The adventurer at the bottom is fantasizing again.

Chapter 67 Cleaning Up the Battlefield

"I picked them up, I picked them all up."

Lorraine made up a random, offhand remark.

He can't exactly say he got it from the system, can he?

But at least he had found the necklace. Thinking of this, he asked curiously:

Do you know Eldrick Brandon?

Eileen didn't believe him at all; who could find so many magical trinkets? But Lorraine successfully diverted her attention.

"Brandon... that surname seems to belong to a minor noble family in the south, but I'm not very familiar with it," she said after thinking for a moment.

"I see."

Lorraine nodded and didn't ask any further questions.

He glanced at the chaotic camp and said:

"There are only seven goblins here. I guess a lot of them have gone outside. Shall we move the corpses into the cave and wait for the others to come back?"

The two had no objections.

Eileen took a piece of silver thread from the cloth bag at her waist, pointed to the entrance of the camp fence, and said:

"I'll go set up an alarm."

"Okay, let's check the cave first."

Lorraine was worried that there might be other monsters in the cave, although the possibility was slim, but it was still better to confirm it for peace of mind.

He first went back into the woods to retrieve his backpack, then called Piper, and the two of them picked up a still-smoking branch from the campfire to use as a torch.

"What's all this stuff in here?"

Piper looked at the large pot with disgust.

The pot contained a jumble of random things.

He saw a snake, several curled-up spiders, some messy plants and tree roots, bones of some unknown animal, and even some garbage.

That snake is really being demeaned to be with these things.

Lorraine frowned as she looked at the stew, clearly not understanding the goblin's culinary art.

"Let's go."

The cave entrance doesn't look very big, but once you go inside, you'll find a hidden world. After passing through a short passage, a natural stone chamber appears in front of you.

The stone chamber was about the size of two or three houses. The floor and walls were uneven and pitted, and there was a foul stench of sweat and fish mixed together.

However, for the two of them who had experienced the kobold incubation chamber, this smell was nothing at all, and Lorraine didn't even flinch.

At the far end against the wall was a pile of dry grass, covered with several tattered pelts of unknown origin, which was clearly the goblin's bed.

There were some messy items around the bed, including what looked like some weapons.

Because goblins might return at any moment, the two only glanced at it briefly and didn't look closely.

"Let's bring the stuff in first, we can look at the spoils later." Lorraine leaned her backpack against the entrance.

"it is good."

The two men glanced at the goblin's enormous corpse, exchanged a calm look, and then laboriously dragged it into the cave.

"Pip felt that this thing was heavier dead than alive."

"You didn't endure this even when you were alive."

"Too."

They left the goblin's corpse next to the entrance to the stone chamber.

Eileen also set up the alarm and helped them clean up the scene.

The three of them spent a great deal of effort carrying the goblin corpses lying outside in one by one and stacking them next to the bear goblin.

"I suspect that doing this is a mistake."

Eileen wiped the sweat from her face; her wool skirt was stained with blood.

The two nodded in deep agreement.

They didn't even need this much effort to kill these goblins.

"We also have to cut off their ears," Lorraine said.

The thought of the gold coins that were about to be in his hands gave him an endless surge of energy.

He then stepped forward, stepped on their heads, and cut off their ears one by one, while also searching their bodies.

"Oh no—"

The short man complained, then took Lorraine's herb-gathering knife and went to help.

Eileen rubbed her head and helplessly helped them organize the things they had found, piling them together.

The three of them worked on this for quite a while before finally finishing sorting out their spoils.

In winter, there was no need to deal with the ears and head, so they were simply put into cloth bags and then secured to the cracks in the stone chamber with stones.

There was also a pile of scrap metal found on goblins and goblins, which was piled up next to the goblin's bed.

Lorraine searched carefully, setting aside items of little value or inconvenient to carry, and said:

"The only things we can sell are two rusty one-handed swords, and there's also a small bag of gems, probably left over from robbing some caravan."

"show me."

Eileen took the bag of gems from his hand, took out one, examined it carefully by the light from the cave entrance, and said:

"The quality is so-so, not worth much. There are still a dozen or so left, worth at most twenty or thirty gold coins."

She casually tossed the cloth bag back.

"Hey, watch out!"

Lorraine carefully caught it and put it into his backpack. That's about eight or nine gold coins, enough for two of Glenn's classes.

You don't know the cost of firewood and rice until you're in charge of the household!

Eileen pouted and looked at him with disgust.

"Alright, alright, let's rest here for a bit. The goblin food is cooking, they should be back soon."

Lorraine clapped her hands and casually found a place that wasn't too dirty to sit down.

The three of them waited inside for a short while.

Eileen cast the alarm spell twice, and was resting against the stone wall when she suddenly opened her half-closed eyes.

"I'm here," she said.

The two quickly got up and moved closer to the cave entrance.

Sharp, noisy goblin language came from the fence, chattering and interspersed with indistinct profanities.

Lorraine vaguely understood a few words.

"...Lazybones...Poor bastard..."

He peered out from the shadow of the stone wall and saw eight goblins swearing and cursing as they walked in through the camp fence.

They carried bulging cloth bags on their backs and dragged two carts behind them.

The vehicle in front had several sacks and three square wooden crates piled on it, along with the corpses of three humans.

The second vehicle carried several dead packhorses and mules, and Lorraine could even vaguely see goblin corpses mixed in among them.

It seems these guys really eat anything, not even their own kind.

On the side of the cart followed two men with bruised and swollen faces. They looked quite disheveled, their hands tied and held by the goblin in front of them.

The goblins clearly hadn't realized that their camp had been taken over.

The green-skinned goblin with pointed ears swaggered over to the cauldron, occasionally uttering a few swear words, seemingly implying that the goblins in the camp had neglected their duties.

It turned around and waved its arm, and the goblins beside the cart shouted as they unloaded the corpse and walked toward the cauldron.

Lorraine frowned as she looked at them.

He had planned to wait until the goblins got closer to the cave before making his move, but that was no longer an option; he couldn't just stand by and watch what was about to happen.

"superior."

Lorraine gave a low shout and strode out of the cave.

He raised his left hand, pointed his fingertip at the goblin in the very center, and used a spell directly.

Lorraine's Lightning Pull

Flashes of electricity instantly wrapped around its body, and it twisted its body in terror, but could not stop itself from flying into the air.
