Wizard: I can predict the future
Chapter 60 Planning
Ash Academy, in the reception room of a manor somewhere.
A middle-aged man in a grey wizard's robe sat opposite an elderly man in loose casual clothes.
The fire in the fireplace burned quietly, crackling softly, but did nothing to warm the atmosphere in the room.
The middle-aged man picked up the hot drink on the table, looked up at the old man, and spoke in a calm tone.
"Warwick, haven't you been busy researching first-circle sorcery lately?"
"What brings you here all of a sudden?"
Warwick smiled faintly and did not answer immediately.
He straightened his sleeves and then his gaze fell on the middle-aged man's face.
"Kazimir, Edgar's true identity must be your son, right?"
Inside the reception room, the flame flickered slightly.
Casimir's hand holding the cup remained unchanged, as if nothing had happened to him.
Warwick looked into his eyes and a look of sadness crossed his face.
"It's just that you offended someone at the academy back then, so you've never dared to expose your relationship."
"Unfortunately, he died in the Forest of Trials."
As he said this, he leaned forward, staring directly into the other person's eyes, and lowered his voice.
"Don't you really care at all?"
Kazimir gently put down his teacup.
"Warwick, I don't understand what you're saying."
Warwick sat back in his chair and suddenly laughed.
"How pathetic!"
"I remember you were so arrogant back then that you didn't even put the academy's law enforcement team in your eyes."
"Back then, Kazimierz dared to refute a formal wizard in public, dared to break ties with someone for a spot in an experiment, and even put his own teacher in an awkward position."
At this point, Warwick shook his head slightly.
"But what about now?"
"They don't even dare to admit their own son's identity, or even investigate it."
Kazimir's expression remained unchanged, only his gaze turned colder.
"Warwick, you've been talking a lot today."
Warwick didn't seem to care; instead, he smiled even more broadly.
Immediately afterwards, he took out a notebook from his pocket and threw it in front of Casimir.
"Kazimir, you've been a little too cautious these past few years."
"The murderer who killed your son has no connection to the Newman family."
He pointed to the notebook on the table.
"The real killer is a wizarding apprentice named Nord Blank."
Kazimir looked at Warwick's serious expression and remained silent for a moment.
In the end, she picked up the notebook in front of her.
The reception room fell silent the next moment.
All that remained was the sound of burning wood in the fireplace and the rustling of pages being turned.
After a long while, Kazimir slowly raised his head, his brows furrowing slightly.
"You mean, a legendary knight equivalent to a third-level wizard apprentice killed my son and your student?"
Warwick nodded.
"Based on the information I've investigated, even if we can confirm what Anabel saw before she died..."
Kazimir's face darkened, and he pushed the notebook back.
"I find it hard to believe."
"Legendary knights, while capable of killing level two or even level one wizard apprentices in close combat, are only a possibility."
Warwick shook his head and sighed softly.
"At first I didn't believe it either, but that's how it turned out."
"Therefore, he should have the witchcraft artifact that Dylan Flynn gave him."
Upon hearing this name, Kazimir's expression finally changed.
"Vice Dean Dylan Flynn?"
Warwick nodded.
Kazimir looked at him abruptly, his eyes filled with undisguised shock.
"The vice-dean is a third-ring truth wizard!"
"If Nord Blank possesses the magical artifact he gave him, it means he has very likely been formally accepted as a student by Dylan Flynn!"
Warwick stood up and stared straight at Kazimir.
Although they were both first-level wizard apprentices, at this moment, Kazimir inexplicably felt a chill down his spine.
"Kazimir, that's precisely why we must kill him before he grows stronger!"
"He slaughtered my entire Nico clan and killed my students."
"Even if I let him go now, will he let me go when he grows up?"
At this point, Warwick's voice lowered, becoming even colder.
"And you, Kazimir."
"Once he finds out about your relationship with Edgar, do you think you can escape?"
Kazimir abruptly stood up, staring intently at Warwick, and growled in a low voice:
"Warwick, are you threatening me?"
Warwick, seeing Kazimierz's gritted teeth, sat back down in his chair with a smile on his face.
"Kazimir, don't think of me so badly."
I'm not threatening you.
"I'm just reminding you that this is the best option right now."
"According to the tradition of Dylan Flynn's lineage, even if the magical artifacts in Nord Blank's possession are extremely powerful, they are only equivalent to first-tier magic and have limitations on their use."
"This kind of magical artifact is not meant to make students invincible, but to save their lives in critical moments."
"If the two of us work together, killing him won't be difficult."
Kazimir didn't speak, but his face was terribly gloomy.
Warwick continued:
"Once Nord Blank is dead, the vice dean may not be willing to investigate a student who is already dead."
"Dylan Flynn has always adopted a laissez-faire approach to his students, and very few of them actually make it to the end."
"In their lineage, only those who survive have value."
Kazimir stared intently at Warwick, as if he wanted to devour him whole.
But in the end, he slowly sat back down in his chair.
"So what do you plan to do?"
"Should we secretly capture him, or use a curse to kill him outright?"
Warwick shook his head.
"Fighting is prohibited on campus, and the supervision is even stricter for those of us who have already finished our studies."
"As for the curse, Nord Blank was very cautious and did not leave any valid life information, and I have not studied the curse spell much."
"We can only wait until he leaves the academy."
As Kazimir listened to Warwick's explanation, his expression changed, and his tone became slightly impatient.
"What if he stays in the academy and doesn't go out?"
"You didn't come to me without any plan, did you?"
Warwick smiled slightly as he looked at Casimir's anxious expression.
"No need to rush, the academy's three-year mini-exams will be our opportunity."
Kazimir had already become somewhat numb from Warwick's series of astonishing remarks.
When he proposed this almost insane plan, I wasn't surprised at all.
"No wonder you wanted to work with me; it's about striking them dead before anyone can react."
He paused here, then continued:
"But have you considered the possibility that the three-year exams might not be held in the wizarding world, but rather in another dimension?"
Upon hearing this, Warwick did not refute it, but instead retorted sarcastically:
"I thought that after all these years, you'd forgotten how to use your brain."
Kazimir's face darkened, but he did not immediately refute.
Warwick didn't provoke him further, but instead slowly said:
"Don't worry, this is just one part of my plan."
"If the three-year junior exams are led by a formal wizard, or even accompanied by a second-circle wizard, then we naturally cannot take action."
"To take action at a time like this is not revenge, it's suicide."
He paused slightly at this point.
"However, after the three-year preliminary examination, each apprentice must accept mandatory tasks arranged by the academy."
"However, mandatory tasks have more variables."
"His mission may not take him outside the academy, and even if it does, we don't know how long it will last. If he has already grown to the level of a first-level wizard apprentice, then things will get a bit troublesome."
At this point, his expression turned serious, and he slowly stood up and looked out the window.
"However, even if he becomes a first-level wizard apprentice, he won't be able to cause any trouble for us two veteran wizards."
