"Are your own feelings necessarily true? Dark? Have you forgotten how the Dark Legion trained you?!" The leader-level BOSS, Victor, questioned. He had begun his psychological warfare! (Skull-level)

"It's you, Lord Victor! But I must accomplish what I desire. I must defeat you!" Dark roared defiantly.

The battle had already begun, but Victor's methods were more "gentle." Psychological warfare.

The onlookers knew that an area-of-effect attack was possible. Don't underestimate a 1v1; if cooldown skills can be used within their cooldowns, whoever casts an effective skill first has a chance of winning!

Ludall wanted to help, but knowing he was merely a "multi-headed" party (an Eastern slang term), he knew that speaking up at this point would only complicate matters further. So he secretly went to the attic to observe the situation.

"Alright then! Let's fight fair and square!" Victor began casting a spell. (Battle Stance; a balanced combat stance that grants rage when hit or when hitting an opponent)

"Chain Axe!!" Victor unleashed his signature move, a skill he had used to instantly kill countless people.

"Protective Shield!" Dark didn't use dodge, but instead tried to catch Victor's signature move.

Dark, who had just reached the level cap, knew that his equipment was not yet perfect. He wanted to try his luck and felt confident of victory.

50!!!

Dark's health bar instantly dropped by half! Victor's giant axe showed no mercy. He either gained his former beloved general, or he killed him!

"Wow, that's impressive! I guess I underestimated the general's strength!" Dark thought to himself. His mental fortitude was indeed high; even after losing half his health, he didn't panic.

Ludar could see everything clearly from inside the attic. He couldn't understand why Dark was going to get beaten up. It was a fact that Dark's equipment hadn't been upgraded after reaching the level cap. Much of Dark's gear was still level 600 level 9 equipment...

"It's not too late for you to surrender now, Dark." Victor, seeing how fragile Dark's health bar was, tried to give him a way out. (Dual taunt; a complex advanced skill for warriors; it can both attract and neutralize aggro.)

"Keep going! Let's see what else you can do!" Dark said calmly, as if he was ready to win.

"I don't understand." Victor rested for a moment, feeling he needed to be cautious. Could Dark be up to something?

In the shadows, Ludall also felt that Dark might have done it on purpose. He knew Dark.

The Fire Messenger and the other onlookers hid far away, not wanting to get involved. Seeing that the two were about to fight, the Fire Messenger figured it was a personal feud and wasn't too worried. He just wanted to quickly settle things so he could "go home."

"It's too chaotic, it's too chaotic outside. It really is..." the Fire Messenger muttered to himself.

Another observer was Elemental Erso, who was thinking of defeating Dark so he could regain control. Perhaps Elemental Erso was overthinking things, or perhaps he was just being delusional. In truth, the only way for him to rise again after his "dismissal" was through his own efforts, not by seeking help from others.

Elemental Erso may have grasped the situation somewhat by now, but given the current circumstances, there's no turning back. He has no choice but to grit his teeth and watch the battle unfold. He doesn't want to offend the Firebringer.

Second attack (Sever)! Third attack (Thunder Strike)!

Dark's health bar kept decreasing, while the Dark Legion general's health bar remained at 100—the difference was simply too great!

"Dark, if you keep going, you'll only have 10 health points left. What's wrong with him today?" Ludar muttered to himself. He knew perfectly well that something was amiss, but he couldn't foresee it, which troubled him greatly.

"What's going on? How boring?" The Fire Messenger in the distance kept yawning.

Elemental Ersor clenched his fists; he seemed to see a glimmer of hope.

"If I keep fighting like this, you're finished, Dark. Let's say goodbye!" (Battle Shout; Instant Victor prepares to unleash a fatal blow!!)

"I'm ready, bring it on!" Dark said calmly, concealing his wounds. Because he had activated his protective shield beforehand and hadn't used much magic, his defenses hadn't weakened much. He was carefully calculating the damage each time; could he possibly turn the tide?

"Then I won't hold back!" Victor unleashed another attack! (Heroic Strike!; Mid-to-high level skill; Requires melee weapon. Melee damage 2000)

After level 50, the higher the health bar, the harder it is to kill! The same applies if Victor is tanking the damage; initially, his health is low and drops quickly, while later levels are much harder to lower.

He has 5 HP left. Dark is wearing a leather armor set today, which increases his evasion, especially in the late game.

Victor's rage meter was full. He unleashed "Blood Frenzy" (consuming health to gain 3 rage over 10 seconds). High-level heroes can use this skill in combat stance. Lower-level heroes need to disengage from combat. (Victor wanted to play it safe.)

Victor has a powerful aura, and his burst of energy creates a whirlwind effect! He smashed a crater in the ground!

Dark's health is down to only 3, he's in grave danger!

Dak remained strong and calm.

Ludar, inside the attic, gasped. He knew that Dark's defeat would be detrimental to him. Although he usually kept a low profile and was somewhat "not very free," Ludar was self-aware enough to know that by exploiting Dark's cold-bloodedness, he could continue to pursue his "dream."

Everyone has dreams, especially the intelligent Ludall...

Dark has only 1 HP left! He's about to die...

Just when everyone thought Dark was about to die, Dark cast a spell, and Viktor collapsed heavily...

No one knew what Dark's max-level hidden ultimate move was, but Ludar, lurking in the shadows of the attic, saw it clearly...

"Blood bar swapping technique! That's Dark's max-level ultimate move, wow! Awesome! Simply amazing! Absolutely incredible, he's practically invincible! Awesome!" Dark whispered as he quickly went downstairs, passed by the general store, bought some flowers (B), and prepared to welcome Commander Dark (the captain) back in triumph!
