How much money do you need?

Alexander Hoy's eyes lit up, and he asked.

Although the Hoy family does not hold a high political position, they have cultivated deep roots in the business world of Akhova County for many years, and are therefore even wealthier than some of the richest people in Backlund.

For them, anything that can be solved with money is no big deal.

After all, Mrs. Sharon is too much of a threat. As long as Julian doesn't ask for too much, the Hoy family can accept it.

"4000 pounds."

Julian smiled and said:

"You can pay in two installments: £2000 upfront, and the balance after the whole matter is completely resolved."

The Hoy family, who sponsored Hoy University, could be considered Julian's employers in a sense. However, considering that he would most likely leave Hoy University in the future, it wouldn't hurt to take this opportunity to fleece him... or rather, exploit the surplus value of capitalists.

Of course, this money wasn't free; there were difficulties involved, but not as great as Alexander Hoy had imagined.

The young man breathed a long sigh of relief.

This amount was right at the threshold of his decision-making power; he could give the money directly to Julian without needing to report to the family.

He wasn't worried that Julian would blackmail him, after all, this assistant professor worked at Hoy University, and he wouldn't risk his life for the sake of his reputation or his job.

Alexander promptly paid Julian 2000 gold pounds on the spot. Julian accepted the money with a calm expression, but was secretly overjoyed.

"So, Professor Albrecht, what should I do?"

Alexander Hoy looked at Julian with great curiosity, hoping that the scholar would guide him on the right path.

"Mr. Hoy, you must be a follower of the 'Lord of Storms'?"

In response to Julian's question, Alexander nodded:

"You can tell from that?"

"Of course, this is a piece of cake for me."

"I can see things that ordinary people cannot, including faith itself."

Julian gave a mysterious smile.

The Hoy family's ancestors were knighted for their naval achievements and later made their fortune through shipping.

Furthermore, the Hoy University crest features waves and sailboats, making it easy for Julian to deduce that the family worships the "Lord of the Storms."

Given Alexander Hoy's deliberate or unintentional disdain for women in his language and his influence within his family, Julian can easily deduce that he is also a follower of the "Lord of the Storms."

Taking advantage of Alexander's successful deception, he quickly scribbled a few lines on a notepad, handed it to Alexander, and then continued:

"These are some addresses in Tingen. When you get back, you can have someone who is not publicly related to you spread the word to the 'Lord of the Storm' church, saying that these places are suspected of having heretical activities."

Because the offspring of the "True Creator" is currently being conceived in Tingen, Tingen is now a place that the "Aurora Society" must save.

After feeling the pressure from the official extraordinary beings, Mr. Z, the "Aurora Society" messenger who has been hiding in Enmat Port and is also one of the masterminds behind the scenes, is likely to be exposed.

At that point, Julian could use him to deal with Mrs. Sharon, and with a bit of luck, he might even be able to get a double kill.

Although doing this was somewhat suspected of taking advantage of the Storm Dove followers, it helped to deal with the security risks in Tingen City, so Julian didn't feel too much of a psychological burden.

If the "Lord of Storms" knew about this, he probably wouldn't object.

"A heretic?"

Alexander was somewhat puzzled by these words:

"I don't understand what you mean. Is Sharon a heretic, and you hope to use the church to find evidence against her?"

"That's one way to understand it."

Julian chuckled and shrugged.

"However, the specific principles are quite complex; you just need to do as I say."

Seeing that Alexander still seemed somewhat hesitant, Julian reassured him further:

"If anything goes wrong, just blame it on me and say that I was the one who leaked the information to you."

"Okay, I believe you."

Alexander took a deep breath, and then said:

"I know Viscount Oakley very well. The fact that he gave you such a high evaluation shows that you must have real skills."

"Thank you for your trust... but please remember, this matter needs to be kept strictly confidential. Do not let the news leak out, otherwise I will not be responsible for the outcome."

Julian laughed.

"Of course. I will do as you instruct me when I get back."

Alexander agreed:

"We eagerly await your good news."

After shaking hands, Julian escorted Alexander out of the "Fortune Telling Club".

"Good afternoon, Julian."

When Julian turned back, he bumped into a smiling Haynes Vancent.

"Hainas, good afternoon."

The two shook hands, and then Hainas inquired:

"The gentleman who asked you to have your fortune told just now seems to be a nobleman."

"Yes, he is a nobleman introduced by Viscount Oakley."

Julian nodded and answered truthfully, avoiding the main point.

Would you like afternoon tea?

Hainas gestured "please" to Julian while winking at him.

That was an indication that he hoped to use this opportunity to obtain some information from Julian about the movements of the "Night Watchers".

"I'm actually hungry."

Julian nodded, and then the two found a quiet, secluded corner to sit down.

Just as Haynes was about to ask something, Julian suddenly heard a familiar voice.

"Julian? Is that you?"

Julian looked up and found Klein standing not far away, looking at him.

"Hey, Klein."

Julian immediately stood up and went over to greet Klein.

"I saw your name on the club's membership roster earlier, and I knew you should come here to practice divination."

"I just never expected that I would actually meet you today... I believe that with your abilities, you will definitely rise quickly and become a famous fortune teller."

"Thank you for your kind words."

Klein chuckled as he glanced at Haynes Vancent with a curious look.

Earlier, he had audited this famous fortune teller's astrology course and learned that the fortune teller seemed to be researching magic mirror divination.

Because divination using the magic mirror is a very dangerous method, Klein, as the "Night Watcher," couldn't help but be extra cautious and focused some of his attention on Haynes.

He didn't quite understand why Julian would hang out with this guy. If it was just a spur-of-the-moment decision, that would be fine, but if the two had a very close relationship, Klein felt he needed to find an opportunity to remind Julian.

However, given the current situation, Klein couldn't possibly say anything in front of Haynes.

He said to Julian:

"I have some things to take care of, so I'll head back now."

After speaking, Klein touched his top hat and nodded slightly to Haynes Vancent:

"I hope you and Julian have a pleasant afternoon, Mr. Vancent."

"You too, Mr. Moretti."

Hainas responded with a smile.

After Klein had walked away, Haynes asked:

"This Klein Moretti...you seem to know him quite well?"

"He was one of my students at Hoy University."

Once again, Julian downplayed the seriousness of the matter and told the truth.

"Okay... let's get back to the main topic."

Hainas didn't dwell on the topic, but instead asked in a low voice:

"Any movement from the 'Night Watchers' side?"

"have."

Julian nodded, replying with the words he had already prepared:

"As far as I know, the 'Night Watchers' may be launching a joint law enforcement operation with the 'Punishers' to crack down on the 'Gnostic Society' recently."

"This originally had nothing to do with us, but the problem is that their planned enforcement location overlaps too much with the 'Aurora Society's' activity area... It even includes the vicinity of Sirius and Lanius's residences, so it cannot be ruled out that they are using the 'Gnostic Society' as a cover to take advantage of us."

"Lanius's residence?"

Hynas Vancent remained relatively calm when he heard Sirius's name, but his expression suddenly changed when he heard Lanius's name.

Although he did not know the full picture of the plan for the descent of the evil god's offspring, he had heard Sirius mention some of it, and therefore understood the importance of Lanluus to the "Aurora Society".

He said with a somewhat solemn expression:

"If that's the case, I think it's absolutely necessary for us to report this to 'Mr. Z'."
