Dark Eldar

119 Eternal Peace

Time in the world is in a state of relative synchronization. (Local latency; global latency; frame rate)

There is also magic that adjusts the "clock hand." That requires a "magic circle barrier," a highly difficult "team magic" skill. It's used very rarely; if no one mentions it, it could be considered a lost "secret technique."

Kevin Garnier, the Zerg's attack frequency has not decreased. The Barbarian King is sweating profusely from exhaustion. Although it feels good to fight low-level monsters, no one can withstand it if the attacks continue indefinitely.

Ludall stared worriedly at the hill of dead insects. (The bodies remained uncollected.)

The banks and warehouses of Gludin City were overflowing, piled high with countless materials like hair, leather, and insect eyeballs near the safe zone. The hardworking villagers weren't idle either; the older villagers naively thought it was going to be a bumper harvest. And it's understandable—who gets to see so many insects fall in their lifetime? Even if they bought 10 at 1 copper coin, the villagers' "loot" secretly hidden in the safe zone could fetch a few gold coins. Unfortunately, prices fluctuate. Originally, 1 copper coin bought 10 pieces of leather; now it's 200 for 1 copper coin. The villagers are always the weaker party, passively accepting whatever comes their way...

Dark watched the insects' frenzied attack and was starting to lose his composure.

"Do I really have to take action myself?" Dark asked himself.

His extensive combat experience taught him one thing: "While it might be fast to clear out the monsters, all my hard work will be for naught when the real boss appears later..."

Dark's overthinking was correct. According to the tenacious human mage Markars's secret calculations, there were still less than 50 waves of mobs left, with a total estimated number of waves at 300. The older Markars seemed to have experienced similar events before. For some reason, Markars was conserving his energy, silently attacking the monsters with his blue scout staff. Was he observing the situation? Was he not speaking unless he was absolutely certain?

Not far away, at the highest point of the pile of corpses, the elven siblings maintained a steady output. "Standard attacks" were a fundamental skill for classes like warriors, assassins, and paladins. No rage, courage, or energy was wasted. The elven warrior intentionally controlled the pace. Killing too quickly meant retreating quickly; the wormhole tunnel stopped expanding, and Irete and Eliza could sense that there weren't many small worms left. Their experience points didn't increase (grayed out), but they gained combat experience against the worms (hidden). In all the known maps of this other world, the worms were insignificant, at most evolving into large insect monsters. (The other world absolutely forbids the appearance of worms! Mainly for fear of consuming "resources").

Time passed quickly, and night fell, plunging the battlefield into darkness. The insects were dying at a slightly slower pace. Ludar yawned repeatedly; despite his high rank, he couldn't stand idly by, and he was tired of fighting. He preferred commanding to participating in the battle.

Sure enough! Just when everyone was most relaxed, a new situation arose!!

"Buzz!" "Buzz!"

Winged flying insects descended from the sky, all in perfect unison, level 30, werep monsters!!! (Giant)

"Activate the shields! Watch out for the poison needles! Fire upwards! Ignore what's below! Heal! Use mana potions! Quickly!" Ludar shouted, issuing the city's defense orders! Faced with the Zerg's two-pronged attack, he didn't hesitate to kill the ones in the sky first!

"Take a break! Bandage yourself! Replenish your buffs! Watch me!" Dark felt the time was right. He unleashed Dark Wave (AoE damage)! It annihilated all the confident bees in the sky!!!

The bees seemed to have never seen such formidable creatures before; they died so quickly that their optic nerves were still functioning... Their corpses fell from mid-air, some even kicking their legs covered in dense, tiny barbs.

Green gear starts dropping at level 30, and if you're lucky, you might even find a "Bee Sting"! (Blue, level 18, poisonous dagger)

Some villagers from the safe zone actually risked their lives to come to the square to loot?! After being stung by the pile of corpse worms and the barely alive, bloodied worms, they didn't even have time to bandage themselves and died instantly.

Upon seeing this, the elf prince Irete felt sorry for their lives. He kindly returned the greedy villagers' bodies to the safe zone.

"Waaaaah~~" (crying sound)

"You have no profession, what use is a blue dagger to you?" Irete asked the wife of the dead villager curiously. Having never seen the world, and having lived a carefree life on "Mysterious Island" since childhood, Irete was utterly perplexed by the phenomenon of people losing their lives for a "broken dagger."

"What could be more precious than life?" asked Irete, a lover of nature.

"......"

The nameless villager's wife offered no explanation; perhaps it was a question that could never be answered. If anyone could answer it, the world would surely enjoy "eternal peace."
