Dark Eldar

Hidden Quest VI of the 428 Series

Luo's acceptance of a disciple was purely accidental.

"Winterbeau, without magic, my combat strength is only average. At most, I can only provide you with mental guidance. Look, we can't even complete the initial mission smoothly." Loki said this to try and dissuade his apprentice Winterbeau.

Winterbourne's wealth is an innate gift from his family (he's a Gold VIP, so he doesn't care much about anything, let alone his "stingy" teacher Loki).

"Master Loki, actually, my father wanted me to learn forging from you," Winterbourne confessed.

"I guessed that. I already did." Loki didn't like to keep things to himself.

"Then our goals are aligned," Winterbourne said, half-jokingly.

"Alright, I know you were forced into this. I just hope you don't cause any trouble. Okay, I'll teach you from the basics first." Loki intended to discourage his apprentice Winterbo. Only Loki himself truly understood the hardships of forging artifacts. He could probably predict that Winterbo might find it too complicated or tedious and give up.

"My forging skill is already at the maximum level of 450." Winterbo confidently opened the forging interface so that his master could check it.

Loki only glanced at it. He knew it was just a number and didn't mean anything.

"Shall we find a mining area now and let me see your basic mining skills?"

So they mounted their respective mounts, left the city, and set off.

The master-disciple storyline questline does not require permission to leave. Loki instructed Winterbo to avoid using rare mounts, and specifically, to avoid using 5-person mounts.

Upon arriving at the mining area (1713), Loki saw that it was a mithril vein and pointed to the rock strata above the mine, saying, "Winterbo, please start mining! Although I don't have the blueprints, I know the preliminary preparations by heart. Let's get 100 sets first, and then we'll go back and forge and compress them into 1 set of pure silver."

"Besides, your pickaxe looks pretty new. You don't use it often, do you?" Loki said with a smile.

"Ah, you've caught me, teacher. That's true." Winterbo was spoiled and pampered; even his life skills were bought with money.

"You must do it yourself! Otherwise, you'll never grasp the secrets of forging," Loki said confidently, facing the gentle breeze on the grass.

"Oh? Forging has its secrets? Loki, I've never heard of that. Is it in the menu?" Winterbourne was skeptical. His studies were all theoretical, and his approach was "no limits, just spend money!" He probably failed many times before coming to become an apprentice.

"Alright, you can practice mining on your own today. You've already reached the maximum level of 450 in mining. I hope you can solidify your foundation. As long as you have perseverance, reforging the divine weapon is inevitable! Because you have unlimited wealth resources, and I've also figured it out, I must guide you to complete the final task, which is to forge the divine weapon!!"

After Loki finished speaking, he quickly summoned his mount and rode away alone.

The mining area isn't barren land. The mining area in the trial is scenic, a great place to level up, build a foundation, and relax. Most importantly, there's no "mine-stealing"! (In the regular maps outside, disputes over mining are common; everyone claims to have found it first, and sometimes two people are mining at the same time, swinging their pickaxes simultaneously, showing no courtesy in the struggle for survival.)

Loki wanted to confront Edward III, questioning why he had formed a team with a specific purpose? Or why Winterbo? Regarding the forging of the artifact and the blueprints?

After thinking for a while, Loki realized something. "Most likely, Edward and the others are unaware of this either. Their apprentice might even be trying to extract valuable treasures from them?" (The treasures Loki referred to were intangible, requiring guidance through mentorship missions or inspired by a series of quests. They were a more valuable "intangible asset.")

Edward's female apprentice is no pushover either. Her name is Wendy, and although she's not from a golden aristocracy, she's at least a VIP5 or higher family member, or perhaps the illegitimate daughter of some superhero...

Wendy (Level 0) is a cheerful girl with no flaws in appearance or figure. She wants to learn "politics" from her teacher, Edward III. In other words, how to utilize her talents within the Elders' Council of this other world?

Edward wasn't particularly fond of his female apprentice either. He believed, "If you're too goal-oriented, it's hard to succeed in this other world. The monotonous daily tasks alone can wear down anyone's will."

As for the core essence of "advanced" knowledge, Edward didn't explain it to Wendy. He knew that even if he told her directly, she wouldn't understand, and might even misunderstand him, thinking he was arrogant or had ulterior motives.

Edward wanted to explain the "master-disciple mission" to Loki. "Words are useless" was Elder Sun Yun's famous saying, even though Elder Sun Yun wasn't Edward's master.

After considering it, Edward decided not to offer any further explanation, since he was unaware of the situation and it wasn't intentional.

Wendy, the young apprentice, possessed a confident beauty; she was a talented singer and dancer, and felt she could charm any hero.

Winterbo (Gold VIP), sweating profusely while mining, had blisters on his hands. He wanted to give up, but he didn't. He wanted to persevere a little longer, at least collect 20 veins of ore, then rest for a while, eat a Snickers bar (item; 30 sanity, lasts 300 seconds) to recover some stamina, and then collect another 20 veins.
