Nordic: I Created a Forbidden Land for the Gods

Chapter 69 "Accidentally"

"Stop, something's wrong."

"Walker, this island is guarded by giant beasts. Are you sure it's really under the control of the gods?"

Just as Tang Sen, the general of the Stone Kingdom, was about to make his move, Gina, the female giant leader of the Dark Moon Kingdom, suddenly spoke up to stop him.

Her eyes darted around, and she saw a massive sea serpent, though its expression was human-like and wary, still bravely swimming over when it sensed the fleet's arrival.

As a gatekeeper, this is its duty. However, if it tries to stop them, it might be driven away, or like the prey it hunts, it might be touched by the master's divided soul and "disappear."

Although the opposing fleet was imposing and far more powerful than those on the island, and unlike the goddess who had come before, some of them exuded killing intent.

But there is a goddess on the island now.

Although Jormungandr felt disgusted by the other party's feelings, it vaguely sensed through "perception" that the other party would still take action if necessary.

Gina spoke gently, but since they weren't on the same boat or from the same country, even her advice didn't immediately work.

As the cannon barrels grew increasingly hot, their energy seemingly about to erupt at any moment, Gina's beautiful eyes opened and closed, and the dark moon mark between her brows flickered several times, immediately affecting the crew on the giant stone ship.

The crew members operating the cannons felt a sudden darkness before their eyes, as if they had been blinded and could not see clearly. Their hearts skipped a beat, and they dared not operate the cannons recklessly anymore, stopping what they were doing.

Seeing that he was being interfered with, Tang Sen, who had rough skin, frowned and was about to say something, but the wizard Walker interrupted at the right time, resolving the conflict before it even began.

"It's not true that giant beasts can obey the commands of gods."

"Since there's no sign of an attack, let's go closer and take a look first."

The wizard Walker chuckled as he spoke, subtly glancing at the giant snake with a scrutinizing look in his eyes.

In truth, he didn't even believe what he said, after all, he had been "bewitched" and was extremely wary of Freya's incarnation.

He strongly agrees with the theory of bombarding people with information beforehand, whether there's a specific issue or not.

However, the giant snake's expression was too anthropomorphic and even showed signs of fear, unlike a bewitched snake. Out of caution, after hesitating for a moment, I still stopped it.

Winterfell was, after all, an ally with whom they had a verbal agreement.

The idea that the goddess would appear in her guise was merely King Colin's speculation.

If they don't come, wouldn't the Ice Age Kingdom suffer a huge loss?

"However, the island is likely inhabited by a being that is suspected to be the god Aesir."

"But could the one driving this behemoth truly be a member of their own kind?"

Walker was also unsure.

Winterfell Island, a forest dwelling.

"Looks like we've managed to fool them through the first hurdle."

Neil, holding the magic mirror, noticed that the enemy cannons were not firing, and his tense nerves relaxed slightly.

Even from a distance, the terrifying fluctuations could be sensed here. Winterfell Island would have a hard time withstanding an attack from a mid-stage or higher-level Heroic Spirit.

His main means of attack now is archery. Even if the runes on both sides are of the same level, it is hard to imagine how an arrow would resist artillery fire.

"The evil dragon ship does have cannons, but they were damaged by the thunderstorm. Otherwise, they would have used them during the previous all-out attack."

"I haven't found a way to repair it since I captured it, but if I could capture another ship on the other side..."

Neil's eyes flickered, and his mind suddenly became active.

But that's not what I should be doing right now. Take a deep breath and calm yourself down.

He manipulated the spirit mirror, speaking in a chaotic, overlapping echo to the approaching fleet that had reached a certain distance:

"I had clearly agreed that I would visit in person, but my ally actually came. This is truly a failure to welcome him properly."

"And he brought so many 'friends' with him."

"Never mind, anyway, there's a port to the north, you can dock there first."

The tone was slightly dissatisfied, but this was a normal reaction to the "breach of contract".

Upon hearing these words, the leaders on both sides of the Giant Rock and Dark Moon exchanged glances, looking at Walker and waiting for an explanation.

It wasn't wiped out, which contradicts what was said before.

Furthermore, since you've formed an alliance, why are you dragging both of us into this?

The Three Kingdoms were inherently mutually restraining and hostile, could it be...?

Walker knew what they were thinking without even thinking. His face twitched slightly under his wizard hat, and he quickly spoke in a loud voice, explaining the situation towards Winterfell.

"It's not necessarily true that they weren't wiped out. After all, the gods are all treacherous and cunning, and there's a possibility that they might be pretending to speak."

"It is said that the reason why the progenitor Ymir died was because Odin, the great god of Aesir, played a dirty trick on him."

"Please believe me, we are on the same side."

He spoke again, mentioning the unusual thunderstorm phenomenon, indicating that a naval war was about to break out, and that even if they didn't band together, they would need to help each other to a considerable extent.

Their Ice Age Kingdom wouldn't be so short-sighted, otherwise they might not have survived.

The generals on both sides agreed that this made sense, so they said no more. After exchanging glances, they cautiously led their ships toward the port.

Of course, this was only on the surface, and they did not fully heed the statements of the suspected forces.

As the ships sailed, all three factions secretly made sabotage. Underneath the ships submerged in the sea, openings appeared, and figures swam out, holding their breath as they swam towards the south side of Winterfell Island, in the opposite direction of the directions indicated.

These were clearly hybrid races. Although they were tall, they were relatively short compared to pure-blooded giants, and even shorter compared to the giant ships that could carry pure-blooded giants.

Their size was relatively inconspicuous. Taking advantage of the main force's movement, they launched a feint and landed from the other side to scout out the situation on the island.

Even their allied Ice Age Kingdom only had a superficial understanding of Winterfell Island, and the mystery surrounding one side meant they had the upper hand in the standoff.

If you want to gain the upper hand, then this is a necessary measure.

Although they are hybrids, each of them possesses a profound aura, at least at the half-step into the realm of enlightenment, and some are even at the level of heroic spirits, having once served as pirate captains.

The plan is quite good.

Unfortunately, there are eyes in the sea too.

On the seabed, inconspicuous reefs are covered with fishing nets.

sand!sand!sand!

The giant ship rumbled along, creating huge waves with every step it took, which provided cover for the exploration team. For this reason, all three kingdoms unanimously amplified the commotion.

The mythical ships did not travel slowly; in about two or three minutes, the distance of more than ten kilometers was shortened. They "obediently" headed north and docked at the port.

On the deck, the three leaders appeared calm and composed.

But suddenly, the chaotic, overlapping sounds came again.

"Ladies and gentlemen, during the voyage, you crew members suddenly fell off the ship and drifted to the other side of the island."

"Luckily I discovered it in time, otherwise I might have accidentally killed someone. I hope you will be more careful in the future."

Looking towards the end of the street, several disheveled figures, tightly bound, were being shot down from the sky by arrows.

The expressions of the three leaders of the giant kingdoms froze instantly.
