraged the monsters, and the wounded boar became enraged, even more ferocious! It even tried to bite Loki! (Bite level 3; low-level monsters do not have Bloodlust)

"Brother Pig, don't get excited! I'll just grab some jerky and head off, and maybe level up my little one too," Loki said to the boar. (Indirect taunt skill; Level 1; Not activated)

But the boars couldn't understand any human language. They let out low growls and howls (Taunt skill; increases aggro by 5%). The low-health boar monsters stood tall and issued another warning to Loki (Demonstration skill; increases defense by 10%).

"Thump!" Several boar monsters fell. Their corpses gleamed faintly. (To be picked up)

"Meat*2! (White; Cooking; Boar Monster Drop), Shredded Cloth*5 (Bandages are unusable)."

Loki quickly picked it up; he certainly didn't want the scraps of cloth.

After repeating this process, Loki had killed one stack of meat (20 pieces; weighing approximately 2 kilograms) before stopping. At the same time, his level increased to 16.

Elaine was far away, so she didn't share the experience from the boar monster this time; she's still level 15.

"Eleanor, look what I caught!" Loki showed Eleanor a bunch of fresh meat.

"Loki, that's awesome!! Shall we start a fire and roast some meat?" Elaine jumped up and down, clapping her hands happily!

Elaine in the classic outfit has become more lively and adorable than before ("kawaii"; a slang term from a small Eastern country), and for a fleeting moment, Loki thought of Elisa.

"Hmm, let me check if the Cooking skill is unlocked? I remember life skills are supposed to be a free gift." Loki then realized that they had both forgotten to buy the "Beginner Cooking Skill Book" in the starting village.

"Ah~~~ I didn't learn it..."

"......"

"I think I bought the skill book from the hotel bartender. I saw it on the shelf when I booked the room, but I was in a rush to rest and forgot to order it..." Loki explained.

"It's alright, Elaine, as long as there's fire. I'll see if there are any flints in the wild." Loki was experienced enough to know there were other ways.

So Loki went to the fields to look for flint, but unfortunately he couldn't find any after searching for a long time. He also thought of "making fire by friction," but unfortunately, he was limited by the materials available.

"Come on, Elaine, hang in there a little longer. We should be almost at the next town in the starting area. There might even be some mounts for sale there~" Loki said awkwardly, feeling a bit embarrassed himself.

"Hmm, okay!" Elaine said gently, she agreed (-_-||).

Loki and Elaine were both at level 999 in this alternate world. Almost all their life skills, including fishing, cooking, herbalism, jewelry making, and engineering, were at level 500 or higher. However, the prospect of starting everything from scratch now seems somewhat abrupt.
