Journey to the West: Building a Celestial Empire Starting from Lion Camel Ridge

Readers who have been following the book closely can see that its structure has collapsed.

The most obvious example is from Chapter 55, which introduces the concept of external avatars.

The reason for introducing the avatar is because the storyline of the shelter fell apart.

As a newcomer on Qidian, I was incredibly excited when I started writing my book.

But now that I've written this far, with the power levels collapsing and the plot falling apart, it's incredibly heartbreaking.

But after thinking about it carefully, I realized it's not a bad thing.

At least I have a general idea of ​​where the problem lies (and feel free to discuss in the comments or join the group; this is my first book, but it won't be the last).

I. The shelter itself has serious bugs.

When I first set it up, I added a rule to the shelter so that Chen Ping'an and A Li could survive in the ruins.

But as it turned out, this was a mistake.

This setup did allow the two to survive, but it also destroyed countless potential storylines.

If the monsters can't get in, then the danger we face is limited.

If only humans are allowed to enter and exit, then as a later celestial dynasty in the human realm, does that mean we can't keep pets?

As a celestial dynasty in the mortal realm, if any demons or immortals later surrendered or cooperated with it, they would all stand at the gate.

This setting is very unreasonable.

II. Arrow Tower Design

Attentive readers may have already noticed that the design of the arrow towers is very haphazard.

To a certain extent, arrow towers are effective against monsters.

As long as the arrow towers are in place, low-level monsters have absolutely no chance of attacking the sanctuary.

Furthermore, arrow towers have no durability.

The fact that something with extremely high combat power and no risk of destruction appeared early on already demonstrates that the author has no concept of combat power allocation.

I can't continue writing this story.

Third, the sanctuary of Lion Camel Ridge is actually a false concept.

Lion Camel Ridge was indeed the most difficult place for Tang Sanzang and his companions to overcome among the eighty-one tribulations.

No mortal could survive in this place.

No matter how many patches the author adds, it will still break the immersion.

Forty-eight thousand lesser demons must be at least at the Foundation Establishment stage. Are they all blind, unable to see the two main characters across the river?

When a villain is portrayed as mentally challenged, the book is not far from falling apart.

IV. The plot is unclear and the forces at play are ambiguous.

How can shelters expand?

In which direction should it expand, and at what speed?

Which buildings need to be upgraded each time? Why are upgrades necessary, and how does the corresponding storyline unfold?

It has absolutely no structure or method.

It was all done arbitrarily, and the moment that arbitrariness began, the whole book fell apart.

I tried many ways to keep this book going.

But as it turns out, trying to salvage a book that has already fallen apart is torture for the author and even more so for the reader.

This is extremely disrespectful to the readers.

Therefore, this book will soon be discontinued and will be completed.

I'm currently working on a new book, and it will be submitted internally soon.

Hopefully, the lessons learned from this book will provide readers with a book they can actually enjoy.

The fact that the Tang emperor entered the underworld was a complete conspiracy.

Originally, the Heavenly Court wanted to swallow up the faith of the Tang Dynasty, but they forgot that there was a Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in the Underworld, who was a hidden Buddhist master.

Emperor Tang visited hell and met Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Therefore, it was then placed under the guise of Buddhism and ultimately became a puppet of Buddhism.

2. What exactly are the three demons looking for when they descend to the mortal realm?

Actually, I didn't set it up properly at first.

But as the story progressed, what I actually arranged for them was to find a chosen one.

A person who wants to create a celestial dynasty on earth and absorb the faith of the human race.

That is, the main character.
