Dark Eldar
103 The Sword of the Wind Whisperer
"Youthful days are long, yet today you're doing nothing. Suddenly one day you realize ten years have passed, and no one told you when to start. Oh! You missed the starting gun... Plans always end up as nothing, or as a hastily written half-page. Living in quiet despair, that's the way of the Heinerville people (half-humans). Time has passed, the song has ended, but you always feel like you still have something to say." —Otherworldly Rules 113.6
Kevin Garni, Gludin City. The soldiers rise early and sleep early each day, placing high hopes on their new lord, Dark. (Respect)
"Ludal, please broadcast the recent developments (Note: This will be updated on the notice board in the square later)." Dak sat on the city lord's throne, scrutinizing each of the Gludin "officials".
Most of them were "one of their own." They included: the Barbarian King (main warrior), the Elf siblings Iret (commanders), the Slayer (commander), and the Enchantress (harem steward). After Gludin's harem disbanded, the city lord's wife, palace maids, and others were all organized into female soldiers, levels 1-5, leveling up by hunting nearby wild boars. Initially, the Enchantress was quite annoyed by the spoiled banshees; some human girls even threw tantrums, but she managed to discipline them. She often told them about her past "experiences"—some true, some fabricated. The female soldiers gradually developed a liking for her. After all, among them, the palace maids and servants, were previously slaves, but now, although they were female soldiers, their status was that of "free people"! No one dared to despise them anymore...
Bounty hunters don't have official positions; after all, they're only interested in "money" (a defining characteristic of their profession). It's a pity these two bounty hunters had the opportunity to make money in the new map, Kevin Garnier (due to the rising value of metals)! But they had deposited all their gold (5000G) in the bank of the "Void Fortress"... They were incredibly stingy... If they had carried gold and silver coins, they might have been able to buy many skill books, tranquility scrolls, and marrow-cleansing potions at Gludin's General Store (especially intermediate assassin skill books, which are highly sought after in the Otherworldly Auction House!). Of course, they might have been taken by Ludar and Dark. This is why they preferred to die without carrying a single penny...
The DK Legion remains independent; at most, they assist the blacksmiths in the city by upgrading the weapons of their high-ranking soldiers (the calculation method for "high-ranking soldiers" in Gludin differs from that in "Otherworld," dividing them into 30 levels). Most high-ranking soldiers have already transitioned from white to green weapons. Blue and purple weapons are not yet available; they only exist within the DK Legion and weapon shops (intermediate level).
Sergeant Major Kargo Bloodrage, an orc, remained silent, staring blankly at everyone, eagerly awaiting the arrival of war. Dark had given up on this "Berserker." He had only used him for ceremonial reasons and the reputation system; he needed to reach "Exalted" status before daring to send troops! A Kargo orc (formerly a Warlord) contributed 500 reputation points to Gludin. If this "daydreaming" orc officer were dismissed, the reputation loss would be enormous.
Ludar's reports were incredibly detailed and tedious, leaving him with a dry throat. Sometimes he wondered, "Why am I here, in such a strange city, in a position akin to a nanny or housekeeper? I used to be a leader (a rebel)!" The lengthy reports bored Ludar.
"Gwent has reached level 39, Priss has reached level 22, Warrens has reached level 30, and the female thief Barbara has reached level 35. The enchantments and enhancements of the town's green equipment are as follows: Crocodile Spear +2, Sharp Axe +1, Scout Staff +9.0, and Bayonet Dagger!"
"Stop!! Wait a minute!" Dark suddenly shouted! He seemed absent-minded on the throne, but he was actually still listening attentively.
"Scout Staff? Blue? +9.0? Who's so generous? Even my Death Knights have never had this much added! Is a blue weapon really necessary?" Dark questioned! He knew perfectly well that it was the elf Irete who was deliberately making things difficult.
"I enhanced it; I thought it was necessary, Dark," Irete replied calmly.
"No! You can't have this staff. The other soldiers will definitely complain," Dark asked tentatively.
"Clang!" The hot-blooded young Ilet drew his weapon and assumed a fighting stance! (Wind Whisperer's Greatsword, Purple Level 73)
"You think you can take me on?" Dark said casually, but he was still somewhat wary. "After all, he's a disciple personally trained by the elven elder Izo, so his combat strength should be quite formidable. Besides, his sister is also a warrior, with two 'superior bodies' (also known as protective bodies), making him difficult to deal with."
This time, Eliza didn't stop her brother; she was simply too impatient! She half-drawn the "Elf Wind Whisperer's Sword" (purple, level 77, exclusive to high-level elven warriors; the blade is nearly an inch narrower than the greatsword in Iret's hand, and both swords have the same attributes), intending to join forces with her brother to kill this "arrogant fellow" before them...
