Lord of Mysteries: The Color of the Stars

Chapter 45 The Little "Sun" and Offensive Sealing Artifacts

"I'm ready, Mr. Tower."

"Justice!" Audrey exclaimed immediately, having anticipated this moment for a full week.

"I'm all ears."

"The Hanged Man," Alger said in a deep voice.

"Very good, you two are indeed people of your word."

Julian nodded slightly, then said:

"I need the heterochromatic iris of the 'Pseudo-Language Disaster Beast' and 30 grams of its mimicry bone powder, or at least some related information."

"A 'parody monster'?"

Alger, the "Hanged Man," was taken aback by what he heard:

"Are you sure it's a language-parodying monster?"

"Mr. Hanged Man, what is that?"

Compared to Mr. Hanged Man's surprise, Ms. Justice seemed more confused.

"The Paranormal Beast is a shapeshifting monster without a physical form. It disguises itself as other creatures and parasitizes the corresponding species, spreading rapidly like a virus, using the host as nourishment for its own growth until it completely replaces it."

"And humans are also a parasitic species of the 'Pseudo-Language Disaster Beasts'."

"Such a terrifying creature actually exists..."

Miss Justice was shocked to hear this. She couldn't imagine how terrifying it would be if her parents, brothers, and friends were silently replaced.

"Yes."

Mr. Hanged Man nodded:

"Because of the danger of these creatures, during the reign of Emperor Roselle, the 'Imitation Disaster Beasts' of the entire Northern Continent were wiped out by the extraordinary power of the Church of the True God. Since then, they have disappeared from the land, and there are only occasional reports of sightings at sea."

"Therefore, materials related to the 'Disaster Beast' are extremely difficult to find, not only are they expensive, but they also require a great deal of luck."

Upon hearing this, Miss Justice breathed a long sigh of relief, but was also somewhat worried.

She wanted to praise Emperor Roselle, but was disappointed that Mr. "Tower's" request could not be easily fulfilled.

"I can keep an eye out at sea for you, Mr. 'Tower'."

Alger, the "Hanged Man," paused briefly before continuing:

"However, given that the 'Imitation Disaster Beast' is extremely rare in the sea, this may take some time, and the outcome cannot be guaranteed."

"It's alright."

Julian shook his head. In fact, he had long expected this outcome.

For extinct creatures like the "Imitation Disaster Beast," the most likely place to appear is not the northern or southern continents, nor the five seas, but the "Land Forsaken by the Gods."

If he remembered correctly, Derrick Berg, the boy from the "Forsaken Land," would soon be joining the "Tarot Club."

Julian will be able to get rid of Derrick's help at that time, and because the "Forsaken Land" is isolated from the outside world and its value system is out of touch with reality, the price he pays should be much more cost-effective than directly buying a specimen or a fresh entity of the "Imitation Beast".

"Besides that, you have another option."

"Tower," Julian glanced at the two people beside him before speaking:

"I need an offensive supernatural item of at least Sequence 7 level, that is easy to carry and has minimal side effects."

After his previous attack by Calvin Walker, Julian found that his direct offensive options were still too limited.

Both "The Scholar's Legacy" and "Chris Jacob's Ring" are more of a support type of sealing artifact. Even though "Live Recreation" can create the "Starry Night" contamination, certain conditions are still required.

In truly intense battles, most opponents will not allow Julian to point the "Scholar's Legacy" lens at them, and even if Julian does kill his opponent, the extraordinary traits tainted by the "Starry Night" won't fetch much of a price.

Not to mention that he still has to deal with the crazy people from the "Aurora Society" all the time, so keeping some offensive measures would also help him survive.

"To be honest, I do know that such a thing exists."

Alger, the "Hanged Man," breathed a slight sigh of relief:

"However, if it's a mid-series extraordinary item, the price won't be cheap."

As he spoke, his gaze drifted intentionally or unintentionally toward Miss "Justice".

Based on the previous situation, this noble lady should be very, very rich. Therefore, Alger hopes that in exchange for his intelligence, "Justice" will provide the funds so that both parties can complete this transaction together.

As expected, Miss "Justice" immediately spoke up after hearing this:

"I can pay for it."

Upon hearing this, she realized she might have been too hasty, so she added in a more subdued tone:

"Of course, that's assuming the price is right."

"Thank you both."

When Julian heard Audrey's words, he knew that the matter was already halfway done.

He looked at Mr. "The Hanged Man" with a smile:

"Then please introduce yourself, Mr. 'The Hanged Man'."

"no problem."

Mr. Hanged Man nodded:

"I have two friends who sell extraordinary items that meet your needs."

"The first item is an earring that can summon deadly holy light, or create high-temperature flames or enchanted strikes with purifying effects. It has a strong restraining effect on evil spirits and vengeful creatures."

"In addition, it can help the holder create holy water that can ward off evil spirits and drive away the cold. The side effect is that it will cause random burns to the holder, some of which may be very fatal. But the good news is that these burns are repairable as long as they are treated in time."

It looks like a transcendental item corresponding to Sequence 7 "Sun Priest" of the "Singer" pathway...

Julian nodded.

"And the second one?"

"The second item is a pair of framed glasses that can grant the wearer a certain amount of magical knowledge, allowing them to use various offensive spells when they are prepared in advance."

"It includes invisible hands that can remotely control and attack opponents, lightning spells, and other witchcraft that can exorcise evil spirits, remove weeds, and create wind."

"If the holder already possesses a great deal of knowledge, he can even create some spells himself... But this item also has a strong side effect: when using it, one will hear crazy whispers filled with a great deal of knowledge. Some of this knowledge is safe, some is dangerous, but even the safest knowledge may cause the holder to have a mental breakdown under such a high density of indoctrination."

"The prices of the two extraordinary items mentioned above range from £2000 to £2400. I need to inquire to confirm the exact price, but I assure you that they are currently available for sale."

Both of these extraordinary items sound very interesting...

Upon hearing this, Mr. Fool couldn't help but feel a little itchy.

He had previously guarded the Chanis Gate and had come into contact with many sealed artifacts as a result.

However, the conditions for obtaining these sealed items are very strict, so Klein didn't have many opportunities to use them.

Just as he was pondering, Mr. Tower's voice rang out again:

"I want that second extraordinary item you mentioned, is that alright?"
