Dark Eldar
32. Ludal's Recruitment Letter
The Void Fortress, lacking a rebel leader, did not descend into chaos; on the contrary, "order" became even more well-organized.
The homeless have settled here in peace and prosperity. Rebel troops have set up recruitment booths on the streets to enlist new soldiers!
Wanderers, hooligans, thugs, unemployed individuals, and deserters form the backbone of the rebel army, and among them are even "Dark Soldiers"! (Dark Soldiers are level 5 and can fly and become invisible.)
Why flee? The reason is the same as the recent "Delsa" battle. There are probably already dozens of deserters there. If Viktor really dies, those dark soldiers will probably be "free," since some of them were transformed from centaurs or orcs in their previous lives...
"Welcome, young man!" several veterans who looked like "vagrants" shouted to Benjamin VI! They mistakenly thought Benjamin was also a "vagrant" or "unemployed man"?
Benjamin was curious. Wanting to find out, he lightly stepped closer and looked at the notice board:
"(General) Justice has long been lost! The forces of darkness are constantly devouring your soul. What will you do? Let them bully you? Have you thought it through? Are you sure you really want to just let things slide? No! Never! Now I, Ludar, have decided to change everyone's fate! Today's weakness will not make you strong! Only by joining us! The ranks of the rebels! Can you become strong! Wandering elites! I know you can do it! I know you're a formidable fighter! Join us! The rewards are plentiful! Remember! The rewards are plentiful!!"
This highly inflammatory "recruitment notice" was Ludal's masterpiece. He used this notice to recruit bounty hunters and seductresses. The Barbarian King and the Slayer were personally recruited by Ludal. Their rewards and benefits were dozens of times higher than those of ordinary soldiers, even more. After all, they were "core members."
Benjamin thought, "Although there are obvious imperfections and flaws, I can give it a try. Besides, with my current abilities, no one can do anything to me!" (Benjamin seemed to overestimate himself.)
"Big brother, big brother! Can I participate? I have blue gear!" Benjamin asked politely, pointing to the notice.
"Of course, anyone can join! There are no equipment restrictions, even if you're naked, it's fine! Hahahaha! Remember! The entry requirements are very low! There are no entry requirements! Hahahaha!" A "wanderer" sitting next to him laughed wildly. His state was not very stable; occasionally he would become "turbid" for a moment, then return to being human in half a second. ... (Wanderers are a special form of "half-human, half-ghost." No one knows where they come from, nor do they know their specific attributes. Even the elders of the "other world" cannot say for sure, only that they are as ancient as the ancestors, and their numbers are vast, with the vast majority remaining neutral.)
"You don't look like a vagrant. Or are you on drugs?" asked another "slacker" sitting at the recruitment booth. (Slacker: a small number of humans or other races who make mistakes and show no remorse.)
"I'm a delinquent!" Benjamin said modestly, implying that he was also somewhat of a scoundrel.
"Why don't you have any tattoos on your arms?" the thug asked suspiciously.
"Look, I have a dragon on my chest!" Benjamin said, pulling open his "Archer's Gown" to show the two men. (Fine Leather Armor; Blue, Level 5)
Sure enough, a "black dragon" appeared incredibly lifelike! (Note: Points of doubt)
"That tattoo looks great! Where did you get it done?" the wanderer asked, intrigued.
"Let's get down to business!" Benjamin reminded him.
「咳!嗯!每月1金币,每杀一个敌人奖1金币!怎幺样?非常棒吧?」游蕩者问。(1金币=100银币;1银币=100铜币)
"That's it?" Benjamin scratched his head.
"Hmm. Also, if you can kill two more, you'll get an extra 4 gold coins, but we'll each get a 1 gold coin bonus. Do you agree?" the scoundrel added.
"I agree!" Benjamin replied.
"Welcome!" the vagrant said, quickly registering Benjamin and presenting him with a certificate and badge. He then told Benjamin to report to the 17th Regiment in the backstreet.
Throughout this process, no one cared about Benjamin VI's background, his profession—archer or mage? They were more concerned with the pay and the share of the profits.
