Chapter 77 "The Dark Saint" Kesma's Messenger (Thanks to Truth for the generous donation of Qidian Coins)

Julian lit the candles, set up a simple ritual altar on the table, and then silently recited a special incantation: "I! In my name I summon: the messenger of Kesma, who invites the spirits of the highest realms, the eyes that devour shadows, the one who belongs solely to the Dark Saint."

This is exactly the method that Kesma told him in the letter to summon his messenger.

As Julian chanted, he immediately felt the already dimly lit basement become even darker.

Immediately afterwards, an eye about the size of a book emerged from the dark void in front of him. It had long eyelashes, completely black eyeballs, and no whites visible.

Those deep, unfathomable eyes looked at Julian with a puzzled expression, and after a brief moment of surprise, the latter quickly folded the letter and handed it to him.

The dark eyes glanced at Julian, blinked their upper and lower eyelids, then used their long eyelashes to hold the folded letter before disappearing from sight.

Soon, the light in the basement returned to normal.

Julian relaxed, wondering if it was just his imagination, but he felt as if those eyes were looking at him in place of the "Dark Saint".

After finishing this task, Julian did not stay at home. Instead, after eating something, he took the two booklets given to him by the Aurora Society and once again took a carriage to the Cruz Pigeon Club.

Of course, Julian hadn't forgotten to use divination to confirm that Mr. Z was still there and hadn't left yet.

After finishing his sentence, he added, "Just like I said before, you don't need to tell me about such a small matter. Just go directly to Zane to get the four-leaf clover charm."

Julian breathed a slight sigh of relief. The reason he put on this show in front of Mr. Z was partly to show respect to his superior, and partly to test whether the other party was relaxed or nervous about his use of the sealed artifact.

Now it seems he is fairly certain that what Mr. Z said the day before was sincere.

"Hey—if it weren't for a bunch of lunatics, the 'job market' at the Aurora Club would actually be pretty good."

Julian sighed. "At least the relationships between colleagues are relatively pure—provided there's no problem with their belief in the 'true Creator.'"

Julian felt a pang of regret at the thought that he was about to personally push the "Aurora Society" branch in Tingen into a fire.

"Zane—Tomorrow you will stay at Blackwood Seafood Company to help me prepare for the various details of the Extraordinary Gathering."

"This is the first gathering I've ever organized, so I can't afford to make any mistakes."

After a moment's thought, Julian spoke again and made the arrangements.

"Yes, Your Excellency, the candidate divine envoy."

Zane nodded slightly, accepting Julian's order.

In fact, Julian did this to save Zain's life.

With the Night Watchers and Punishers joining forces to besiege the Aurora Society's stronghold, many Aurora Society members are bound to die in the battle.

Thanks to Julian's prior arrangements, Zain, who is uninvolved, will most likely survive.
