Dark Eldar
177 Healing Magic
Elisa often visits Uncle Demar (this is kept secret). Also visiting is her mentor, High Priest Elaine.
"Sister Elaine, is Uncle feeling better? I brought some vegetables," Elisa said.
"Thank you, Elisa. He's still the same, unconscious. You came by carriage, didn't you?" Elaine asked with concern.
"Yes, that's right, sister. The journey was quite smooth today; we didn't encounter any bandits," Alyssa said with a smile. Last time she came, she encountered a bandit monster (level 21). In the chaos, Elaine cast a "shield" on the coachman and even used Holy Light to subdue them. Alyssa is now level 25. She can take the junior priest exam. (Anyone level 20 or above can register for the "Junior Magic Certification Qualification Exam" in this world; not an apprentice).
Besides visiting, she also wanted to discuss what she had learned with her teacher to see what areas needed improvement. Although Elisa was progressing quickly, she lacked combat experience.
"Elisa, I have a suggestion. Why don't you go home and prepare? I specially made a 'Gathering Stone' for you to use. Don't rush to get certified in the other world yet; I heard it's quite strict there. Even the way you cast spells must follow the standards of a junior priest's training, but what I'm teaching you is the most efficient and concise method! If you rush there rashly, you might be eliminated!" Elaine said as she toasted cornbread (a beginner's cooking recipe). She would later use alchemy to process the cornbread into "medicine" to replenish her father's energy.
Elisa also helped out in the kitchen, washing dishes and chopping vegetables.
"I don't know what kind of exam you junior priests take in this other world? If you were from Kevin Garnier, you could easily buy an intermediate healing book with a little money! But your identity is from another world, so your ID isn't universal. And I wouldn't dare to take it upon myself to send it to you! You know Kevin Garnier is fraught with danger!" Elaine's cooking movements were as skillful as her alchemy. She finished in just a few minutes.
"It smells alright, you can try some too!"
"It's delicious! Great!" Elisa exclaimed.
"Why don't you sit on the sofa in the living room and wait a bit? I'll be right back. If you're really bored, you could go check on the cow for me. I haven't milked it for several days, please don't laugh at me, I... I'm not very good at that. Are you interested?" Elaine asked tentatively.
"Okay, sister, you go ahead with your work! I'll go outside and take a look. When I was little, my family raised cows, and I milked them. It's not difficult..." Alyssa came from a farming family. The cows she mentioned were actually kept by her neighbor. Alyssa didn't drink much milk as a child.
Elaine went to her bedroom to busy herself. Her work was quite demanding; on one hand, she had to carefully care for and look after her father. On the other hand, she couldn't abandon the "advanced alchemy" in her laboratory! If the "virus strain" inside grew rapidly, the entire Yundar map could become "hell"! The devastation was unbearable, and she couldn't afford to be careless.
The cow in the barn outside was very docile. When it saw the pretty girl coming to help it, it obediently stayed still. (Note: Various "animals" are theoretically devoid of thought and emotion. Cats and dogs are common pets and may be "more affectionate." Other creatures, such as "snakes," remain cold-blooded and highly venomous! Some have been demonized into "deadly weapons.")
Elisa carried a full bucket of milk back to the living room. She placed the milk in the kitchen's "refrigerator." The refrigerator was built by Pastor Elaine, using magical reagents to maintain a consistently low temperature. Elisa washed her hands and sat on the living room sofa. Seeing that her sister Elaine wasn't finished, she went outside to practice her skills.
Four hours later.
"What a hardworking young lady!" Reverend Elaine praised.
"Sister, are you done with your work? Is my waving posture correct?" Elisa asked boldly.
"That's fine. We usually just need to heal quickly, and the technique? You can wave your wand however you like. There aren't that many rules!" Elaine said. Her teaching style is usually conducted in a relaxed environment. She has about 50 students, and they all have a good relationship with her! If Elaine were to gather all her students together? She could form a team, a "healing team." Without epic battles, there's no need to form a "medical team"...
"Elisa, here, take this bag. There are 50 vials of potions inside. Don't unfold them; just store them in your backpack like one item. Save space! You'll definitely need them someday. Take them with you as backup. It seems I can't come with you. Look at Uncle Demar, sigh, I can't leave," Elaine explained.
"Thank you! Don't worry, sister, I'll take good care of myself. Besides, I've already mastered the shield-giving technique, haven't I?" Alyssa said with a smile. Her backpack still had eight slots; Elaine was worried that using a large backpack would make her "burdened." (A backpack isn't necessarily better the bigger it is; it must match her level. If the "burden" is too great, it will affect her combat power!)
"Take this summoning stone. Your inventory is small! I won't give you any more gold coins. You'll feel guilty. I have plenty of medicine, everything you need! You don't need to buy it. And this summoning stone, I made it myself. Consider it a gift from your master! (I also gave you a blue staff earlier.)" Elaine said affectionately to her apprentice. She really wanted to help her more, but she had recently suffered a tremendous blow... Elaine sometimes felt "desperate," but she quickly readjusted her mindset and bravely faced all challenges. This was also a "good quality" that a high-ranking priest should possess. (The "Order" has long recognized this. "Mental illness" is also categorized as an illness. It needs to be "dispelled"!! Because the Order discovered that some people, even with normal "health" and "mana," can still be infected with a "virus," scientifically known as [BUG], which is a [electronic virus]. Since this alternate world certainly doesn't allow BUGs, the Order slightly increased the priests' privileges, allowing them to heal "mental illnesses," and added common and effective healing skills such as "chatting," "listening," and "persuasion." These are advanced hidden skills that require no skill points or enhancements...)
