Dark Eldar

179 Elisa's Inspiration

"Elisa, this is all the way for me. The wagon can't get through the thorny thickets ahead!" Uncle Rum the dwarf said with a shrug. He was now sober, his eyes wide and round.

"Okay, which way should I go?" Elisa asked timidly.

"Remember, little sister, head south! If it's cloudy, remember to take shelter from the rain, and don't go the wrong way!" the dwarf uncle instructed. Although he was an ordinary early settler, he still possessed basic survival skills.

"Well, okay! Thank you anyway!" Elisa said politely. The money had already been paid.

"Yes! Giddy up!" The dwarf uncle turned the carriage around and headed back to the city.

The beautiful young woman, Elisa, was left all alone, staring at the "Thorn Jungle" (green, level 30, neutral) ahead, feeling a little scared.

"It's getting late, I need to find a place to rest!" Elisa muttered to herself.

Elisa didn't head directly south; instead, she wandered around looking for a dry, sheltered spot to "sleep outdoors."

Elisa found a secluded cave. She spread out her bedding, ate some fried dough, and prepared to rest. After lying down, Elisa took out a map and examined it carefully.

"Uncle Rum from the dwarf tribe is right. We'll be out of town in 10 kilometers! We need to get up early tomorrow and set off first thing in the morning!"

Elisa fell asleep quickly. She wasn't too worried about the "pervert." Yundar was sparsely populated; if anyone dared to "do evil," a wanted poster would soon be posted on the bulletin board.

Night fell, and a cold wind swept across the wilderness! Elisa curled up and continued to rest.

She had a dream. "I dreamt I was fighting a little devil, accidentally using the wrong skill, and quickly switching back. Then I attacked the little devil with basic attacks, but he wouldn't back down and used 'Invincible Body' against Elisa. Elisa kept attacking him... After a long stalemate, the little devil seemed to get tired and started spouting nonsense (a demon family transformation spell). Thick smoke blocked Elisa's vision, and when she finally saw the enemy clearly, she was so frightened that she fell to the ground, her exquisite wand breaking. Elisa was filled with regret! 'Oh no! That's Elaine's item! How am I going to explain this?' '¥...¥ampamp' The troll was speaking in a language no one could understand, seemingly mocking Elisa! Elisa wouldn't give up and charged forward with all her might! She grabbed his leg, wanting to die with the troll. Elisa didn't know why, but she suddenly possessed a magic that could kill even the most powerful enemy? 'Corpse Demon Seal,' a level 300 demon race special skill..."

The birdsong woke Elisa in the early morning. Elisa rubbed her eyes. "What a strange dream!" she said.

"Hmm! Maybe this is how I'll fight from now on!" Elisa was still thinking about last night's "fierce battle" as she packed her backpack! Although the "form" was quite similar to Loki's "Soul Wandering," "dreams" and "wandering" are completely different things... If you had to find a common point, it's probably that both are done in a state of blurred consciousness... ("Soul Wandering," a level 70 limited skill, is an extremely high-risk "quick skill." Some of the elders from other worlds haven't unlocked it, and most of them are hesitant to use it... because in the wandering state, the physical body is weakened. The danger factor is high, and resurrection requires "authorization" from another world. What if it fails? Then all previous efforts will be "reduced to ashes"...)

The thorns pricked Alyssa, and she quickly used a bandage to stop the bleeding. Everyone knows how to use a "basic bandage," especially priests on the battlefield. To conserve mana, they'll bandage themselves during combat instead of using healing spells.

"Once you're in, it's hard to get out..." Elisa was trapped in the thorny thicket. With every small step she took, she had to break or bend several thorny vines. Occasionally, she'd slip! Elisa would be pricked by the rebounding thorns! "Ouch!" Elisa screamed! She was pricked again. Her clothes were also torn...

Note: "Order" always restricts members who haven't recharged their accounts, as they don't like members wandering around aimlessly! The "Thorn Jungle" appears to be caused by unchecked growth, but without "nourishment" from Order, thorns alone cannot block the way. An endless thorn jungle (level 30). Elisa is in danger! She might die here!

"Could it be...? Could it be that I sent a distress signal to Sister Elaine before I even left Yundar??" Elisa braced herself against the thick vine and continued forward. She had just been pricked several times, but thankfully the pain wasn't so bad anymore!

Fortunately, the "obstacles" in this low-level map are non-toxic; if they had the "paralyzing" attribute, Elisa would have already collapsed.

In the narrow crevice, the frail Alyssa hunched over (a fat person definitely couldn't fit!), continuing to apply bandages. When things got really bad (her health dropped below 50), Alyssa used spells to heal herself (Minor Heal). Her mana wasn't running too low; she didn't dare use "Power Word: Shield." "Shield Ball" drained mana quickly. Alyssa had to conserve her mana.

Elisa thought, "I'll send a signal to Elaine at the very last moment!"

And so, "One step, two steps, three steps, four steps..." Alyssa's breathing quickened. She opened the mini-map to check her location, seemingly able to feel her "cursor" moving, even though she was moving very slowly, "it's almost slower than crawling!"

Halfway there, Alyssa shielded her eyes from the sun and peered out! She seemed to be able to see the edge of the thorny thicket. "Come on! Alyssa! You can do it! You have to believe in yourself! The path of a priest must be based on yourself! Don't keep thinking about the big red potion in your backpack, that's not for now!!" Alyssa encouraged herself.
