"Kent has fallen! Our Beetle Guard Captain has fallen! His weapon, the Invincible Beetle Shield (blue, level 55), has been looted by the enemy. His name was Karon, and he was half-human!" reported the Zerg signalman, the Centipede! (Kevin Garnier's Zerg leveling system differs slightly from the alternate world, but the overall difference is no more than 15 levels.)

"Karon? He was just a strongman?? How could he defeat our invincible 'Atar'!" A familiar voice came from above the Zerg nest (171223). It was Mana, the one who was suspected to be the "Prophet".

"0¥832O" is the Zerg language.

"Stop whispering! Have you forgotten how to speak Common Tongue?" Mana said. He seemed to hold a rather high position in this lair. His appearance had now reverted to that of a "half-human." For some reason... could he possibly transform?

"Excuse me, Lord Mana, we wish to select a more powerful general to deploy in the next city!" said Zulun (Level 77, not proficient in Common), a high-ranking Zerg Queen. He was enormous! Several times the size of the golden Queen that had been roaming before him. His entire body was covered in a viscous liquid, and the half-human Mana stood far away, afraid of being stuck to Zulun's secretions.

"Heh, Zulun, who could be more suitable than you! But I don't want you to die. You don't understand the enemy's strength. Even if the King comes, I think..." Mana didn't finish his sentence. He was still quite cautious. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been mistaken for a "suspected prophet."

"My lord! You want me to go there? I can eat people at will there." Elite Zulun was unconvinced. He believed that he was still the boss of this area! No one dared to provoke him.

"Eating people?? These are all formidable characters! Mages!! Mages!! Do you understand??? You insect, do you even know magic??? Do you know what a shadow strike is??? Do you understand??? You eat him, and he casts a spell inside your stomach, a magic explosion! You're finished!! You're OVER??? Do you understand???" Mana roared! He really wanted to teach the Zerg King a lesson; his Zerg army was far too primitive! The enemy opposite possessed advanced magic. Zerg? Even if the giant serpent "Barakas" (level 151, cave creature) came, it would be useless... Even if they could spew poison, they knew how to dispel it and use nature resistance buffs...

"Alright, all of you, step back! Stop being impulsive and putting up futile resistance! Blue Insect Armor Shield?? Kalong??? Our life-saving equipment has been lost, making the enemy stronger. Sigh! Our good days are over! Let me calm down! Let me think about it and see what weaknesses they have left," Mana commanded.

"Chirp chirp chirp chirp!" Although the giant insect Zulun was bulky, it disappeared in just a few seconds after burrowing into the ground.

Seeing that the mother insect had left, the other small insect soldiers and mid-level generals also went their separate ways to "hunt for food."

Beneath the intelligence station, all the metal veins are being relentlessly "eaten" by the Zerg. They don't feed on metal, so is there some kind of conspiracy?

The Barbarian King (Rare Elite, Title: Guardian of Gludin) is living a carefree life in Gludin. In an instant, he became the boss here! To curry favor with him, some villagers boiled eggs and brought them to the square for "blessing," while others cooked some "juicy insect meat" and brought it to the square. Still others brought their private stash of coins and copper coins for "blessing."

The Barbarian King hadn't forced them to do this; the half-humans, orcs, and humans (lower-level villagers) left behind by Gludin were all volunteers. Seeing the Barbarian King's golden staff, his imposing figure, crippled leg, and cold, ruthless face, they were all terrified. They wondered how he would govern the town from now on...

"Hey! Take all of these back! They don't need blessings. Even if they're all dead, these things can't bring them back to life. Besides, I won't make things difficult for anyone. I'm not the same Barbarian King I used to be!" the Barbarian King shouted in the square.

All the villagers were too frightened to come out. They didn't know the "Barbarian King." He was usually a man of few words, with the face of a thug, and everyone was saying that he used to be a "murderous maniac"! ("Murderous Maniac" title: Strength 300, Intelligence 200, Luck 30, almost impossible to get good equipment.)

"Murderous Maniac"? That title used to suit Barbarian King quite well. Now, he doesn't know if he's a good guy or a bad guy anymore. Sometimes he wants to kill Dark! But other times, he just wants to be alone in peace and quiet... (This appears to be a bug caused by altered "parameters," or perhaps some kind of mysterious magic.)

The barbarian king left the square. Seeing that he couldn't persuade the "stubborn" villagers, he gave up. He returned to his quarters. He dared not go to the council chamber; he was afraid of soiling the floor. Before leaving, Ludal had given the barbarian king a meaningful look. The barbarian king "understood." He dared not drink, dared not indulge himself, and stayed obediently in his quarters, or went to the square to practice his axe, honing his skills.

The Barbarian King couldn't sleep at night. He didn't care whether Luddar and his men won or not; he only cared about himself. The Barbarian King polished his weapon, his golden staff (level 39). This staff was made of pure gold, a green "golden staff." (The Barbarian King carries two two-handed weapons.)

The golden cane was far too conspicuous! He wrapped it in a thick layer of waxed paper. The barbarian king disliked flaunting his wealth. He only used this cane to walk.

"Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!" The barbarian king arrived at the square for "inspection".

He noticed the "eggs," "meat," and "broken copper coins" on the platform were untouched. He approached and picked them all up, filling his backpack to the brim. Back in his dormitory, he took the items out and neatly arranged them. Only then did he feel relieved.

"It's much better to accept favors than to refuse them," the barbarian king muttered to himself.
