Dream Walker: Feng Shui Master Bai Ya

Chapter 4 Flying Bat Female Army Leader, Old Man Liu

Shang Muchen followed Liu Qingyang into the mansion, and the extravagance of it left him speechless.

Although the room was luxuriously decorated, the furniture was covered with plastic sheeting everywhere, and only the sofa and coffee table in the living room were still usable.

After sitting down on the sofa, the guard brought him tea, and Old Man Liu said to him kindly, "You can go back now. You don't need to do anything today. Take a rest."

The guards fled as if their lives depended on it.

Old Man Liu sighed softly, shook his head, and said, "Alas, I'm an old man who's been a soldier my whole life. I've never believed in those superstitious things, and I don't know why something like this has happened to my own family..."

"Brother Liu, please tell me, what exactly happened?" Uncle Si asked politely.

Old Man Liu gestured towards Professor Eileen with his lips.

Professor Eileen pushed up her glasses and said with a smile, "Master Shang, Xiao Chen, I have already conducted two rounds of scientific investigation into what happened in this house."

You may not know this, but I am privately very interested in things like aliens and paranormal events, and I really enjoy researching these things.

I have always hoped to solve these kinds of incidents using scientific methods, so I have collected a lot of cases.

However, it wasn't until the case of Commander Liu's family that I encountered a truly mysterious event for the first time, which was very interesting.

Simply put, here's what happened:

Anyone who sleeps in this house for one night will experience a very severe nightmare, in which extremely terrifying and bizarre things will happen.

There are currently three victims, all of whom were staff members who had stayed overnight at the location.

Even more outrageous, surveillance footage showed that a strange creature would suddenly appear out of nowhere while someone was sleeping in the house.

This strange creature resembles a woman and has enormous wings…

At this point, Professor Eileen turned to look at Old Man Liu and paused.

Old Man Liu murmured, "The Flying Bat Girl..."

"Yes, that's the kind of monster," Professor Eileen continued. "In the surveillance footage, a monster with female features, wings on its back, and red eyes appears out of nowhere in the middle of the night."

This monster seems to possess some kind of psychic ability; she touches people's heads while they are sleeping, and then the sleeping person is plunged into an extreme nightmare that can drive them mad.

The only one who hasn't been harmed yet is this Miss Liu Qingyang.

Shang Muchen asked in surprise, "Liu Qingyang, you've seen that monster too?"

"I've never seen it!" Liu Qingyang shook his head repeatedly and said, "That's what they all say, but I stayed there for one night and didn't see the monster they're talking about."

"You're really amazing." Shang Muchen gave him a thumbs up.

Eileen showed her fourth uncle and Shang Muchen a very blurry surveillance video on the computer. A blurry, winged figure appeared in the house. Shang Muchen thought it looked too fake, almost like it was generated by AI.

"Master Shang, what do you think?" Eileen asked.

Fourth Uncle nodded meaningfully, then turned to ask Old Man Liu, "Brother Liu, what's your opinion?"

Old Man Liu frowned and stared silently at his fourth uncle for a long time before slowly saying, "Guoning, Guoxing may have told you about our strange experience back then."

That was during the later stages of the Sino-Mountain War. I was in a combat group with Shang Guoxing, Mei Yuanchao, Lu Zhanshan, Song Jiabao, and others.

One night, we were ordered to conduct reconnaissance for the artillery, penetrating more than ten kilometers into enemy territory and circling around to the edge of a completely abandoned mountain village.

We were all tired and wanted to rest for a bit. After marking the map, we headed back.

Just as we were about to head back, we unexpectedly discovered an M113 infantry fighting vehicle that had been abandoned for a long time.

When we arrived, we didn't see the car and thought we had taken the wrong route, so we planned to take a detour.

Suddenly, a huge humanoid bat flew out from above the bushes. The creature had a pair of bright, blood-red eyes that were very conspicuous in the dark rainforest night.

The giant humanoid bat suddenly flew above the infantry fighting vehicle, opened its mouth, and seemed to be 'sucking' at something.

I saw with my own eyes that something white, which seemed to be a 'soul,' was 'sucked' out of that infantry fighting vehicle.

This scene almost scared me to death, so I quickly called the others to take a look.

They all saw it too; Guoxing was about to fire, but Song Jiabao stopped him.

It had to be Old Song; he was much calmer. He told us not to talk, not to pay attention to that guy, and to quietly retreat.

So we walked backwards for a full hour before we remembered we were scared. We ran back to the company headquarters and quickly reported it.

The boss thought we were having hysteria and gave us a good scolding.

However, all of us could see it clearly; it was definitely real, not an illusion.

I can never forget this incident; even after decades, it remains vivid in my memory.

Later, I checked some historical records and found that the French and American troops who were once stationed there also had similar accounts. There was even a naturalist named Henri Mouhot who specifically recorded this monster and named it "Flying Bat Woman".

So many years have passed, I never imagined that such a monster would actually follow me to my house!

I've thought about it a lot, but I don't have anything related to that monster in my house.

Why is it chasing me? Why doesn't it go to your brother Shang Guoxing's house?

"Yes, we both encountered the Flying Bat Woman, but why did it chase after you, Brother Liu, and why didn't it go to my brother's house?" Uncle Si said with a smile. "It seems the secret lies in your house."

Eileen said, "Master Shang, if we can capture this 'Flying Bat Woman,' even just a clear image or some other evidence, it would be a huge contribution to the scientific community."

I installed a large number of detectors in the house. In addition to visible light and infrared monitors, I also set up electromagnetic field monitors, motion capture sensors, ultrasonic and infrasound recorders, and various other devices.

However, to date, no reliable data or information has been obtained.

So, Master Shang, you said there's a knack to houses, where exactly is that knack?

"By the way, when the house was first built, someone said that this place used to be the village's ancestral hall before it was demolished. Do you think that has anything to do with it?" Old Man Liu asked tentatively.

"Well, if it were that simple to resolve, you wouldn't need me to do it. Just go to the entrance of Qingyun Temple in the city and hire a street vendor, a feng shui master, for a thousand yuan, and he'll solve the problem for you," Uncle Si laughed.

"In my opinion, we'll probably have to sleep here tonight before we can figure things out."

"This..." Old Master Liu looked conflicted, glanced nervously at Professor Eileen, and asked hesitantly, "Will this work?"

Professor Eileen nodded slightly and said, "Actually, I've wanted to do this for a while now. Since Master Shang brought it up, I'll stay as well."

"I want to come too!" Liu Qingyang raised her hand and said, "After all, I'm the only one who stayed here overnight and nothing happened."

"I'd like to see what kind of monster dares to cause trouble in my house!"

As he spoke, Liu Qingyang slammed his fist on the table.

"Stop messing around!" Old Master Liu roared, his eyes wide with anger. "You're not allowed to cause trouble!"
