Dark Eldar

128. The "Shadow" of Dac

The town of Grudin in Kevin Garnier. Reconstruction work is proceeding smoothly. The faces of both soldiers and civilians are filled with the joy of victory! (Great Harvest)

Countless "hard bones," "thick skin," "rough hide," "spiky keratin" (alchemy), "venom," and "tender, inedible flesh," along with the occasional "coin stained with the stench of money," would be snapped up at any auction house in another world. Unfortunately, Kevin Garnier doesn't have an auction house, or more accurately, Gludin Castle isn't connected to one. (Magic Link, a mid-level spell requiring a large amount of "fiber" material)

Initially, the auction houses in this other world were not synchronized. It was only through the combined efforts of several generations of elder mages that the "market flourished"! That was a revolutionary advancement! Their deeds are still recorded in the Hall of Glory of this other world, written into "textbooks" for the ancestors to admire and respect for generations to come. Some ancestors called it "science," but it was quickly reorganized by the "magic system" and categorized under the elemental system. Due to its relatively weak practical combat ability, it was never given much importance!

In Gludin, Ludal continued to direct everyone to collect the loot in an orderly manner, with villagers also helping out, distributing it "as needed." The villagers were able to receive "loot," causing Lord Dark's reputation to quickly reach "Exalted."

"Hmm, not bad! An interesting battle!" Dark sneered from the shadows. He dared not show himself yet, fearing a sudden appearance of a boss, especially since the enemies in the early stages had provided too much wealth.

The boss, the undead commander Mitchellsa (level 70), was barely persuaded by the half-human Mana. He hesitated repeatedly, unwilling to admit defeat! However, in the end, Mana produced a secret letter from a "big shot," and they chose to "remain hidden." (This battle was a defeat, but it still counts as a Zerg victory; the undead army's undefeated record remains unaffected.)

Dark disdains the undead. He's far more interested in things like the "Undead Battle Axe" and the "Undead Necklace." Partly to bring these back to the other world to sell for money, Dark knows he must break free from Old Demar's control! He wants more troops, like the eight great commanders, to have more "power." (Secret: Dark might want to "monopolize" Kevin Garney.)

The elven princes, Ilette and Eliza, returned to their camp early. Pick up loot? NO! Elves are a universally acknowledged noble race; were it not for the sheer number of insects, they wouldn't even bother to soil their weapons and "exquisite" armor. (Elf Set)

The elves didn't want their soldiers to clean the armor either. Because every hero's equipment was "soulbound"! Sacred and inviolable!! Even though it was bound to their armor, most heroes didn't want others to touch it casually.

"I'm so tired! Give me a shoulder massage, brother!" After cleaning the equipment, Eliza carefully put it back in her backpack. She changed into a dry dress and lay down on the bed, acting all cute.

"Okay, Lisa, I suggest you find someone you like soon. Enal is pretty good (elf mage, level 63), and you two get along well. I think then, this chore will be taken over. Haha!" Iret said with a laugh. Despite his somewhat volatile temper (hereditary), he was always gentle with his sister.

The next morning. Lord Dark ordered the "combat mode" to be deactivated! His cautious nature was evident. Ludar rushed to him, ready to report the battle losses as usual. Dark excused him. Dark turned his back, looked out the window, and said sternly, "Ludar, from now on, avoid such detailed work. Focus your energy on important matters! You participated in the battle too. Our casualties were all idiots; let them go. No need to record or report them. A few more or less doesn't matter. The enemy's dead larvae were clearly their suicide squad. They actually used such a low-level method to test us? It's an insult to our combat strength! From now on, no more reports of casualties among soldiers below level 40. War always results in death. We don't have otherworldly priests here. If they don't want to die, they'd better level up quickly! I want you to tell them, first, we are not merchants! Second, if any soldier dares to hoard 'spoils of war,' I won't be polite! That's all. Go now! I'm tired..."

Ludar nodded and backed out. His first thought was that Dak had become arrogant, and he dared not be negligent! Immediately afterward, he edited and posted the announcement (pinned):

"Warning! All Zerg-related items are prohibited from being found in the backpacks of any Gludin soldiers. All looted items must be deposited into the Gludin Guild Warehouse! Each soldier's DKP will be calculated based on the deposited amount. Anyone who violates this rule will be executed! Note: Villagers are exempt!"

The soldiers murmured amongst themselves, some complaining (to the orcs): "Gurata (barbarian language)! Why should we hand over what we hunted ourselves?"

The words had barely left his lips when Dark's Shadow Bolt severed the orc soldier's head. Blood gushed forth... The entire plaza fell silent! (Orc soldier, drops large quantities of "fur" and "copper-stained coins," alchemy and enchanted items)

"I hate nagging!" Dark said this and left.

Seeing this, the people dared not pick up too much, especially the "coins stained with the stench of money"! They quietly took them from their pockets and threw them aside, fearing for their lives and even more afraid to diminish their "worship and gratitude" for Dark. In short, after the battle, the entire town of Gludin was shrouded in the "shadow" of the dark messenger Dark.
