Dark Eldar

"Brother Dema, I'd like to see Elaine. Is she home?" Loki asked bluntly.

Demacia dropped his axe (white), scratched his head, and was surprised that even Loki would be involved in matters concerning the potion. In Demacia's eyes, the mage Loki was already ready to "take off," so why was he still bothering with worldly affairs? It didn't make sense.

Loki, with his exceptional insight, naturally noticed Demacia's confusion.

"Brother Demar, please don't misunderstand. Elder Catherine from another world and I share the same goal, but I believe I am more sincere. My terms of exchange are more in line with your and your daughter Elaine's interests. I will not let your efforts go to waste."

Loki spoke calmly. At the same time, a few wicked thoughts were beginning to stir within him.

"Outright robbery??"

Loki, of course, wouldn't, and he wouldn't dare. He's always been a courteous and gentlemanly mage. He wouldn't do something so ungrateful. (Evil thoughts represent the dark side, civilized behavior represents the bright side of this other world; they check and balance each other!)

"If 2 million gold coins works, Pastor Catherine won't go through me for the transaction; Demarcus will definitely demand a higher transaction fee," Loki thought. With his significant Intelligence attribute bonus, he naturally knew what was going on.

"Ah! So you've come about the resurrection potion blueprint too. I'm old now, and I've long since passed the torch to my daughter, Elaine. Let's see if she's willing to make the trade?"

Demacia doesn't want to make things difficult for Loki, but also wants to make things difficult for him; it's a contradictory and complex situation.

After retiring, Demacia took his daughter from the main map of the alternate world to a secondary map, and then back to the main map. Their purpose was to research the "Super Resurrection Potion." Of course, there were other important things to do, but developing the Super Resurrection Potion had truly consumed a lot of their energy. If they were to sell it cheaply, or even through acquaintances, Demacia and the Priestess Elaine would be extremely saddened. This was also why Demacia hadn't wanted to sell to the alternate world before.

"Elena!"

"Eleanor! Loki is here, he wants to see you!" Old Dema shouted twice.

There was no response from inside the cabin for a long time. It seemed that what Dema had just said was a pre-arranged code?

Seeing this, Loki became a little anxious.

Loki had leverage, and this was the reason he came. He knew he had to succeed, and he knew that Demar and his daughter would definitely accept his new offer.

"A labor of love for a labor of love! I'm waiting for you with 'Eldar'." Loki made his offer directly!

"You? I... I don't quite understand." Demacia shrugged, indicating his incomprehension of Loki's intentions.

"You surely understand, Brother Dema. I want to trade the artifact with Elaine, and also with you!" Loki said firmly.

"You mean the Hammer of the Creator, an artifact?" Dema asked doubtfully. He was a little skeptical; after all, it was a legendary artifact, golden, and unique. There was only one in the entire multiverse!

Compared to the Super Resurrection Potion blueprint, the artifact carries more weight. In other words, it's much rarer, requiring a higher level of luck and skill, making it even more difficult to obtain!

"But the young, up-and-coming mage Loki before me... he seems to have gone mad? Could it be that he has truly reached some kind of high-level state of being free from desires and wants?" Demacia gazed at the setting sun, his heart filled with doubt.

Loki also looked up at the setting sun. He hadn't realized how quickly time had flown by; it was just morning, and now it was dusk.

"Brother Dema, I'm confident I can make another one. Take it and disassemble it! You'll definitely get the complete blueprint. If Elaine gets the artifact, I think she'll be 100 times happier!" Loki pleaded.

Loki made this decision for many reasons, quite complex indeed. Initially, he did consider trying to "turn to the dark side," but his conscience and sense of justice wouldn't allow it. He was a principled mage, and although he had left the other world, its light remained within him. Justice is never lost because a hero "transfers" or leaves a guild. Evil, however, is different; some heroes become villains or fall into darkness entirely of their own making.

Furthermore, Loki has long felt depressed. He wonders if he would still be himself if he lost the artifact, the Hammer of the Creator, one day.

Every hero has the right to choose their own destiny, and Loki also wanted to use the Catherine family to help him complete a major deal. If he simply auctioned off the artifacts, it would throw the entire multiverse into chaos and allow villains to succeed. Only by indirectly selling them to Demacia and his daughter Elaine could Loki feel at ease.

"Wow, young man! You're so brave! I admire you! But I simply cannot accept this. I'm old, and the materials needed for the artifact blueprints are far more difficult to obtain than those for developing the resurrection potion. My time is running out..." Demacia was trying to decline. He didn't want any more trouble; he just wanted to live a simple, monotonous life with his daughter.

The conversation between Loki and Demacia was overheard by Pastor Elaine, who was inside the house.
