Dark Eldar

396 Hostile Relationship: Neutral

Peace? It's always fleeting. War is eternal! —Otherworldly Rules 511

Elaine, the daughter of Demacia (level 999), overheard the details of the transaction while in the cabin at the Demacian farm and was utterly shocked!

"Is Loki having a mental breakdown? You know, legendary artifacts are incredibly precious! There's only one in the multiple worlds. Even if you're not in another world, bringing it to any world would be very useful!" Elaine thought anxiously.

Elaine is indeed a top performer on the alchemy path. However, her life experiences are far less impressive than those of Loki, the mage. Loki lost almost everything in his most difficult times, while Elaine, even after countless failures, still had her war god father and the help of Demacia, so she was never truly alone.

When Loki was a mid-level apprentice in another world, he used many methods to forge a legendary artifact.

His success, theoretically speaking, could be considered his own achievement. Elaine's success, however, was the result of two people's efforts. Although Old Demar's alchemy skills were mediocre, he created incredibly favorable conditions for his daughter. Whatever blueprint Elaine needed, Old Demar would tirelessly search for it on Facebook, his efficiency remarkably high.

"Brother Loki!"

"Brother Loki! I just heard you're here..." The beautiful pastor Elaine hurriedly pushed open the wooden door and ran out.

Loki saw his "patron," Elaine, and felt things were taking a turn for the better. His biggest headache at the moment wasn't the ownership of the artifacts, but rather his 2 million gold coin penalty for breach of contract.

Loki had become indifferent to the allure, reluctance, and greed for the artifact. He had simply been waiting for this opportunity—an opportunity where someone would offer a high price and the artifact would find a good owner. Loki did not regret his decision.

The plan to sell the artifacts was no accident. Loki simply felt he should do it; as for long-term plans and life strategies, he hadn't made any. He figured it would take him a while to adjust.

"What are you busy with, daughter! Loki and I have been calling you for ages!" Old Dema, a man of many social skills, symbolically scolded his daughter. It was just a polite gesture.

"I'm working on improving our potion, but the signal's bad in the basement," said the beautiful pastor, MS Elaine, in a coquettish tone.

"Alright, it's awfully cold outside, and it's getting dark. Let's go inside and talk!" Old Dema invited Loki.

Loki had no choice but to accept the invitation and go inside.

Demar gestured for Loki to sit on the sofa first; he was going to grill a steak. And it had to be a fresh, juicy steak.

It was all the same old polite talk, like a farmer NPC exchanging pleasantries. It completely lacked the domineering aura of an "invincible war god".

Loki awkwardly sat down and chatted with Pastor Elaine about everyday things.

"How is your father?"

"Oh, look what I'm saying, bookmark this, and continue reading 'The Dark Eldar' anytime, anywhere. Isn't Brother Demar cooking in the kitchen?" Loki stammered, somewhat incoherently. After all, he had just revealed his true identity; the legendary artifact was of paramount importance, and Loki was incredibly excited. His teeth chattered slightly, but Loki didn't reveal his true feelings. He was feigning casualness, and doing so convincingly. However, his speech lacked logical coherence. Loki genuinely felt that the Hammer of the Creator's time with him might be drawing ever shorter...

"Hey! What a waste of those 5 or so skill points..." Loki didn't bother to recall the difficult past; he simply felt a deep sense of regret.

An awkward conversation ensued.

"I think that's great too."

Yes, that's right...

"Brother Loki, we are willing to accept your proposal." Just then, Pastor Elaine suddenly interrupted Loki. She said in a very serious tone.

"Clang!" In the kitchen, Demar's pot seemed to have fallen. As a master chef, he shouldn't be unable to hold the utensils. Maybe he was just too excited?

"Brother Loki, trade me your artifact. I'm willing to give you the blueprints for my resurrection potion. But, is your alchemy skill maxed out?" Elaine asked seriously.

"Hmm, I can learn," Loki said hesitantly, a point he hadn't fully considered.

"Forget it, once you reach the maximum level, the time required to improve your proficiency will be much longer. Will your client agree to that?" Elaine analyzed for Loki.

"Haha, it seems you all knew." Loki already knew Elaine should have some information. He just wanted to confirm it, afraid of any misunderstanding.

Now that things have come to this, no one needs to hide their intentions anymore. Loki wants to sell the artifact, and if Demacia and his daughter were to exchange it for the "Super Resurrection Potion Blueprint," it would be an extremely good deal—it would be like a windfall.

But Demacia and Elaine are both heroes of justice, and they don't want to take advantage of Loki. They want to know Loki's true thoughts.

If Loki acted impulsively, solely for the 3 million gold penalty for breach of contract, the Demacian father and daughter had discussed it and were willing to help Loki unconditionally. The Demacian, with his rich life experience, could vaguely sense Loki's "unspeakable difficulty."

"It's like when I went to the Dark Eldar territory a few years ago. What happened between me, Prince Apa, and the Black Dragon King was a disgrace, but looking back, it was quite an interesting time... I've forgotten the hatred, completely let go, and my hostile relationship with the Dark Eldar has long since changed to—neutrality..."

There are some issues that Old Demar, who lives in the kitchen, understands. He knows full well that "his daughter Elaine might not be up to the task yet. At least not yet."

"COME ON! Fresh, juicy steak is here! Let's enjoy it together!" Old Demar firmly interrupted the conversation in the room.

Loki, in his overwhelming excitement, inexplicably greeted the Demacian chef with a steaming, juicy steak, completely forgetting that he was there to trade for an artifact and his exorbitant 3 million gold coin penalty for breach of contract.
