In the apocalypse, my weapons can evolve infinitely.

Chapter 11 Rapidly Improving Shooting Techniques

At 7 a.m., Jiang Xun ate a simple breakfast and then left his residence.

He wasn't sure if it was just his imagination.

It seemed that after she said she was going out, Yang Xiaoai's whole demeanor changed.

She seemed to have something to say, but hesitated and couldn't bring herself to say it.

So the two of them didn't talk to each other for the rest of the time and just ate breakfast quietly.

However, for breakfast today, I had a large bowl of noodles, plus two eggs and two pieces of green vegetables.

In the other person's bowl, there were only a few strands of noodles and a large bowl of noodle soup.

Jiang Xun initially wanted to share some of his noodles with the other party, since his own food, plus the food from the two old men of the Tang family, would be enough to keep him from worrying about food for a while.

But no matter what he said, the woman opposite him stubbornly covered her large bowl, preventing Jiang Xun from spreading the noodles around.

She seemed to be expressing her feelings to Jiang Xun in her clumsy way.

However, he didn't linger. The system was his only trump card and his only way out.

In this bloody and desperate apocalypse, he didn't have many choices.

By 7 a.m., it was already bright outside.

Through the peephole, Jiang Xun observed that the corpses that were originally in the stairwell had all disappeared after being devoured by zombies overnight.

After agreeing on a secret signal with Yang Xiaoai to open the door, he opened it directly and left the house.

Upon stepping outside, a strong stench of blood immediately assaulted Jiang Xun's nostrils, causing him to furrow his brow.

This sudden change in the illusion gave him the feeling of stepping from heaven into hell.

Jiang Xun's expression turned serious, and he quickly tightened the black mask on his face again.

In the blink of an eye, a jet-black slingshot appeared, nocked, and strung.

A steel nail has already appeared on the slingshot.

According to his conception, the zombies' actions must require a certain trigger, so the distribution of zombies throughout the building must form a triangular structure.

In other words, the lower you go, the more zombies there are, and the higher you go, the fewer zombies there are.

Of course, fewer zombies does not necessarily mean greater safety.

The building they were in had 13 floors, and their floor was the 5th floor.

If there are few zombies on the upper levels, then a large number of people must have gone out, and perhaps by now they have formed a certain size and a certain number of groups.

Jiang Xun was still unwilling to directly confront this group, which was purely composed of people.

so.......

He took a light step and slowly walked towards the stairwell.

"roar"

See, not far from Jiang Xun, two zombies are standing on the stairs leading from the 5th to the 6th floor.

The moment Jiang Xun saw the zombie, his eyes narrowed, and he drew his bow and fired.

With a "whoosh," a steel nail shot straight out.

Before the first zombie could even notice the figure behind it, the steel nail fired by Jiang Xun pierced straight into the zombie's skull.

This caused it to suddenly stop in its tracks, and it turned its head in confusion, trying to find the source of the pain in its head.

But what awaited it was yet another steel nail.

Jiang Xun held his breath and fired six steel nails in a row. Only when the system displayed "2/100" did he finally breathe a sigh of relief and stop his continuous actions.

The two dead zombies fell forward together without making much noise.

This put his mind at ease.

Excellent, indeed, with the boost of my own potential, short-range shooting is practically divinely aided.

With the threat of zombies gone, Jiang Xun began to look at the residents on his floor.

Their building has five units per floor. Besides their own unit and the Tang family's unit, two of the other three units still have their doors closed.

He knew nothing about the residents inside, but the door to the other corner unit was wide open.

Jiang Xun knew about this family because at the beginning of the apocalypse, a zombie was the first to climb to the 5th floor and then collapsed in front of their door, whimpering and growling.

The woman inside the house felt sorry for the family and tried to open the door to help them. As a result, all five members of the family were bitten and turned into zombies.

Jiang Xun entered the room and began searching it.

There wasn't much useful stuff in the whole house.

Besides the dried bloodstains covering the walls and floor, there were numerous rotten and spoiled fruits and meats.

After searching for a long time, all that was found, besides a small bag of rice, was that small electric standing walking vehicle.

These vehicles are mostly used by women because they are easy to fold and carry upstairs to charge.

Besides these, there were also phones that had lost battery and several power banks of various sizes.

There weren't many nails in the house; after searching for a long time, Jiang Xun only found about 30.

That's too little; it's completely ineffective.

After reluctantly putting all of the above items into his spatial storage, he left again.

Next is the 6th floor.

Quietly bypassing the corpses, I arrived at the sixth floor, where four surviving zombies were still wandering around.

Seeing this, Jiang Xun quietly retreated, grabbed the two zombie corpses he had killed in the stairwell, and slowly placed them at the exit of the stairwell on the 6th floor.

When the four zombies saw the two zombies lying on the ground, already corpses, their eyes immediately lit up with hunger.

With a low growl, four zombies charged towards the two corpses and pounced on them.

At this moment, Jiang Xun once again increased the distance between them.

He raised his slingshot and aimed it at the head of one of the zombies.

With a "bang," the head of one of the zombies that was desperately tearing at the head exploded rapidly. The body that was originally lying on the corpse seemed to have all its strength drained away in an instant, and quickly collapsed limply.

The other three zombies were initially startled, but were immediately drawn back to the spray of blood and flesh.

Ignoring the unusual noise, they began to feast even more frantically and brutally.

At this moment, Jiang Xun had completely eliminated the fear of zombies in the apocalypse from his mind.

He stood a short distance away and pulled back the slingshot again.

Bullets streaked through the air, taking the lives of all four zombies.

The zombies on the 6th floor were all dealt with at once.

Seeing this, Jiang Xun smiled.

His shooting skills were finally fully developed through continuous practice, but now is not the time to be complacent.

He had used one of his 10 pressurized rounds, and his shooting skills could only maintain accuracy within 10 meters. Facing a target of 100 zombies, he still had a long way to go.

Just as Jiang Xun was lost in thought...

What he didn't know was that his actions had been observed by others.
