Dark Eldar

Yundar's territory consists of vast plains interspersed with occasional mountain ranges. Mount Fratjof is one such range. Further south lies a freshwater river, which Loki didn't reach; he first arrived at a "basic fortress." (A fortress and a stronghold function similarly, one built on land, the other in the air.)

"French Restaurant" is located in the fortress's market area and is considered a local landmark. Unlike other restaurants, it is guarded by human soldiers at the entrance.

"Is the hotel guarded? Is it perhaps a hotel exclusively for the local nobility? Will they refuse us entry?"

After hesitating for a moment, Loki remembered an old Eastern proverb: "Money makes the world go round."

So Loki swaggered in, ready to have his meal.

"Hello, sir, please show me your Fraser resident card." Loki was stopped by the guard.

"I forgot to bring it." Loki made an excuse, pretending to be nonchalant, while secretly handing the guard two cloud coins he had prepared in advance.

The guards lowered their guard when they saw that the young man was dressed in a suit and looked quite like an aristocrat.

"Please come in!" They let us through.

Loki thought: Money can't be spent in a hundred ways, so why not take this opportunity to get everything done?

Loki then pretended to ask, "A relative of mine is coming here soon. Could you please help me get a Yundar resident permit or something like that in advance? As for the fee? You two can name your price, and I'll pay you whatever you want."

"5, no! 8! No! How about 10 cloud coins?" The greedy guard kept changing his mind.

Loki paid the deposit as agreed. Guided by a waiter, he entered the restaurant with an air of refinement.

It was afternoon, not yet dinner time. Yundar Western Restaurant wasn't very crowded.

The Western restaurant was exquisitely decorated, exuding wealth, which seemed quite out of place compared to the barren grasslands of Yundar. Loki chose a seat on a two-seater sofa.

"Would you like to order, sir?" the waiter said, handing the menu to Loki.

"let me see!"

Loki hadn't had a proper chef's cooking in a long time.

"A bottle of Pérignon (5-season), and a bottle of Van Derby red wine, please!"

"Okay, please wait a moment. Would you like to try our signature Fraser wheat tea as usual?"

"Okay, thank you. This is for you." Loki also gave him a 1 cloud coin tip.

Loki was a little thirsty, so he took a sip of wheat tea. It tasted alright, with a faint wheat aroma. The last time he drank water was at the foot of the mountain outside the city.

The menu just showed that even the best steak costs only 2 Cloud Coins. The filet mignon that Loki ordered is of medium quality, costing only 0.5 Cloud Coins. The red wine costs 1.3 Cloud Coins.

The filet mignon was cooked quickly, and the waiter even carefully flipped the fried egg on Loki's plate, sprinkling it with salt and pepper and black pepper sauce. Actually, Loki prefers it a little rare and less salty. Seeing how enthusiastic the waiter was, he felt bad refusing.
