Wizard: I can predict the future
Chapter 72 Each Makes Their Own Choice
Kyle had just finished his mystical course and was heading towards the cafeteria.
The surrounding crowd was discussing the course content in a lively atmosphere.
But his mind was completely elsewhere.
Instead, it was during the group drug trial in the afternoon.
These past twenty-odd days have been the period in which his strength has improved the fastest since he entered Ash Academy.
A little over a month ago, he managed to construct a mental power model.
At that time, he thought he had finally embarked on the true path of a wizard.
Learn witchcraft, earn magic stones, and become stronger.
He returned to his hometown and saved his sister, who was almost declared dead.
But reality was far crueler than he had imagined.
Only after truly meditating did he realize that his talent was really too poor.
Each meditation session felt like drawing water from the desert; my mental energy could barely be sustained in less than half an hour.
There is almost hope.
Especially when he saw those highly talented apprentices discussing how much they had improved, while he was still practically standing still.
This feeling of powerlessness made him increasingly irritable.
Finally, he took out his accumulated magic stones and bought several bottles of Moonsleep Echo Potion.
The effect is indeed quite good.
The problem is, he simply cannot afford to consume one potion every day.
After that, he would wander around the entire academy in his spare time, hoping to encounter a powerful figure hidden within the academy, just like in the stories.
But, nothing was gained.
Ultimately, Kyle saw the advertisement for the Glimmering Echo Potion.
He was tempted.
And as it turned out, his choice was correct.
After more than twenty days of trying, I could clearly feel the growth in my mental strength.
Most importantly, it did not have the huge side effects that were rumored.
Thinking of this, Kyle couldn't help but smile slightly.
He seemed to already see himself growing stronger little by little in the future.
However, at that moment...
Two figures slowly blocked his way.
Kyle paused slightly and subconsciously looked up.
They were two young men dressed in wizard robes, but they did not carry any academy badges.
One of them looked Kyle up and down and said casually:
"You're Kyle?"
"it's me."
"Who are you?"
The two nodded slightly.
"Come with me."
While Kyle was still hesitating.
One of them suddenly turned around and looked at Kyle, who was still standing still.
"You'd better keep up, or else..."
Kyle felt a chill run down his spine as he looked into the man's eyes.
I followed them instinctively.
After a while.
The three of them arrived at a secluded corner.
One of the wizard apprentices simply tossed a bulging bag to Kyle.
"Here are one hundred magic stones."
We need your help with something.
Kyle took the bag and felt a sudden weight in his hand. He quickly looked down and opened it.
The next moment, standard magic stones came into view, their faint magical glow almost making his breathing quicken.
His smile immediately brightened.
"What is it?"
"Go ahead and say it."
"I guarantee you'll be satisfied."
One of the wizard apprentices glanced at him indifferently.
"I heard you were testing drugs with Nord Blank."
Kyle paused slightly, but quickly resumed his normal movements.
"That's true."
The other person took out a colorless potion from their sleeve and handed it over.
The liquid is so transparent that no impurities are visible.
Without careful observation, one might even mistake it for ordinary water.
"The task is simple: drink this along with the drug during the trial."
Kyle's smile froze for a moment.
They did not receive the medicine.
"This thing... won't it cause me any harm, will it?"
"I won't do that."
The other person chuckled softly.
"Don't worry, at most it will just give you a headache for a few days and a slight mental disturbance. You'll recover after a period of rest."
Kyle was silent for a few seconds, then looked up at the two of them.
"But Nord Blank was very kind to us."
As soon as he finished speaking, both apprentices looked at him at the same time.
The next moment, Kyle suddenly grinned.
Her smile was even brighter than before.
"So, we have to pay more."
The two men were taken aback at first.
Then one of them immediately turned pale.
Don't be too greedy.
Kyle, however, remained completely unperturbed, even leisurely tucking the money pouch into his pocket.
"The risks are different."
He held up two fingers.
"At least two hundred magic stones."
No sooner had he finished speaking than another person suddenly spoke up.
"One hundred and fifty magic stones."
"Don't forget, you're not the only one participating in the drug trials."
Kyle looked at the two men with gloomy faces and smiled.
He slowly reached out and took the colorless potion.
"make a deal."
After Kyle left.
The two wizard apprentices remained standing in the same spot.
One of them frowned as he watched Kyle's retreating figure.
"Young Master gave us a thousand magic stones, isn't it a bit too little to only give him a hundred and fifty?"
"What if things go wrong?"
Upon hearing this, the other person immediately let out a cold laugh.
"few?"
"This poor wretch who just entered the academy probably hasn't even seen ten magic stones before."
"One hundred and fifty magic stones is enough to buy his life."
As he spoke, he lowered his voice.
"We'll see."
"You don't want the remaining magic stones?"
The air fell silent for a moment.
The person who spoke first subconsciously swallowed.
He then nodded immediately.
"want."
……
Hart swallowed hard as he watched the man and woman disappear into the distance.
He turned to look at Ron beside him.
"Brother, you're just going to refuse us a hundred magic stones each?"
Ron glanced at Hart, then at Ryan beside him.
He sighed.
"Hart, after these past few days, you've experienced the effects of the Glimmering Echoes potion. I thought you would understand."
Hart tilted his head to look at Ron.
"What does Big Brother understand?"
Ron was instantly furious when he saw Hart's bewildered expression.
He picked up the hat in his hand and hit Hart on the head three times before he felt relieved.
"Hart, are you brainless?"
Hart covered his head, looking aggrieved.
"Big brother, I'm not smart, yet you hit me on the head."
Seeing this, Ron rubbed his still throbbing head and looked at Ryan.
"Raine, you talk to him."
Renn looked away and turned to Hart.
"What my brother means is that this potion clearly couldn't have been developed by Nord Blank himself."
"He's just the one standing in the spotlight; the one who actually created the Glimmering Echo potion is someone else."
Hatt nodded, looking thoughtful.
"So that's how it is."
After saying that, he looked at Ron again.
"But, elder brother."
"What does this have to do with us rejecting them?"
Upon hearing this, Ron kicked out.
"Is your brain filled with seawater?"
Hart staggered from the kick, but dared not dodge, and could only rub his leg with an embarrassed smile.
Ron then lowered his voice and continued:
"The person standing behind Nord Blank is the vice dean."
"The Krok family is just a wizarding family; their strongest members haven't even reached the second-circle wizard level yet, and they're not even ranked in the academy."
Ryan casually added:
"The vice dean and the wizarding family are not even on the same level."
Ron nodded.
"If that's the case, why should we side with them?"
He paused here and then let out a cold laugh.
"Besides, they only gave us 100 magic stones each, that's like feeding beggars!"
