Dark Eldar
327 Basic Attack
The racial attribute of dwarves is "tenacity"!
After a few moves, Loki's skills were already ready to be unleashed; he was using physical attacks to fight the dwarf squad.
"I thought that with my reputation and the artifact, intimidating the dwarf squad wouldn't be a problem? However..." Loki hesitated. When he saw the resolute look in the dwarf captain Mona 911's eyes, he immediately suppressed his murderous intent. Otherwise, the dwarf squad would truly be in trouble.
While Loki was parrying, he was particularly afraid that the opponent's physical attacks would damage the appearance of his artifact, leaving even the slightest scratch. After all, it was his "life's work."
The fierce battle continues. More heroes, both men and women, have come to watch from the vicinity.
The unique divine light emanating from Loki's artifact, "The Hammer of the Creator," is simply too dazzling! Even Elder Schopenhauer from another world once greatly envied his artifact. It's only natural that ordinary heroes would pass by and watch it when it appears on the new map.
Loki, upon seeing this, felt rather embarrassed. "Showing off" wasn't what he wanted, yet he'd unexpectedly ended up showing off unintentionally, attracting so many onlookers.
"9, 11, stop for a second, okay?" Loki pleaded during the fight. He felt incredibly uncomfortable.
"What's wrong, otherworldly archmage? Are you scared? Could it be...?" The dwarf Mona 911 and Enko 853 (vice) intensified their pursuit. They believed their squad was destined to win this time.
"A fake mage who can't even use magic..." Mona911 was quite excited, thinking he'd finally gotten his hands on a treasure. (Note: "Fake artifacts" with identical appearances are allowed in this other world. They are "replicas" but not sold in the auction house. They were made by highly skilled, money-grubbing goblin craftsmen. The higher the level of imitation, the higher the price; since they are "parallel imports," they are all "equipment-bound.")
"Come on, Enko! Just take him down. His fake artifact will be ours!!" The stubborn dwarf captain seriously overestimated his strength. Either he was inexperienced, or he lacked "social experience"... (Note: In the virtual world, "experience" (EXP) has two meanings. One is experience points, used for leveling up; the other is "social experience," also called "survival experience." The latter is directly related to "awakening level"! It's also related to "wisdom" and closely linked to the offline ID. In other words, the smarter the offline hero player, the more "efficient" their abilities, adaptability, and survival skills will be after logging in. As a result, stamina decreases accordingly. The former can sometimes backfire. Once someone chooses the "dark" evolution path, there's truly no turning back. Taking a "redemption" approach to "improve" is much better than making a mistake and not redeeming yourself.)
The dwarf squad's health remained at 100 for all five members. Loki hadn't cast any spells yet, only actively defending. He had also turned off all his protective skills. Was he afraid his "protective skills" would overwhelm him? A level 600 "high-end mage" from another world—once the battle started, even more dwarves probably wouldn't be a match for him.
Wow! A critical hit! Dwarf Mona, Captain 911, unleashed a series of powerful attacks; the skills were incredibly tricky, were they trying to hit Loki's vitals?
Loki had no choice but to try a light "normal attack".
The power of a "normal attack" can be controlled. The higher the hero's level, the more control they have. What is the damage of the basic attack from the Artifact of the Creator? The data shows it's still a mystery; Loki is intentionally concealing it. He uses internal force to control it freely. It feels even more strenuous than throwing it with full force.
Loki had to do it. "What if I accidentally kill them before making a decision? Will I regret it?" Having experienced many things in the expansion, Loki was already mature enough. Bullying the weak, the strong oppressing the weak, and abusing monsters were no longer his style. This was consistent with "Dark" in Kevin Garney (level 2 map). The former Darkbringer, cold-blooded Dark, was also not enthusiastic about abusing monsters, especially low-level monsters and heroes. (Except for the "Barbarian King Incident"! The rebel hero faction had many "bloodthirsty berserkers," while Dark was relatively "gentle"; at this stage, he had no right to judge good or bad.)
"NO! Keep attacking! He's almost done for!!" The dwarf captain Mona 911, seeing that Loki "doesn't know martial arts," became even more arrogant.
Did Mona 911, the dwarf, also have his doubts?
"Is he really that powerful? We've almost broken through his defenses (Note: the enemy's protective shield is invisible; his true form is visible)."
"Self-deception" is a common "monetization skill" used by players offline to describe mindless behavior; online, it seems the same applies. "Synchronization" means maintaining consistency; no one would actively doubt their own strength or weakness. ...Evaluation and "fortune telling"; "paid" per session.
The fierce battle has been going on for an hour. When Loki's health drops to 99, it will automatically recover to full. When it drops to around 97, Loki is clearly backing down.
"Are you going to fight for ages?" Loki was getting a little impatient. He wasn't losing any health, but the dwarves seemed completely oblivious to what was happening.
"Does he really have to force me to give in?" Loki thought to himself, but didn't say it aloud.
"Stop fighting! Stop fighting! You foolish dwarves! He really is Loki the Frost Mage!" Among the onlookers were many clear-headed heroes, as well as heroes of high character. And quite a few heroes who had seen the world.
"......"
"STOP"
"The dwarf captain Mona 911 shouted!" A casual remark from a bystander (a troll mage) finally brought him to his senses.
The dwarf squad quickly sheathed their weapons and bowed in gratitude for their mercy. Mona 911 was the first to bow. They didn't kneel because ordinary heroes have dignity. They generally don't kneel unless in special circumstances. They widely believe that "a man's knees are worth gold." This is an ancient tradition.
"Alright, now you believe me. I'm off, bye-bye." With that, Loki prepared to slip away; he didn't want to argue with the dwarves anymore.
"Wait! Merciful Archmage Loki, how about we make compensation? We are willing to compensate you. It was our fault for being 'red-named' in the first place!! Sorry!" The dwarf captain realized his mistake.
"Alright then! How about I send you a quest?"
Loki was just saying it casually; he knew he couldn't actually send it, he just wanted to make an excuse.
"Understood! Please, Archmage Loki!!" The five-man dwarf squad listened attentively, ready to accept the mission.
"Ahem (clears throat), uh, well then, please go to the Plains of Bitterness (818211) and continue fighting, and donate all the high-level 'Dull THE9' (high-grade drops) you obtain to me. I will remember you!"
Loki was really just saying it casually; he didn't think too much about it.
Suddenly, a common quest with a golden exclamation mark appeared miraculously?!
Loki and the ordinary heroes and the dwarf hero team present were all extremely surprised. They never expected that the Archmage Loki (FS) could...?
