Back when Loki was still Elder Joseph's "disciple" (not yet formally apprenticed), he had heard of the extraordinary dimensional magic of the Eastern Archmage "Elder Sun Yun," and his "time magic," which was said to be able to "reverse time and space." Only after Edward III learned it did Loki understand its mysteries. He had originally intended to steal the knowledge, but after understanding the "principle" (that cause and effect are irreversible), he gave up.

After Elder Joseph's sudden disappearance, Schopenhauer entrusted Loki to Elder Sun Yun. This was entirely Schopenhauer's own decision. He didn't want to teach Loki, believing Loki was merely "diligent," with initial attributes far inferior to those of Edward III and Benjamin VI. As it turned out, Schopenhauer was mistaken.
