Chapter 61 Klein's Suspicion of Julian

"it is good."

Selena, though weak, nodded.

"Please describe your identity, family, and social relationships accurately."

Seeing the suspicion in Selena's eyes, Klein shook his head: "Just do as I say, trust me."

"OK."

When Selena heard Klein say that, she could only introduce herself, her name, the school she attended, her family members, and her relationships.

The narrative flowed fairly smoothly and aligned with Klein's understanding of the reality.

He nodded slightly, and then asked some questions related to high school grammar.

Selena was able to answer some of the questions, some were not accurate enough, and some were complete nonsense.

This relieved Klein.

Unlike Melissa, Selena is not a top student. Her performance in answering questions related to the knowledge taught by her school professors proves that she has no problems.

After confirming that Selena was alright through clairvoyance and a quick coin toss, Klein asked Elizabeth to look after her for the time being, and then left the room.

In the corridor ahead, Melissa walked over with a sullen face. The moment she saw Klein, she complained irritably, "Benson said he has no problem. Are you guys teaming up to mess with me?"

"And Klein, why did you change back into those clothes?"

"Well----"

Klein scratched his head, knowing that this must have been Julian's excuse to get Melissa away while he was away.

"Selena just fainted."

He promptly changed the subject.

"What?"

Melissa paused for a moment, glanced at Klein, and then quickly walked into the room where Selena was.

Klein shook his head and went to Selena's bedroom to tell Julian that the ritual magic could be stopped.

"Is everything alright?"

"Um.

Julian breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Klein's affirmative answer.

"Regardless, this matter needs to be reported."

Klein said, "Selena wouldn't have learned something as dangerous as divination by magic mirrors for no reason. Someone must have been teaching her."

"Julian, if it's convenient, could you please go to Zotland Street and find my other teammates?"

"Can."

Julian nodded, stuffing the tattered strips of women's clothing into his trench coat as he quickly walked downstairs.

Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention, he climbed out of the window and onto the street.

After walking a few steps, Julian came to an empty alley, took out his revolver, and fired a few shots into the air.

Dai Li and Cohen arrived at the scene.

After they persuaded the police officers who had been interrogating Julian in the downtown area to leave, they spoke with Klein about the situation.

Julian has been a great help.

Klein nodded slightly; Julian's reason was reasonable enough.

To Daly's surprise, Julian immediately shook his head upon hearing this: "Try not to let Dunn go—anyone else will do, just don't let him go."
