Wizard: I can predict the future
Chapter 1 Frostwolf Breathing Technique
Leman Continent, White Howling Forest.
A young figure, panting heavily, fled into the dense forest.
Upon seeing the bushes taller than a person, he rushed in without hesitation.
Tap~ Tap~ Tap~
The dull thud of hooves grew louder and clearer.
The figure fleeing through the bushes suddenly quickened its pace upon hearing the sound of hooves, leaving a twisted and distinct trail of broken branches behind it.
A moment later, a warhorse about two meters tall, covered in heavy armor, appeared in the clearing outside the dense forest.
"Whoa!"
Hooves pounded the ground, raising clouds of dust.
The young man on horseback was clad in silver armor and white cloak, his blood-red cape fluttering in the wind.
His gaze was cold as he silently watched the panicked figures fleeing, a slight smirk playing on his lips.
He raised his longbow and drew an arrow from the quiver beside him.
Draw the bowstring taut.
huh~
The long arrow shot through the air, covering more than a hundred meters in the blink of an eye, and accurately hit the young figure.
The fleeing figure crashed heavily to the ground, groaning in pain as it struggled to crawl forward.
It seemed that going there was the only hope for escape.
The young man put away his longbow, gently squeezed his legs together, and his warhorse shook its head, emitting a "neighing" sound, before quickly galloping towards the wriggling figure.
"The esteemed young master Morro Nicol."
The young man looked down at the figure on the ground. "Where are you planning to run to?"
The boy on the ground had delicate features, though he was somewhat pale. His brocade robes had been torn to shreds during his escape.
He gripped his right leg tightly with both hands, which had been ripped apart by the arrow, blood gushing from the wound, his face contorted with pain and hatred.
"Nord, you shameless traitor, my father will not let you get away with this!"
Nord listened to the boy's curses, but showed no anger on his face. Instead, he revealed a strange smile.
He reached behind his horse and took the burlap sack hanging there, not caring at all about the blood that had already soaked into it. He untied the sack, then threw it next to the boy.
With a dull thud, a bloody, bulging-eyed human head rolled to Moro's side.
"Are you referring to Lord Count Flint Nicol?"
Moro's pupils contracted, his previously terrified face became blank, and he lost all strength, collapsing to the ground.
"Impossible...impossible..."
His voice trembled, as if the world had collapsed.
"Father is a great knight, he couldn't possibly be... so quickly..."
Nord looked at Moro's ashen face and softened his tone slightly:
"Young Moro, tell me where the Frostwolf Breathing Technique of the Niko family is, and I promise you will live and inherit your father's title."
He watched as Moro heard the Frostwolf Breathing Technique, his gaze unconsciously sweeping across his chest.
A satisfied smile appeared on his face.
Suddenly, he raised his head and looked in the direction Moro had fled.
From the distant jungle, a rapid and muffled sound came from afar.
The violent tremors kicked up dust from the ground.
Even the warhorse beneath Nord let out a rapid and sharp neigh.
Soon, a huge figure, nearly three meters tall, clad in armor and carrying a giant sword, appeared before Nord.
"Barnes the Knight?"
Nord squinted at the other man: "What? Duke Raymond wants to get involved in this?"
Barnes shook his head, his tone calm: "Count Nord, His Excellency the Duke has no intention of getting involved in the family feud."
"I only hope that the Earl can leave a bloodline for the Nico family."
Nord scrutinized the other person, noticing their serious expression and cold demeanor.
"Sir Barnes, although I have great respect for Duke Raymond."
"But the dignity of the Blank family cannot be trampled upon."
"It was Earl Flin who broke his oath first."
"I was merely following the rules of the Leman Continent and initiating a family feud with the Nico family."
Moro lay on the ground, his face pale, his head spinning from blood loss.
His gaze shifted back and forth between Nord and Barnes, his eyes filled with both the fear of death and the relief of surviving.
Sir Barnes is a renowned Grand Knight and the foremost knight under Duke Raymond.
Now that Knight Barnes has arrived, it seems Nord will have no choice but to let him go.
After saying that, Nord did not look at Barnes.
He slowly raised his hand and took a silver-white spear from the horse's back.
The gun was long and slender, with a sharp, cold glint of blood still clinging to it.
Barnes reached behind him and grasped the greatsword.
"Count Nord".
"This is His Majesty the Duke's order, not a request."
"If you insist on going your own way, you may bring about the destruction of your clan in the future, and even the White Moon Kingdom may not be able to stay out of it."
"You can't stop me."
Nord gripped his spear tightly, his voice cold and confident.
He paid no attention to Barnes' threats, believing that if you don't nip the problem in the bud, it will reappear.
As soon as he finished speaking, he squeezed the horse's flanks with his legs, and the warhorse suddenly stomped forward.
The spear thrust out in the same direction.
Seeing this, Barnes did not hesitate at all.
The greatsword was drawn from its sheath and slashed down at the spear with great force.
"Your Excellency, the Duke has agreed to exchange the secret of breaking through the legendary knight."
The spear remained unmoved by the greatsword's slash, steadily thrusting downwards.
The spear tip pierced straight through Moro's head, pinning his body firmly to the ground.
The struggle and howling stopped abruptly in an instant.
Nord sheathed his spear, and blood dripped slowly from its tip, staining the ground red.
He didn't look at the body, but instead looked up at Barnes.
"Sir Barnes, you should have said that sooner."
Barnes stood there, feeling the stinging pain in his hands.
Finally, he sighed softly.
At this moment, he realized that Nord's strength was probably only one step away from that of a legendary knight.
If the other party had really wanted to back down just now, it would have been as easy as turning their hand.
Barnes sheathed the greatsword, took out several well-sealed envelopes from his leather pouch, and handed them to Nord with both hands.
"His Excellency the Duke said that if the Nico family were to be wiped out, he would have me deliver this letter to you."
"And let me pass on a message to you: 'This world is far more complex than you imagine.'"
Nord looked at the letter, hesitated for a moment, and then put it into his pocket.
Barnes turned and left.
The heavy footsteps gradually faded into the dense forest.
The White Howling Forest has returned to silence.
Nord dismounted and pulled a book bound in parchment from Moro's arms. The book clearly read "The Frostwolf Breathing Technique."
He held the book in his hand, his gaze slightly narrowed.
The next moment, a familiar panel unfolded before his eyes.

Nord's gaze lingered on the panel for a moment before he closed it.
He looked down at the Frostwolf Breathing Technique in his hand, hesitated for a moment, and finally put it away.
"It's been almost ten years since I transmigrated to this world."
"I've been stuck at the Great Knight level for almost three years now."
"I have collected quite a few breathing techniques, including some top-tier ones, but no matter how I deduce them, I still can't take the final step and condense the seed of life."
He frowned slightly as he recalled Barnes's words.
"It seems that breaking through to the level of a legendary knight is not a simple matter of breathing techniques or the accumulation of strength; otherwise, there wouldn't be only two legendary knights in the entire Leman Continent."
"There seems to be more to this than meets the eye."
Nord mounted his horse and gently tugged on the reins.
The warhorse immediately turned around and galloped out of the dense forest.
Thinking about what Barnes had conveyed, he smiled.
"It seems the world is much more interesting than I thought."
